-[X] "While I can respect you not wanting people prying into whatever family matters this may relate to, I want to be sure I'm not unwittingly supporting something shameful with said oath: Will you give your oath that this secret of yours is neither to hide a crime, nor a trap nor any other matter of nid."

@Imperial Fister
Does the oath contain exceptions like "If I get asked by the Headsman or in court"?
Or would we have to request those?

[X] Accept and go home with seed in hand
-[X] "If you ever feel like discussing the cultivation of plants for poet's mead like this one, my door is open. Good luck with the crop."

Either he gets the kenning or he doesn't, and we find someone who can cultivate Odr or Odr-related things like this.

This guy is a piece of shit who likely wants us dead (if not super strongly). We do not want him to have Odr and would not help his cultivation if he did.

actually that begs the question on how do contradicting oaths work. What happens if one oath you took demands you do something, the others demands you don't? are there edge cases there allowing you to break one oath without nid due to the requirement of a higher oath? or is it just inescapable doom? or maybe you can compromise between the oaths?

Nah, you're just screwed in that case. You take nid no matter what.

is that true for everyone? we are supposedly descended from Odin, as far as I understand. so is that unique to our clan or does everyone count the gods as family in hierarchy
Origins of humanity in Norse mythology is that Odin and the lads got together and made humanity out of driftwood before giving them a bunch of neat gifts. Humanity, as a whole, are the descendants of the Gods, but you are a direct descendent.

Either way, it counts

Likewise, by adding glowstone to your Soulscape's farmhouse, you improve it to a superior grade!

This remembers me, when are we going to rebuild our farm in the real world with stone?

Firestorm
-Flamecalling: Call every source of flame in a radius to yourself. At Rough it is a maximum of 3 miles, which increases as you refine it further.
-Unleash Inferno: With every source of flame at your disposal, you unleash the gathered mass in the general desired direction. You may use your own fire for this, but the cost increases exponentially.
-Flaming Twister: With every source of flame at your disposal, you unleash it in the shape of a tornado of fire which dances across a given region.
-Flying Fireball: Riding a ball of flames, you streak across the sky and set fire to anything too close to your crash-site. Radius of effect and speed increase with refinement.

All this Tricks are absolutely crazy, the ranges given are stuff like 3 miles or entire REGIONS!

Is Firestorm basicaly a weapon of mass destruction?

Discussion on Discord has resulted in a minor rules change to Training: Items that double Training Dice now double the successes from Training Dice instead to make rolling easier on Imperial Fister. This is a slight buff to using them on 1d things and cuts down on rolling.

Great update!

I keep forgetting that @Imperial Fister actually rolls the dice by hand. Insane.

What an utter madman, absolute chad move.

So...do we want Flamecalling and Unleash Inferno or what? We want serious army-level AoE, is this how we want to do it?

Yes, absolutely. When the army of Rogaland rocks up I want us to express our warm wishes to them as if they were the city of Dresden in 1945.

Halla will make the kenning "Skyfire" so real that Surtr* himself will personally ride down from Muspell to congratulate us on a job well done, and give Halla and friends their very own Lancaster bomber as a reward.

*(The Norse name for Sir Arthur Harris.)

Have they been doing this the whole time???
'By hand' is hyperbole. I have a virtual dice roller, but, uh, I do still have to manually count successes so there's that.

I only got the virtual dice roller recently, though, and I've come up with methods and solutions to problems which plagued me in the past.

I'm worried that a big AoE will mean 100+ magical murdervikings are now moderately singed and paying attention to us specifically, and the round after we get turbofucked by several hundred assorted ranged attacks/hugareidas
