I kinda feel it's probably just a narrative thing? We got a good result, our husband is going to join us on our path instead of standing in our way and limiting us. So something bad is happening elsewhere.

I'm very much inclined to agree that this is just a narrative beat, not anything in-universe.

However, Norse cultivation is narrative based enough that it's not completely unreasonable to speculate it might be something in-universe.

Asgeirr: 2
Sigurdr: 6
Eyvor: 4
Hallbjorn: 4

So, with reduced difficulty for lower numbers of kids, that should be successes for everyone.

So what do you think legendary swords can do?

I don't think Mistletoe is just 9 extra dice and a bunch of Orth

This may also have to do with him as much as the sword. Like, if he's stored some aspect of his power in the sword it's plausible that he gets a much bigger power spike from it than someone else would.
Maybe to an extent but I'm certain there's something more to the really impressive swords. The Tyrfings of the world at least have to have something special about them to explain why anyone would ever pick them up.

do you think Halla can craft a legendary sword near the end of her time? maybe as her last masterpiece?
(or remake Sagaseeker as a legendary Atgeirr)

One ring sword to rule them all
One sword to find them
One sword to bring them all
and in the darkness bind them

seriously though, I suspect its both. its probably a powerful sword by itself, but also connected to him somehow or containing his power

Once an Item is Realized, I think it's less reforging and more finding the right thing to feed them. We've already granted Sagaseeker new powers by feeding him things, if we found something truly ridiculous and fed it to him...

Would someone like to roll me a Hamingja, for your exploration action?
That's 35 dice right?

Halla (Saber) Servant Sheet (FancyMolasses)
Taking the lead from mythfan12, decided to take a crack at another class. I'm not a huge Fate person so I had to look a lot of things up and ended up going down a rabbit hole.

Class: Saber
True Name: Halla Sunshine

Parameters
Strength: B
Endurance: C+
Agility: A
Mana: B
Luck: B
Noble Phantasm: A+

Class Skills
Magic Resistance: C+
Halla is somewhat resistant to almost all hostile magical effects, in particular anything related to fire. However, she is also vulnerable to water based effects.
Riding: D
Halla is capable of riding and sailing competently, but is not particularly known for either.

Personal Skills
Born of Fire: A
Halla has access to a variety of fire-based spells and tricks, as well as an increased resistance to it and a martial style in the Stoker State. However as a consequence she is vulnerable to water-based effects.
Sunshine: B
Grants immunity to Fear effects and resistance to all hostile mental effects while under the light of the sun. This effect spreads to allies as well.
Protection From Arrows: B
Halla is exceptionally proficient at avoiding and parrying ranged attacks, even ones from outside her range of sight.
Mind's Eye (True/False): C
Halla is both capable of calmly calculating and making plans in battle while also receiving instinctual predictions from her Frenzy.
Frenzybane: B
Increased damage to any opponent using Mad Enhancement or a similar ability.

Noble Phantasm
Emberguard (Anti-Unit/Self): B
A wondrous set of mail and helm that increases the wearer's Endurance by one letter grade and converts all incoming damage into fire-based damage, while using Halla's own fire resistance as its own. It also renders the wearer functionally immune to being grappled or tied up.
Thermic Reckoning (Anti-Unit at minimum): A
Parrying many attacks, Halla stokes the furnace of her heart to build up energy. When she can no longer stand it she unleashes an intense beam of fire and heat to annihilate one person and all that stands in the beam's way.
Flame-Tending Blade (Anti-Unit at minimum): A+
The ultimate finale of the Stoker State. A giant blade of hardened fire annihilates all in its path. The more time and mana used to form it, the more powerful it is and the faster it deploys. There is no upper limit to its power.
