The wound in the Jedi Temple is obviously on the small side, simply because otherwise the place would look like Malachor V or the immediate vicinity of Nihilus. In fact it's small enough that I figure the Jedi could fix it somehow if they were aware of it, and could probably detect it if they didn't have so many reasons already to be on edge, plus the Shroud of the Dark Side mucking things up.

If they thought they could walk in and tell the council about it they would have done that even if it couldn't be fixed, simply to make them aware of the problem. They either are worried about the council going off the deep end if they try, or are worried about their covers and the work to fight the Sith which is admittedly important stuff.
(Also, the Chu'unthor is giving us three actions each turn -- a Diplomacy 'contact other Force sects' one, a Lore 'study other Force sects' one, and this turn we added a second archaeology action. You really want to take a sledgehammer to our action economy?)
...I like this idea. @Dr. Snark, would Raith Sienar be willing to design and build a 'Council Ship' (a la the Chu'unthor, but new, and designed specifically as a mobile center of power for the Jedi Council). There should be room for younglings and padawans, but it's up to Sienar if there's sufficient capacity for all of them; otherwise, the primary purpose would be Council Chambers + Jedi Archive, etc. Given the size of some of the mega-ships in canon, I dare say it'd be possible to design a super-dreadnaught of the same size (or bigger) than the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.
Of course, we'd be building it as a gift for the Jedi Order. Out of the goodness of our heart, see. The hardwired surveillance suite is just in case it falls into the wrong hands.
Jedi Temple rough dimensions: <2km high (the Wookiee says "over 1" so we know it's less than two) by 500m wide. The Temple, other than the spires, is roughly a cube with a side 500m wide. (There aren't a lot of spires but they're added to the total).
Rough volume: 1.25 E 8 m^3.
We just bought a controlling interest in H-K Drive. They make Lucrehulks. HMMMM.
For area calculation purposes, a Lucrehulk is a donut. We'll ignore the core sphere for the same reason we ignore the spire. The volume of the donut is a cylinder of the outer circumference minus the area of the inner circumference. Assuming (as from a glance it seems that way) that the inner open area is half the size of the outer area...
that gives us a cylinder 3000m in diameter and 1000 m in height...minus a cylinder 1500 m in diameter and 1000 m in height.
The big cylinder (7.07 E 9) minus the small cylinder (1.77 E 9) comes out to a volume in the neighborhood of 5.3 E 9 m^3.
So if we gave them something the diameter of a Lucrehulk but 10 times shorter (imagine a classic Flying Saucer) that would be about the space they were used to.
TL;DR: We could literally solve this by building them a Lucrehulk.
Presumably, they either don't know of a way to fix it thanks to the fact that a lot of Force techniques and stuff were lost over the years, it can't be fixed because the requisite stuff is too dangerous(Ie: that shadow generator thing previously mentioned) to use within Coruscant or too rare to find, or (most likely) they don't think they can get the Council to listen considering how just about everything has gone for them/the Jedi and the way the Council is becoming erratic and Yoda is constantly going off doing who-knows-what meaning one of the more stable(and thus likely to listen to them) elements isn't there to sway things. Even if they do tell them, who's to say the Council, as a whole or as individuals, will actually listen and take (key word here) appropriate action. Rather than, say erratic action and make things worse.

Can't these wound thingies be closed or healed? I mean, the Dark Side has so much powerful esoteric bullshit. Giving the Light Side some of its own that's focused on healing would make sense.

Well maybe? I mean if you just left it alone it'd probably go away in time, if only because otherwise the galaxy would be littered with them. Malachor V is a special case because it's a rather large Wound and Kreia messed around with it too. Leaving this alone is not an option because this is the Jedi Temple, on tremendously busy Coruscant.
I could totally believe a Force ritual could fix it but that's the sort of ultra esoteric used-less-than-once-in-a-thousand-years knowledge that gets misplaced easily.
(may or may not let my OCD make me add more detail, but consider this her final form for all intents and purposes. Also, turbolaser effects woooooo
Also, also: Plz don't expect something like, I dunno, Fractalsponge level. My PC would melt and, on top of that, I'm totally self-taught. ie, I'm not skilled/experienced enough for that level of detail)
I gave her a little shuttle hangar, though I know that Snark said she gave up the hangar for more power generation. I'm assuming that to mean a combat hangar. This little one up by the bow is only fit for shuttles and maybe a fighter or two, if you have someone (*cough*Anakin*cough*) who would rather troll around in a fighter.
DBY-827 heavy dual turbolaser turrets (8)
Medium dual turbolaser cannons (2)
Point-defense laser cannons (52)
Tractor beam projectors (6)
Heavy proton torpedo tubes (4)
16 torpedoes each
So the Tarkin's Folly has a heavier light weapon layout and roughly equivalent anti-fighter (I'm assuming the VenStar uses single mountings, so 60 PD barrels vs 52). But the Venator hilariously outweighs our Interdictor in heavy weapons, both proton torpedo tubes (which are better antiship weapons) and turbolasers. Remember, the single mounting on the Folly is literally a mounting off a VenStar, so 1 mounting compared to eight.
She won't be going 1-on-1 with a star destroyer (especially not a still-new ISD) and winning. But as part of a fleet, she's a super interdictor and one that can blow up smaller ships quite well. Which fits, I think, what Snark wanted out of that super-crit.
She's more like the old (also Sienar) Interdictor-class cruiser, more than an Immobilizer or such.

It's never explicitly mentioned how Force Wounds go away but given how they're described in KOTOR II the implication is that a large part of what makes a Wound so dangerous is because it's an amplifier for the negative emotions people experienced there. So long as people have vivid enough memories of the event, they'll spread the "echoes" of that Wound, keeping it alive for a time.
As such usually a Wound would eventually fade away simply because it's "echoes" have faded into history - sure people still know whatever caused it happened but it's no longer actively driving people insane.
Malachor is weird because that not only was a Wound in and of itself, but it spawned two sub-Wounds for lack of a better way of putting it: Meetra and Nihilus. So that one doesn't really play by the usual rules on its own, and that was before Kreia tried to mess with it.

I. Love. It. It looks like it came right out of one of the X-Wing games, it's great!
Anyway. With that out of the way I'll offer one (technically 2) out of a suite of bonuses:
-Two questions I have to answer truthfully
-Turns out Raith enjoyed working on this particular project so much that he's willing to take on an additional contract again next quarter. (That one's not free though. He's got a business to run after all!)
-Since this is a Unique VesselTM she'll need a Named Character to captain it so that they can dramatically shout orders during battles. As such you'll get the ability to create a captain for this ship. I'll throw this one in for free if you're interested, otherwise I'll have to leave it to the whims of the omake writers.
-Other cool thing I can't think of as usual
Malachor is weird because that not only was a Wound in and of itself, but it spawned two sub-Wounds for lack of a better way of putting it: Meetra and Nihilus. So that one doesn't really play by the usual rules on its own, and that was before Kreia tried to mess with it.
My understanding of Meetra is that she didn't become a Wound because of Malachor itself. It was because she completely cut herself off from the Force, something which (as far as I know) had never been done or even considered possible before. It's possible Nihilus's origins were similar, especially since he's described as what Meetra could have become if she went Dark Side.

Admiral Ackbar is currently Captain Ackbar of the Mon Cal self defence forces. Since the Mon Calamari have joined the CNS, could we poach him?
I just love the idea of Captain Ackbar of the interdictor Tarkin's Folly announcing "it's a trap" at appropriate moments when he, you know, traps a fleet with his interdictor.
I agree with @Killerflood. I get that there is more to come, but I always understood that while Ciaran herself is visible, and the sentinels know about her underworld ties, the Watchers are far more opaque.
"It's exactly as it sounds, Master Cata. Quinlan and I are requesting asylum within the Abyss Watchers or Council space itself if the first option is not possible," he said as the Kiffar in question nodded in affirmation. "I understand there would be some issues with that given both our circumstances-"
"T-that's not what I'm concerned about right now!" Silas hissed. "Why in the hell are you asking me!? And more importantly what do you want protection from!?"
The public face of the Abyss Watchers is a mercenary group, from what I can remember. And one not connected with Ciaran directly at that. The fact that these two know the name is...okay, but I feel like Silas should react much more strongly to the use of the name in this context. If they were requesting asylum from Ciaran, I wouldn't have an issue, but as is it threw me out of the story.
@Dr. Snark, can you clarify what is known about the abyss watchers? Not what these two know, but what is public, what is known to intelligence agencies and so on.
I wonder if we could sabotage the Temple in such a way that it's no longer habitable?
Given the scale and layers of Coruscant maybe have a 'Separtist' plot to sabotage the Temple's foundations and suppprt pillars be discovered after doing some damage so suddenly it's too unstable to live in.

See, Nihilus didn't cut himself off from the force. Meetra did. Both became wounds, both were at Malachor.
More than that, the Jedi Masters state that Meetra cut herself off from the Force because she could otherwise not withstand the echo of the dead and dying.
Nihilus did not withstand it and became what he did. Logically, from that, the Wound did not come from the severing, but either the event right before or something right after.
Otherwise, Only one of them would have become a Wound.
Considering in the Jedi's own words, she continued to Echo the pain of Malachor, and the Ithorians on Telos state that you are holding a planet's worth of pain, then it is far more likely that she cut herself off right after becoming a Wound.
As far as I'm aware, we're never really told how Nihilus became what he was aside from him being at Malachor, and are left to draw our own conclusions from there. Granted, I could be misremembering, it's been at least five years since I played the game.

My understanding of that was that Meetra would have flat out died if she hadn't cut herself off from the Force, not that she would have become like Nihilus.

Actually, the Temple is the single location on Coruscant that such isn't able to be done, for it actually sits upon bedrock, on the top of the highest mountain peak to be more specific. Not to mention the Nexus, and therefore the Wound is actually centered around the mountain, so if you go under the temple, you would just get closer to the wound.

I have to say that this one is a little underwhelming since most of your FanArt rewards are at least more permanent than that, could it be possible to make the second sienar action permanent (or at least to be used for a few more quarters)?
