TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands.
To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.
I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.
I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.
I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all.
Welp guys it seems like this world warner and our Warner are going the same way in the gutter now because the Coyote movie is going to be shelved and deleted and they have refused to even sell the movie
I meant how our Warner is definitely heading to literally going bankrupt or well the corruption because they are killing complete movies for no reason other then tax cuts and refusing to even sell the ones most complete that would definitely have made millions
I meant how our Warner is definitely heading to literally going bankrupt or well the corruption because they are killing complete movies for no reason other then tax cuts and refusing to even sell the ones most complete that would definitely have made millions
Say @Magoose wouldn't it be insane since we're the most inspiring guy in the USA that the creators of Bojack horseman made Bruce instead of secutaret his role model
Genre: Adventure, Action, Comedy, Tragedy Sub-Genre: Hero's Journey, Pseudo-Isekai Format: Full Feature Animated Film Bio:
A story of two brothers, lost in a world different from theirs – of twist and turns, differences great and small. No matter what, their journey would last a thousand years, in search of returning home. Regardless, no matter how hard it seems or strange or idealistic the idea seems – the world revolves around, and so will they travel, Across the Universe.
The Main Characters of: Across the Universe:
Octavian: The Younger Brother of Randino, He is often seen as the idealist of the two brothers, often wondering how to make life better for not just himself, but the others as well. He holds the tendency to help around towns for the everyday person, where he usually tries to not accept rewards given to him with the claim of just wanting to do the action, but the townspeople would find ways to reward him anyway. He dreams of creating a better world for everyone to live in..this view becomes contested through-out the journey, but for every hit (metaphorically), he becomes refined.
Randino: The Older Brother of Octavian. He is the moderate of the two, however he holds views that he knows from the start that he's hidden from his brother: The Darkness of Humanity. He tends to be aloof to all but himself and his brother, where he acts as the typical older sibling. However, on his journey, he soon discovers dangers that his brother overlooks, and so resolved himself to ho on an aggressive pace of power in order to save Octavian from the dangers – no matter what.
Minor Characters:
Magoosiavus: A recurring character through-out the film, where he is known as the "God of Luck and Stories", represented by the symbol of a 100-sided Die. His motives are unknown, with his speeches cryptic and vague, which leads the two brothers to have different interpretations of what his actions and his speech means. (He is the one that brought the two Across the Universe.)
King Caesar Christian: The ruler of the first Kingdom the two brothers arrive in, one of which is inspired by the Italian Renaissance. He has a passion in the arts of writing, and would often than not create stories in a book he would explain to release once upon his death, one called "The Omakes".
Princess Schehera: The older daughter of Caesar Christian, she holds the same passion for writing as her father, however would often than not roll her eyes at common jokes. She takes a liking for the brothers as they belong to a world not known to any of them. She often than not enters disputes with her younger sister, Ceasarine Nova.
Princess Ceasarine Nova: The youngest daughter of Caesar Christian, different from her sibling, she does not speak much often and prefers listening to conversations to make out thoughts and ideas based on them. When she does talk, it'd be something she believes that should be placed in further thinking by the general vicinity. She would often enter bicker matches against her older sibling.
Overmind: The seemingly villain that appears after Randino committed his first act. He is the Prime Guardian of the Magoosianverse, that protects the worlds from going into chaos – however his luck in completing the mission revolves around the Dice of Magoosiavus, which is the prime requirement to basically do anything. This dice gets stolen by Randino, and allows him the freedom to go after the siblings to return it back.
Trooperian: A travelling Bard that, for some reason, plays lyre versions of music the two brothers are only familiar with. He joins up with the two brothers on their journey for "inspiration".
Andrewvian Pandrewus: A travelling merchant that joins with the crew in hopes of attaining new wares for his merchant business.
Quidrivus: He is a ruler of a Realm that the crew would visit. He has a strong sense of justice and would be suspicious of Randino.
Ciberius Philosophiser: A living prophet of the Magoosiavus Faith, in which he brings the message of the coming end times, and can only be mitigated when "two becomes one" (which is a foreshadow).
Restalanie: A Commoner Woman that holds great ambitions in life, to become one of the greats. She travels alongside the brothers in their journey, and often than not would talk mostly with Randino – encouraging him to reach higher.
Whisiou Si-youm: A travelling monk that shared knowledge of the common matters of the world, not to mention believing in the ideas of mysticism as a factor of life. In fact, he is known as the "Eye" of the Magoosiavus faith, the Keeper of Knowledge.
Duke William of ???: He is the Ruler of the last realm the Brothers would meet, he holds relics in his treasury, of value and power are unknown.
Story Direction:
Octavian: Shirou/UBW-Styled Hero's Journey (Becoming a more reassuring character in the end, where his journey taught him a lot, from skills and to philosophies/ways of thinking. Unfortunately, his final test would be against Randino.)
Randino: Thanos-Styled Hero's Journey (Albeit, becoming the Final Boss/Villain of the story, where all his actions come to bite him in the behind, not to mention how he's become the very thing that nearly destroys the time and space.) | He is the holder of the Dice of Magoosiavus until the final battle.
N/A: Don't know what came over me to create this, but decided to create a Hero's Journey that uses two at the same time..while getting inspiration from The Studio.
Genre: Choose Your Own Adventure (Light Novel) Sub-Genre: Adventure, Action, Comedy, Romance Bio:
Welcome to the World of 2017 – wait you haven't been here before? The CYOA (Light Novel) takes place in the world of Code Geass, where the easier point of alternate history to swallow is the French-Spanish winning the battle of Trefalgar, which leads to Napoleon winning the Napoleonic Wars. Regardless, the story follows a boy by the name of Rai, who suffered from amnesia, in living his life in the hotspot of the world: Area 11, known formerly as Japan.
Notes: This story can be considered as Lost Media of the Code Geass Franchise, as it is only made with the Japanese Language in mind. Previous attempts at translating the game into English ended with the translators quitting. So this (ITL) version of it would be turned into an actual CYOA/Light Novel as an introduction to Code Geass before the actual series is created. It contains many paths from the following:
Geass Chapter: You/Rai's journey revolves around the mystical power of Kings: Geass.
Blue Moon/Ashford Academy Chapter: You/Rai becomes neutral from the fighting, and is instead focused on the Ashford Academy life.
Black Knights Chapter: You/Rai join the Black Knights after Kallen saw you fighting in a Knightmare.
Britannian Military Path: You/Rai befriend Suzaku Kururugi, and would join the Britannians in the armed conflict against the Black Knights.
Japanese Liberation Front Path: An exclusive only to the PSP version of the Light Novel, it is accessible (ITL) to this version. It follows you/Rai branching off from the Black Knights to join Chiba and the JLF.
In total, there are 20 different endings for Lost Colors, with the possibility to also have Rai date different characters spanning many, with examples from Kallen, Nunnally (Yes, Lelouch is their supervisor on their first date), Nina, Milly, Euphemia, and even Cornelia (and more).
N/A: Wrote this because I thought it was a shame that Lost Colours never got an official or completed English translation, so I thought we can introduce it ITL as an introductory piece to the Code Geass Franchise. If it gets popular, we can produce the Anime version people looked back fondly on..
Wait if we make Code Geass can it include the USA as in the bratnnians have conquered all of Europe instead of the Americans while the USA is a stand in for the EU
That brings in the question of..how did the Britannians even conquered Japan from a larger distance than before?
At least its Canon location of the Americas makes more sense as it's close to the region.
Also..the Britannian Royal Family fled to the Americas (Which was actually planned IRL during the Dominion of Canada Days, in case the British Isles fell) then formed the Britannian Empire. (Franklin Benjamin betrayed the Revolution after a deal with Britannia).
To change their locations and all would basically change Code Geass in its entirety.
Trooperian: A travelling Bard that, for some reason, plays lyre versions of music the two brothers are only familiar with. He joins up with the two brothers on their journey for "inspiration".
Genre: Tragedy and Drama Sub-Genre: PTSD Awareness, Post-War Format: Full Feature Film Bio:
A story of two brothers, one went to serve as a Marine in Vietnam while the other finally finished his time in prison. When the first brother was declared dead, the freed brother swore to take care of the new widow and the children. The widow and the alive brother became close..but unexpectedly, the supposedly dead brother returned home – changed from before the service. But as all things, the returned brother went through a trauma that none can know, and its impact has not finished.
Main Characters:
Captain Sam Sahill: The brother that went to Vietnam after being called for Marine Service, he is married to his highschool sweetheart and has two kids with her. He is reportedly dead – until he returns, with a newfound paranoia and trauma that was never there before his active service.
Tommy Sahill: Captain Sahill's brother, who was recently released from prison for the alleged case of armed robbery. He cares for his brother, and when he was reported to die, he blamed his father for encouraging Sam to follow in his footsteps (the father is a Korean War Veteran). He swore to redeem himself for his brother, and takes care of the widow and her children. She and He become close, however everything changes with his supposedly dead brother returning home a changed man.
N/A: Another film that fits pretty muchly in the time frame, in addition on focusing the two sides: The Trauma and the Family..
If only it (the movie) can be extended in terms of publishing to when Tobey Maguire starts his career, from what I see he's done Sam well.
Alright, so...I kind of gave up. This shit was such a pain in my fucking ass. I don't even get why, since it's a short game with much of the information about it available online, but this thing was just impossible for me to write. I've been working on this damn thing for months, but I just couldn't ever get it done. Even now, I had to massively cut down on the length of the pitch. It was intended to include a summary along with a longer cast list, but I really couldn't do it, my mind was going numb. I just want this damn thing out of sight and done so I can move on and do other things, so here ya' go. I envision this film coming between Dark Descent and Machine for Pigs since that's how the timeline lines up. There's more that I have to say in general, but fuck it, I'm done.
Yeah, just not anytime soon. I both want to and have to focus on and prioritize other omakes and pitches before that. Maybe if I spend some time away from it, my brain won't melt every time I try to write up a summary. My current(read as immediate) plan is to finish my Sign-On Bonus Omake(I'd say roughly a third of the way done in the past 2 days, so good progress) to go along with the Watchmen Pitch for Fanhunter, then touch up my SCP pitch that you helped me with and another horror pitch I've got on the back burner, and then dedicate the rest of my time to finishing my Stay Determined Omake (mapping it out is almost done) to go with the Undertale Pitch with maybe doing a few short pitches here and there along the way to keep me from going insane focusing on only one thing that whole time.
(Picture Comes from: Origins Picture) Genre: Philosophy, Roman History, Epic-ish Sub-Genre: Hero's Journey, Marcus Aurelius, The Stoics Format: Full Feature Film Bio:
Marcus Aurelius: Meditations follows the Young Roman Emperor from his childhood days, learning and spectating from those around him. He reflects upon them and thinks of them further, in how he acts and speaks, to how he thinks and his priorities. The purpose of the film isn't about fantasising the Great Historical Figure, but to give the audience an experience that subtly has them understand concepts from Meditations through scenery and seemingly personal experience, not to mention the experimental usage of the usually dismissed genre of music: Ambient/Environmental Music. Follow his journey as he grows from the inexperienced and still learning child, into the man that faced the harshest that nature offered to the Roman Empire - and not even his own Empire gave him quiet.
Main Character:
Marcus Aurelius: A famous influencer of Stoic Philosophy, his experiences – in addition to others, developed him into the person he is and was known in History. The story shows Meditations in practice, in his interactions, his learning of the principles he adopted as he grows old, the rest. The movie is focused on his journey as the Emperor and as the Stoic Philosopher.
N/A: A Short introduction, but an ambitious project focus on learning the values of Marcus Aurelius, in addition to create an Epic-ish of the Roman Emperor. The film focuses mostly on his experiences amplified by scenery, film techniques, and the usage of ambient/enviromental music to give a full impact that has the audience subtly learn from the character - of which teachings show aspects from Meditations and give a "full" context for many to learn from and how it impacted him as a person and Emperor.
Genre: Slice of Life, Music, Adventure, Comedy Sub-Genre: A Musician's Life, Simulator Bio:
A game about an introverted girl by the name of Bocchi Gotoh (Or Gotoh Bocchi in Japanese) that knows more about the art of guitars than any person..that she's previously met – which means to say practically no one at all. On the first day of school, she decides to bring her electric guitar out..and basically no one notices. It was only when being at a playground worrying about herself that a girl with yellow hair and flying ahoge on her head would ask her to come and play with the band she's in. That day changed her life..
Follow Bocchi and her new friends as she attempts to reach the high of stardom..or suffer in a mango box, really.
The Main Characters:
Hitori "Bocchi" Gotoh: The Character that you, the player, are following. She is respectfully a certified introvert to the highest levels, although she is quite good at playing lead on guitar. She suffers from an inferiority complex that can quickly become an ego complex if given enough talking – but would usually fall flat when meeting a situation that would make her quickly stressed out.
Nijika Ijichi: The drummer of the band, she is known to be basically the main driver of the Kessoku Band. She holds a motion of self-confidence that Bocchi grips for dear life. She is the younger sibling of the owner of Starry, where the band would perform in.
Ikuyo Kita: The Rhythmic Guitarist of the Kessoku Band. Different from Bocchi, she would be the main excessive personality that hides a rather vulnerable side to her. She would confer to her fellow guitarist for help on her work as a guitarist. She has an obsessive side of her in favour of Ryo.
Ryo Yamada: The based Bassist of the Group. She has an emotionless expression on her face and actions, but don't let that fool you, for she is a mischievous girl that comes across as a person that has fun from messing with others. She is the Co-Lyracist to the band's songs, withBocchi as her Co-Partner in the endeavour.
(More about them would be explored, in addition to the other characters of the Series.)
Game Mechanics:
The game includes a stress metre that affects Bocchi's Social Interactions and events, with the higher it becomes the more troubling it can be. The stress metre will reset once having a night of sleep – of which skips to the next day, and stress can be reduced as the player progresses in the story. (School in-game is mandatory attendance, with the goal to be able to pass High School so you don't need to think about it anymore.)
Dialogues in the game are combined with "animated" expressions with the appearance of the character that is speaking, along with their name. A combination of visuals and text brings the character to life, with their personality shining through.
There is a mechanic that works when Bocchi's imagination runs wild, which is something that comes out of random occurrence (and even appears during dialogues)..that for some reason only the band accepts as the natural state of the world. With Ryo having raccoon ears on her head randomly when being mischievous, or Bocchi entering her bouts of worryness, Kita's Rainbow Shine of Extrovert Energy, Nijika's moving Ahoge, etc.
There is a currency system of the game, where there are performances that require cash, not to mention to market the Band and their songs. Money can be acquired from working part-time at Starry, or asking your parents for money (which costs more stress points than working part-time). There are also items that can be bought from the mall and small stores, with instruments reaching higher expenses than small items like groceries.
The game also works as a Band Simulation game, in which of itself is experimental game designing/mechanics compared to other games. The more Band Practices are held, the less errors/faults would occur when performing "live" in-game, and would improve the band's PR, which means (if a song/album is released in-game) more sales and chances of going on tour.
There is a game creation mechanic that allows the player to actually play around with the instruments to create sounds in different pitches, notes, etc. In addition to the players creating their own lyrics for their custom songs.
To make the game interesting, there are random events (as much as can be created without crashing or not making sense to the plot) that occur now and then, that introduce new situations that can affect Bocchi's Stress Levels, PR, Stardom, etc.
N/A: Oddly enough, an OTL Manga/Anime series that I want to turn into a game for Bocchi to officially join the ranks of Smash Bros ITL..really pulls out the creativity aspect to go all out on creating an actual original game. Would it be revolutionary for the time? Not sure, but the game should introduce the genre of simulation to the next level, with a level of customization a dream a person could have..now time to plan for Bocchi the Rock 2 with Online Leaderboards and other ideas/developments..
