They are my favorite faction in Empire at War.

They were definitely interesting but I'll agree with Dr. Snark (If it wasn't Teron it must have been him) in that some of the stuff Zann pulled off were ... unusual in how convenient it all came to be due to there being almost no backstory for this one off character. I'm almost certain that the game was definitely not meant to be considered actual Canon in any shape or form.

Yorvi the Hutt and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Hmm...hmm...okay, this isn't canonical yet, but given the nature of it (and the fact that I honestly kind of like poor Yorvi) it may or may not become future canon like the Thrawn omakes did. Stay tuned, and have a +10.

Also...

*stares at the whole madness involving a certain Twi-lek*

That was kinda intended as a throw-away line of something Silas probably handles in his sparetime. I did NOT expect everyone to get THIS invested in this.

Never underestimate the power of a good tragedy. Especially if it involves cute alien girls.

Not sure if I did say that but to be honest from a narrative standpoint it yes would be really difficult to integrate Tyber Zann given the sheer lack of any information on anything aside from what he did in Forces of Corruption like, say, how he got his criminal syndicate or how the fuck he ended up on Kessel. And also yes he isn't really around yet.

I might end up doing stuff with him in the future if I need him for some role or other, though.

(best example being the Director of Special Projects Wilhuff Tarkin).

This is awesome, but I can't ever see Tarkin working for Ciaran. The man is a human supremacist (and already deep in Palpy's clutches) and Ciaran is half "alien".

When I saw this in the Turn 11 Results, my first thought was: "Wait, we have companies on Castell?" So I did a bit of backtracking, and found this in Turn 8:

This is the reason why I wanted to set up a base on Castell - because we already have serious assets (and a bunch of our income) coming from there.

Also, It's Shu Mai's homeworld and doing good on Castell is a way to maybe peel the whole Commerce Guild away from the CIS and into the CNS.

I'd forgotten she was Ciaran's former employee though.

Is there an update for 'Outbound Flight' in our future? We had a whole series of actions investing in the project and maneuvering the expedition to avoid Palpatine's sabotage, but we've heard nothing from them (or our agents on board) in the last decade. One of the reasons Palpatine tried to sabotage the project (besides his usual 'kill all Jedi' antics) was due to his worry that Outbound Flight would encounter the Yuuzhan Vong and return to warn the rest of the galaxy of the impending danger (...which would cause more moderate voices to regain control of the peace process and bring the Clone Wars to a sudden end in order to deal with the threat of extra-galactic invasion). Will Outbound Flight play any further role in this quest?

I thought Thrawn was the reward.

It came from when the Jedi Council are discussing what happens if Palpatine doesn't give up his emergency powers after Grievous' death. Mundi says he should 'be removed from office' and Windu adds and I quote:

"The Jedi Council would have to take control of the Senate in order to ensure a peaceful transition."

Essentially the Jedi Council pulling out their lightsabers and staging a military coup was the very first idea that day on how to deal with the Chancellor.. and that was before they found out he was a Sith Lord.

Yeah, there's a reason "bringing balance to the Force" involved massacring the Jedi of the Coruscant temple.

I thought this was the Star Wars Crime Lord Quest? (Edit: Almost typed 'Star Wars Time Lord Quest'.)

Oh gawd... That would be awesome and if I knew more Star Wars or Dr Who lore, I would run that myself.

I would love to have The Master end up in the Star Wars galaxy right after he stole the Doctor's Tardis after his regeneration from Cadfael (Derek Jacobi was the best Welsh monk) to John Simms. Not because I like the Simms Master particularly, but just because the idea of The Master being trapped in the SWGalaxy with a Tardis that didn't like him would be soooooooooooooo fun.

So something that was done on a few of the other questions I read are these Negaverse omakes which are structured as thread conversations for a hypothetical Quest in an alternate universe where we control another faction. I'm wonder if anyone would be willing to write one since I would love to see the reactions to this bullshit.

I wonder what the players in the Jabba quest would think of Ciaran?

There's a reason for the nickname of the 'Empire of Exiles'.

I don't think the Jedi Council actually read the Chosen One Prophecy.

Strangly enough someone seems to have decided that the mere existance of Darksiders was an imbalance in the Force while the Jedi were completly perfect as they were.

I'm still thinking the first interpretation of that prophecy was made by Atris and nobody ever questioned it.

Are we talking about canon where the dark side is some sort of taint of the actual force (and thus "bringing balance" meant removing said taint) or are we talking about fanon where the dark side is just that, one side of a whole?

Because it sounds like we're talking about fanon. Not that I mind because I prefer fanon over canon in this instance.

Is that still canon?
I thought the erasure of that idea was one of the better aspects of the new canon.

@Artemis1992

Reading the wookieepedia article about it, it seems like the dark side being "a taint" is still the general canon philosophy about the dark side even if it isn't explicitly stated. Everything in the article shows it in negative terms. The quote "use of the dark side by somebody with generally good intentions in a moment of weakness could leave that individual feeling weak and shivery, with a general feeling of wrongness" is used.

They did. "Balance" just means the Jedi Council, right? THEY ARE THE BALANCE!
To be fair they interpret the Dark Side as an unnatural corruption of the Force, to them bringing balance to the Force meant the end of the Dark Side.

To them variation in the Force existed in concepts like the Living Force etc.

To be fair the only species naturally attuned to the Dark Side are the Red Sith, so much so that the Sith had no concept of a difference between the Dark Side and the rest of the Force before Infinite Empire invaded.

So it's entirely natural to see the Dark Side as the imbalance given how it consistently makes almost everything worse except this species of racist assholes.

I liked the concept. The Force sees the Sith trying to bend the Force to their will and witnesses the Jedi put listening to the Republic above listening to The Force who is trying to point out the Sith. So the Force puts into motion the big reset, the Jedi are killed off and the Sith self-destruct leaving behind a young man who hadn't taken in any Force Philosophy classes.

Originally Yorvi died, but he grew on me too much by the end. I'm glad he came out as pitiable as I imagined.

It was never fanon. It was established in the EU with the Je'daii that Light and Dark were essentially just parts of the Force, and that true Balance came from using both and not favouring one over the other.

So, it's EU material. Admittedly, that's not canon now, since Disney pretty much scrapped the EU...

Hey guys, I've recently caught up with this hilariously awesome quest. But I do have a suggestion. With the influx of more esoteric force techniques/training/teachings I think it would be a good idea to have a main page section for them as an ease of reference.

There is one group I'm rather surprised that the Watchers or CNS hasn't run into and that is the Wardens of the Sky. I mean, they're basically wandering muscle wizards in Star Wars!
