Could we use this on our animals more widely to create a super magical farm?
We can but I don't see the point, going down the list of things we can give with Odr.

1: Intelligence (this is bad for livestock to have)

2: Frenzy (This is only slightly less dangerous and immoral than intelligence)

3 Hamr Infusions (This doesn't increase muscle mass or strength in any way)

All in all I don't see a reason to and see several why we shouldn't

Edit: I do like the idea of making the Norse version of Knightly Companions

I mean all of it's just based on the idea that magical food Matters. If we can breed some super bulls whose offspring are less super but make everyone who eats them much buffer by absorbing the odr-bull strength there's potential value there.

The other idea being yeah, horses or hunting dog companions who can cultivate like Knights have. Make Flekkr's brood a bunch of super dog companions who we can pair our children with as partners in hunts, or who we can trust to keep home safe when we're mostly out raiding, or just because a bunch of intelligent super dogs is cool as hell.

Winter 10/A Needed Conversation
[X] *hug Abjorn* "I don't like thinking about either of those things either. But, and I _can't_ talk about how, not _won't_ but _can't_, stopping what I'm doing would be a surrender to an enemy who wishes foul things for all of us, for our children and their children and all the generations afterward. I try to be as careful as I can, and I don't blame you if you never want to deal with some parts of this...but I can't stop, and the others deserve to make their own choices about what risks they want to take. I _do_ know what happened one those occasions and generally how to avoid or reduce those issues going forward, though _new_ issues are always possible. And...if you would like, I can try and arrange for you to walk the same path and share the risks with me."

Abjorn flinches as you touch him and your heart breaks.

"Oh Abjorn," you whisper as his arms slowly, hesitantly snake around you, "I, I'm sorry. I don't like thinking of those things either, but stopping now would mean surrendering to an Enemy that desires worse than death for us all."

"Who is this enemy?" There's no hesitation in his voice, no time taken to think thoughts through. Instead of the slow, methodical pace at which he normally speaks—a pace you've long grown accustomed to—there's nothing but raw, angry hate. His eyes are bleak, shadowed by the desire to seek out and destroy whatever drives you to such lengths.

The fact that you can't tell him—despite not knowing yourself—only breaks your heart further.

"I... can't tell you," your head rests against his chest as he tenses, "not because I don't want to, but because I cannot."

"Why?" His words are short and to the point—leaving no room for him to misspeak.

"Because," you frown, though he can't see it. "Because..." How do you explain something when you can't speak it? How do you express yourself when you lack the words to use? ...This is a truly evil thing the Enemy has done, this restriction on language he's enforced. "Because I can't tell you without you walking the same path as me."

"So guide me down it, show me why you must*endanger our children so."

You lift your head to meet his wet eyes, and nod.

As you do, the world changes.

Something, somewhere, wakes.

AN: I've decided to finish the turn up tomorrow. I've also decided to give you a choice of the bad thing that happens.

No moratorium.

I think this one? All three are defensible though the Dragon seems like the worst one, to me.

EDIT: Upon reflection, added the Witch King. I slightly prefer the giants, but my big goal is to not have the Dragon.

Question: we have made the cover to go with our book, yes/no?

On one hand, dragons are terrifying monsters. On the other hand, we are a master of fire, and what better way to improve our Fire than with Dragon-Fire? Our ancestor felled a dragon and became a legend, founding our line. Why should we not seek the same glory?

Is it the wise option? The easy one? No. But it is the coolest.

Ok if the Dragon is Fafnir then who are the other two?

Edit: Dragons Breathe Etir which will end Charred Soul and therefore the Quest

This is the stupid choice but it's also the badass choice, so fuck it we ball.

We have not. Currently planned for next turn before we head for Gotland.

Dragons don't breathe fire in this universe (not in Norse lands anyhow), they spit eitr, the soul-destroying poison that causes an instant quest end.

Note: Norse dragons spit eitr, and it only game-ends you if you have Charred Soul at the time

Also, none of these will be foes you face in the near future.

edit: unless you seek them out, of course. Or you roll absolutely dogshit while in/near the lands they reside in

okay, but on the other hand consider we could have stoker state 2: stoke harder.

No clue who these guys are as Denmark is too non-specific, but:
[ ] A dragon spreads its wings for a second time in Gnitaheath
This is Fafnir.
[ ] A Witch-King seeks his sword once more in Valland
And this has something to do with this: Hrómundar saga Gripssonar - Wikipedia

I still have no clue about the giants, but Fafnir is a no-go for me. Things are already bad enough without making it harder for ourselves and the QM will give us a game over if we get cocky and reckless.
