That's actually the opposite of what he's saying, I think. He's asking if Momentum Reversal alone can do a pin and suggesting it cannot.
Momentum Reversal can either lead into an uncontested pin or an uncontested non-pin move

Well I was assuming "a pin" here meant another Fang/Glima move based around being a submission hold or whatever.

Although I guess maybe it's like the difference between a Basic Attack and a Trick/Skill attack? I.E. we can put someone into a basic pin for free, or trigger one of our pin-themed Moves for free. Like Tight Squeeze for example.
 
@Imperial Fister Deadman brought up that he isn't sure if we can have two visit options in a turn, due to my plan. What with we being restricted early in the quest to one per turn (due to spamming it).

Halla is definitely an excellent smith, perhaps best in the valley except for Sten, but are her smithing skills well known enough to attract some attention? with a piece we already made, we can offer it as prize and let the quality speak for itself. but if we offer to make a weapon for the winner, then the prestige is entirely dependent on what people think of our smithing ability. and Im not sure they are so well known outside our family and friends.

We can show off a few things and make it enticing pretty readily, I think. Emberguard and Sagaseeker are pretty impressive and we'll have all our retainers equipment to show off as well.

thats true, might require us to spend an action to go announce the tournament though. also Sagaseeker might not be best for that, we got it from Halfdan and I think thats pretty well known around Asvir. now, we definitely improved it a lot, but given we didn't originally forged it that might not be enough. but the other creations should speak to themselves.

if we do plan to do that, we might wanna tell our housekarls early to give them extra time to train and prepare? unless that would take an action or is somehow dishonorable.

we might also be able to build a small arena/ better sparring field or something, using work dice. @Imperial Fister is that possible? if yes, how many work dice would an arena need? actually, how many action would organizing a tournament take?
 
We could organize multiple events, if it dosen't take more actions.

Firestorm and Wildfire Tricks
After talking to Steinarr and Blackhand about it, you arrive with a small list of Firestorm and Wildfire tricks.

Firestorm
-Flamecalling: Call every source of flame in a radius to yourself. At Rough it is a maximum of 3 miles, which increases as you refine it further.
-Unleash Inferno: With every source of flame at your disposal, you unleash the gathered mass in the general desired direction. You may use your own fire for this, but the cost increases exponentially.
-Flaming Twister: With every source of flame at your disposal, you unleash it in the shape of a tornado of fire which dances across a given region.
-Flying Fireball: Riding a ball of flames, you streak across the sky and set fire to anything too close to your crash-site. Radius of effect and speed increase with refinement.

Wildfire
-Feeding Flames: A palmful of flames that rapidly devours and expands until it runs out of fuel. Growth rate increases with further refinement.
-Bushfire Bomb: A trap-type trick that allows the user to lay dinner plate-sized traps full of Feeding Flames that activate when stepped on. Requires Feeding Flames to be Refined first. Further refinement of Feeding Flames increases growth rate of Bushfire Bomb.
-Incinerate: Throw out a large fireball with a snap of the finger. Size increases with refinement.

Frisian Cultivation
Frisian Cultivators have a notable knack for slings and slingshots. They are masters of slinging stones and a Frisian with a sling should never be taken lightly. If you face more then one, seek cover immediately. They have been noted to smash through Perfect Defenses with ease and seem to laugh in the face of attempts to stop or slow their advance.

Stoker State experimentation
Utilizing Stoker State in non-combat ways seems to allow you to expend your built-up strength at a minor cost. If you do it more then a handful of times in a month, then you risk over-stressing your heart.

Once again mixing up Stoked Standstill, you find that it allows your Standstill moves to generate charges for your Stoker State! It also seems to have some kind of an effect on how you build-up charges, but it's difficult to tell exactly what it's doing. Perhaps you need to improve your Standstill and/or Stoker State capabilities first?

Examining the looted armor and sword
You grit your teeth as the spirit inside the sword rebukes you and calls you a 'vile heathen' while it's at it. It seems that if you want to make proper contact, you'll have to break through its defenses.

With violence, of course.

Besides that, you and Sten made a bit more progress on figuring out how the armor goes together! Now, at least, it doesn't pinch!

Still is a pain to put on, though. Surely there's some trick to it, right?

After a long few months spent in the forge, you wind up with a number of new items and toys to play with.

The first is a new masterwork wood axe made of Forged Iron and infused with beaver bone-ash—which took some serious work to get, but at least your children had fun with it. Both faces of the axe bear beaver tail-like patterns and its edge bites wood with ease.

The second is a wondrous length of Forged Iron links. This was probably the most annoying project you've worked on this winter, as each link is in the shape of a rune. When the runes are colored—by dipping it in a jar of color—the links tighten up as soon as they wrap around something and only come free through either a pulse of Standstill, a flaring of an Aspect, waiting for the color to burn out, or by figuring out what that understanding is.

The third is a grand wand of Molten Iron. It is roughly the length of your forearm and bears flame-like patterns on its surface. When you feed it orthstirr, the flame-shaped tip comes to life and leaves a trail of fire in its wake as you drag it across the sky. With this in hand, teaching your children just got a lot easier as they can't seem to keep their eyes off it!

The fourth and final project of these past few months is a wondrous harness. Inspired by the harness the fylgjur of your family train with, you made one for people-usage. It's covered in points to attach weights to, which helps your hamr, glima, and fang training.

(Masterwork Wood Axe added to inventory. The beaver bone-ash doubles work-dice gained from it. The runes add +1 success to your Chop training)
(Wondrous Forged Iron Chain added to inventory. The runes allow it to restrain things it is thrown at and also adds +1 success to your Standstill training)
(Grand Wand of Molten Iron added to your inventory. You can write runes or draw pictures in the air, allowing you to quickly illustrate topics to onlookers. People being taught by you gain an additional 6 training dice)
(Wondrous Weighted Harness added to your inventory. It adds +1 successes to your Hamr, Glima, and Fang training rolls)

Visiting Buriby with your pals
You'd been watched since you started down the trail leading to Buri's home, so it's no surprise to see that they're ready for you.

What is a surprise, however, is that Buri sits alone at a table with a single extra chair. Atop the table sits a glowing red herb with heart-shaped leaves. He's harvested it himself, by the looks of things.

Buri the Bastard is a handsome man long past his prime. He's tall and broad-shouldered with a belly hanging off his midriff. Instead of growing his gray-haired beard out like most other men, he's taken to shaving the chin while leaving the mustache and chops intact, short, and as thick as any forest undergrowth.

He eyes the retainers you brought along and you note that he's completely by himself—not a single member of his family can be seen in the house surrounded by fertile former swampland. Bringing Abjorn, Stigmar, Vagn, and the Twins along makes you look scared, you realize with a start. If anything happens, he can point out how you came with friends while he came alone.

'He's a clever bastard, this one,' Blackhand mutters as you purse your lips.

"Before we can begin, there's something I must know," Buri says with a surprisingly soft yet firm voice. "Are you planning violence on me and mine should you leave here empty-handed?"

"Not unless you do first," you respond and he nods like he'd expected that.

"Good!" He claps his hands and gestures to the empty seat, which you take. Buri folds his fingers together and sets them on the table, which shows off how unarmed he is compared to you. "Now that you've been straight with me, I'll be straight with you," he says while tapping the table. "You're not getting the plant nor are you getting a 'finder's fee'."

"And why is that?" You lean back with folded arms and narrowed eyes.

"Because you didn't find it for me," Buri speaks truthful words, much to your surprise. "I've been cultivating it for a decade now."

"You called me here just for that?" There has to be more to it, right?

"Not quite," from his pocket he pulls a small, wrinkle-ridden sphere and places it before you. You watch as the seed wobbles on the table, "I called you here to offer you the seed in exchange for an oath of silence from you and yours." He nods towards your retainers before falling silent as he waits for an answer.
