There's signs of something up on the walls, and Halla thinks if someone's up there, they'll be a cut above the scrubs.

no, but we do lose it all if we get hit by a trick attack.

This is true, which is why the plan includes Halting Vortex specifically to stop that.

There's signs of something up on the walls, and Halla thinks if someone's up there, they'll be a cut above the scrubs.

Also true, which is why I think we should get rid of all the scrubs (or at least render them disorganized and useless) first before we deal with that person. That'll make fighting a serious foe a lot easier.

they are positioned above us, the mooks are in a tunnel, they are on top of it and there are holes to drop stuff down into the tunnel if we make short work of the mooks the Christian will likely drop something down that hole and it probably gonna use a nasty trick

Plausibly...but Halting Vortex would almost certainly stop that dead, something they would very much not be expecting from someone without a shield. I think that definitely makes the risk worth it.

Like, what are they gonna drop on us? Rocks? Halting Vortex stops that. Thrown weapons? Ditto. Hot oil? Halting Vortex probably works there and even if it doesn't we're, uh, not very flammable.

"That..." Folkmarr begins, a happy smile on his face, "is utterly adorable."

There's a hint of something in his eyes, something that's quickly hidden by learned skill. It wasn't around long enough for you to identify it, but it reminded you of... jealousy? Envy? What does he have to be envious of? He's a Jarl!
"You stumbled into a treasure like her by mistake?"

"Ah, Halla was it?" His striking blue eyes sparkle as he examines your hair. "I see that you too are a follower of good hair. Marvelous!"

"That's me, Halla Longstride," you take his hand in your own and give it a firm shake.

"Fabvir the Gorgeous," Fabvir lacks a beard, but he honestly doesn't need it. A sword hangs from his belt and the guard resembles antlers. "No, if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to my modelling."
So... blatant Fabio expy?

We should introduce him to Asva! Go full wingwoman for our Boss.
If he's interested in Halla, then Asva is not his kind of girl.

I feel like we ought to have a plan for "go straight for the guy up above", but I don't have the ergs to make one myself. Given that....

Not necessarily. Depends on how narrow his type is and whether it's a physical...Asva is Halla's sister (so presumably a similar physical type) and seems assertive enough even if not in a combat-oriented way.
It's pretty clearly not about things like hair color. It's the "is gorgeous, and also a badass".

Incidentally... do we know if Asvir is interested in anyone? She s our older sister, right? How is she doing as far as standard marriageable age?

That's not actually clear. It's possible, but Halla also hits a lot of other buttons so it could be one of those. There's a reason I mentioned 'being assertive' in reference to Asva, for example. Some people are attracted to things like assertiveness, or to competence regardless of field, and would be just as attracted to some non-warriors as they would be to Halla.

Incidentally... do we know if Asvir is interested in anyone? She s our older sister, right? How is she doing as far as standard marriageable age?

She's a little old but not weirdly so from what I was looking at...she's 18 and 'married by 20 at the latest' is the cultural expectation from what I understand. So she could definitely use a spouse but she's not an old maid yet or anything.

Our older sister is Asva. Asvir is the vilage.

Asva sits with hands on her chin. She sighs dreamily as Jordan Halfdansson leaps over the fallen form of Moinn Burisson — knocked to the ground by a tag-team of Stigmar Kersson and Sverre Glebsson — and crosses the scoring line.

His team cheers, waving their sticks in the air as their opponents — mainly the Burissons and an eclectic mix of other boys, to keep things fair — scoff and make excuses. Jordan throws his hands sky high as he turns and shoots a wink at your sister.
I like the idea of having the Halfdans on our side.

Wait is our entire raiding party like 5 guys and halla? Lmao. I wonder if those we raid have people with abilities aswell. Or else I can't imagine why they would consider a couple dozen militia and sergeants to be sufficient protection for settlements near the coast.

Or maybe they're just holding out till their knight arrives?

Our raiding party totals 13 people...7 of us are at the gates here. And yeah, since all Norsemen are cultivators, this makes them very able to raid even places like this whose defenses outnumber us vastly.

Caught up on the thread again and woo bloody basics!

Yep! And +3 Hamingja to boot, which is quite the boon going forward.
