So, just checking, we do need an action to Empower our household, but do we need to invent a whole new spell for Initiation, or is Halla sharp enough now to be able to just modify Odr Soul-Shock appropriately to acclimatize someone?

Stigmar and company we can definitely buff reasonably safely--at least their Hamr, Abjorn would take most of the action though because we've got to walk him through.

1. What were our retainers responses to the idea of being Infused? Did that just...not happen and we need to spend another action, or did it happen, or what?
2. Do we need to spend an action to inform Dorri about the vittra and that whole thing, or can telling him the basics be assumed? Or spend our free Fylgja explore to deliver the message?

Norse don't ride horses to battle--though having one means you can attend the bigger Things since one of the requirements to have a say is being able to ride there on a horse.

Plate, I'm hoping we can find an avenue to continuing this project on the way to Gotland, we'll have to pass through Denmark after all, and that's right on the border with Christian lands. It wouldn't be impossible to find someone who can translate Latin there, one way or another.

We need to come up with versions of Halla in even more RPG systems.

The easiest way to slot Halla into Exalted would, obviously, be as a fire aspect Dragonblooded. It fits both her fire themes and the focus on lineage and dynasty the Quest overall has. She's just a Dragonblooded who took a 5 dot Mentor fluffed as a ghost bonded to her soul.

She has high Melee, Presence, and Socialize of her Caste skills, and favored Craft, Lore, and Occult, and is a Sorcerer definitely.


Her Odr stuff doesn't easily map to anything Exalted, but could easily be some sort of extended Sorcerous Working to improve herself beyond normal dragonblood ken.

Things I'm interested in:

Making fertility buffs for Kurt and his wife so he swears loyalty to us (I think having a Jarlsoul seems like a huge deal, since everyone we have met with one has been able to command us around with Force)

Making super dogs out of our family's puppies. (Vikingr may not ride horses into battle, but hunting dogs are normal. Super powerful cultivator hunting dogs? Cool.)

Making even more cool gear and stuff. (I think crafting our way to more power is fun. I want us to be decked out in a dozen Realized pieces of equipment to pass down through our family line until they're Legendary)

Things I think are important/time limited:

Going to the Thing is probably important. There's currently a power struggle in our home between the Jarl we hate and the Headsman we don't. If we want to get involved on either side, we probably have to attend.

Teaching Abjorn Odr stuff - he said he wants to walk the path with us. We should start him down it ASAP, so it doesn't look like we are not following through on it.

I'm down with more gear. That said, Realized gear are people, and require us to be a good parent to them, and do not always get along...making too many Realized Items is thus problematic. Dozens of Wondrous Items, sure, but not Realized.

I think getting involved before we figure out more about Steinarr's death is probably bad. We don't want to back the wrong people here. We could do the Divination first, but that probably means no crafting this turn, which means the book cover doesn't get done.

Realistically, we need to teach him to weave first. That apparently isn't an action, but waiting a turn while we do that and other prep and spending the actual action next turn seems right to me.

That's entirely fair. Would Infusing, say, Stigmar's Hamr be a Research action, just an Odr expenditure, or what?

This is a really good question. @Imperial Fister do we know enough to actually start learning how to drip feed someone Odr as a Trick? We'd definitely learn it if so, or would we need Research actions first, or is it not a Trick just a technique?

Oh, and side question, would our Unbinding Trick benefit from our Hugr Training Item?

This would involve raising a dozen more children who are fully capable of withholding their powers from us if we piss them off.
