Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

Oh okay, so we're also obligated to the sequel or is that another favor? And what are we using the favour on?
Not really, but we used a good chunk of political capital to ensure Kathleen wasn't screwed over by the Execs and because of that, and the desire for a good (Live-Action) Justice League movie, we're probably gonna try to see it through to the end.

As for what we're gonna use that favor on, we already spent part of it on ensuring the film would be shot in LA [heresy, I know, Gotham's canonically in New Jersey] so that we could be with Carrie and Mary during the film's production.

Really? Bit disapointing. Would they be open for a Marvel crossover? I'm not a comics guy so i don't know if that happend already.

I don't know just how true it is, but in the video recommended yesterday, about the clone wars not being good, the guy said George Lucas was the one who created Ahsoka as well as the idea of her being Anakin's padawan. So if that's true you don't need to wait for Filoni.

Nope, George Lucas was mainly behind the entire operation, but he was not the guy in charge. He would come up with ideas and the rest would make them come through, but in the end it was Filoni who was in charge most of the time, and the one who created Ahsoka.

And look, I'm all for creators making ther own characters, and Ahsoka had her day, but I don't think creating her now is a good idea. Frankly, she worked better as a supporting character for Anakin in order to show his growth, and her dying would have made her immortalized in the minds of every Star Wars fan, but I think she should have stayed dead after the Clone Wars.

And I absolutely refuse to entertain the idea of "Rebels" being a thing.

You're misremembering. He says that George mandated Anakin having a Padawan, not that he himself actually created Ashoka. That was all Filoni.

Honestly, I don't really care whether or not we get Ahsoka before the turn of the century, I just want Galen Marek to be canon and that Sam Witwer's a part of that.

And is somewhat involved in out other projects, like Inspector Spacetime or supporting Jensen Ackles.

With the inherent Mary Sue-ness of the character in the video game toned down, right? Because I'm fine with Galen being absolutely overpowered in a non-canon videogame, but he'd make for a poor canon character unless his powers and abilities are nerfed even just a little.

While I haven't watched Clone Wars (the 3D one, I have watched the 2D shorts and it's glorious!), I really wish to deepen the lore and Anakin's whole Chosn One role with The Father, The Daughter, The Son... whatever that role be. Look, I just heard about those three godly manifestations of The Force and it sounded interesting.

Maybe have Anakin have this role of balancer like The Father who (prior to becoming Vader) had the potential to reach that level but in exchange never leave the temple at which the ghosts reside or something, to which he gives up on this path in order to save his loved ones (like Luke in Empire).

...Okay, I don't know where I was going with this. I'm just mumbling nonsense at this point.

What's wrong with Rebels? It was a decent cartoon.
I disliked it for what it did to the Canon of the Original Trilogy. It may not seem the same to you, but for me it threw everythting that I loved about it to the thrash. Ezra Miller at times seemed to be stronger than Luke, which is supposed to be the main hero. Thrawn is mde into a poor copy of what he truly was in the EU, and most of the characters range from annoying (Ezra) to just superfluous (Hera). Hell, the only one I liked was Kanan because that was the first time I've ever seen the idea of a Jedi (or Padawan as he was) to have survived and trying to survive on his own.

I could say more, but i don't want to go on a rant. Frankly, I dislike "Rebels", and I don't want it to be a thing. I understand others feel differently and ahve their own opinion about it, and that's just fine. But, this is my opinion and feelings of the show.

Of course they're stronger! They have the Speed Force! Though, I do wish they'd picked somebody, anybody other than that manic, idiotic, thieving, no-good, possibly pedophile, piece of utter trash–

Wait... No, you're talking about a different Ezra. Nevermind, then. :V

I'll be honest, I'm not a fan at all of the idea of father, daughter, son, I find that having a physical incarnation of the force spoils the thing.
could we avoid it please ?

I mean I don't have any strong feeling about Rebels. I watched it over the shoulders of someone who is more into that sort of thing and from my impresion it was a serviceable cartoon. I'm unaware of the details that is not covered in the original movies and prequals like EU and Disney slop so I was confused for your hatred for it.

My spirit animal in this quest is Mike Eisner who really does not care of the minutiae of the cartoons and who is more 'is it good enough to sell junk to children'

The fact the cartoons are high quality and well liked says more about his hands off behavior and trust in the talent then anything else.

And his desire to make money.

I was talking more about the version in the novelizations, where all of that was massively toned down.

Like that bit with him messing with the Star Destroyer? Made it clear he was grabbing the steering wheel and just ripping that thing down.

I miss the Yuzhong Vong...

Hear, hear!

Eh, Legends did it best where they were just jailors for Abeloth, and the Force barely factored into their power.

This is pretty incredible, and I love how the Magoose Dice has somehow made Blade Runne´s reception very much like OTL but cranked up to eleven...

Seeing how the Cyberpunk Genre is getting popular, we need to strike when the iron is got and make sure that we get the rights for many cyberpunk masterpieces that will be written in this decade like Neuromancer, Tripwire, A Song Called Truth...

Besides that, if we want to totally break the Animation Age Ghetto, this is the perfect time to release Cyberpunk Edgerunner a few decades earlier (I don´t know if it would be better to go for several OVAs or a single film), we just have to change the setting from 2077 to 2013...

Pretty sure either the 2030s or 2050s would work better, if only because it gives breathing room for TTRPG DMs and players to work with given the lack of content in those eras...

Yeah, but IIRC the only Cyberpunk TTRPG version that has been released at this point in the quest is Cyberpunk 2013...

So if we want to release it soonish and be a part of the Cyberpunk Franchise the 2013 era would have to do...
