Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

I have an idea for us to take revenge on China, we are doing kun fu panda we are smuggling incomplete copies/advertising trailers or complete copies to the people in China through the sencure and they say that we refuse to broadcast it because of the attempted assassination on the part of the Chinese government, with the irl popularity of this film in China it should piss them off a bit.
do you think that could mess them ?

Yes do it it could cause a chain reaction

While crossovers were the norm for television, no one had ever conceived of a series of different movies sharing a same universe and that completely stumped Hollywood.
Actually, that's not true. The obvious thing would be the original Universal Monsterverse, which could definitely be described as the first cinematic universe in Hollywood's history.
but seeing Lynda Carter as Diana Prince come onto the scene blew everyone's minds that it wasn't just the big boys who would be on the screen, but that the Trinity proper would be in theaters together, something only previously seen in the cartoons.
IIRC, didn't overmind's Wonder Woman pitch that Magoose said was going to be made into the film have Wonder Woman be cast as someone else?

I rolled, and both the other people were passed over for Lynda Carter.

Blame magoose dice
Well, the movie has Diana be a bit more naive and sheltered which is why I put the actresses to be a bit younger. Then again, Diana and the amazons are also supposed to be immortal so let's see how this goes.

Hair style and costume will have to be different than the show though.

So in regards to the Clone Wars debate that I missed, I really want us to do 2d instead of 3d. Regardless of one's stance on the storytelling, I really feel that the potential of Clone Wars is extremely hampered by 3d where there's a limit on the imagination thanks to needing to use existing assets instead of drawing them into existence, and as such the scale absolutely sucks ass because they can't go wild with their imagination. It was something I discovered with an epiphany of the climax of Rebels Season 3 where it was just the Rebel carrier and a few Tantives against three Star Destroyers, not to mention there's a dozen starfighters on both sides, and I realized how lame and sucky this is because they can't be bold thanks to using 3d. If we go for 2d and stylize it like an anime, we can make some really fucking epic and grand battles like the Gendy run and have a similar presentation to Gundam.

I'll talk more about the story when we get to it, but one thing I feel from TCW that we absolutely should not do is Barriss' downfall. Not only does it assassinate and waste her character from Legends for drama, but it also erases the Medstar books which are some of the best material in the EU. Also, I really want Medstar to have its own miniseries or at least a movie because the Medstar duology was essentially MASH in space, and considering Han Solo actor and Lucasfilms co-founder Bruce was one of the stars of MASH, I think that the Medstar books would really speak to him and he'd want to adapt it properly.

Also I switched the Korean War charity to buying the rights to PK Dick's books as I believe it molds really well with Blade Runner's success.

I really hope that christopher don't get an accident in this timeline.

If we want to avoid it we gotta make sure he never takes any movies which need him to learn horseback riding.

I guess we really are gonna have Ares=Bruce memes in-universe now lol.

My idea is that the Wonder Woman of the show and the Wonder Woman of the DCU are two completely separate people existing in different Earths.

That honestly seems like a bit of a cheap move considering you're changing it so last second and specifically to take advantage of something that happened after the votes had been made. I'm sure you can technically still do it, but seems a bit off to me.

YAY!!!

Fine, I'll switch it back.
NOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Oh well, next time then.

I also want us to adapt the Dark Horse stories, or at least use them for inspiration. I still recall my favorite one was when Obi Wan ahd to go on a mission deep into Confederate territory in order to find the cure for a Bioweapon, and to do so he had to be accompanied by an epic group of jedi Knights that were fleshed out so well through the entire arc that they truly felt alive, not just put in at the last moment.

If we can do something like that then I think it will be magnificent. Not to mention how the comics did a much better job in showing the grey morality of the war, and how horrible it was as well. The espionage, double crossing, moments were you weren't even sure if a character was good or evil...Damn, I really want us to capture that feeling.

Would we put Ahsoka in the main films rather than the extended universe this time?
I'd like to, and tried to set it up that way, but Ahsoka apparently ain't on the way till Dave Filloni's on scene:
Dave here seemed to have a rough sketch for the background essences and lore of the franchise, such as Vader being in charge of an Imperial Inquisition with a favored apprentice, a dark reflection of one he'd held before...
Though I think I'm not going to allow Dave to create Ahsoka or Galen... That belongs to the other Dave and Lucasarts.

Yay! Superman superiority! (Not really, Empire still fills the box office better, but Merry likes the man of hope and goodness better, so it's superiority in my eyes :p)

So honestly, I'm thinking about making an omake that talks about the idea of Crisis on Infinite Earths and Post-Crisis (as in DC wants to use the movies as an inspirational framework).

This leads me to something I hope we can avoid: Bat-god aka "Prep time" argument. I really wish that Bruce directs the JLA movie to have Batman be useful to the team with his detective skills, being the best tactician and using gadgets to help the team.

My idea of "prep-time Batman" is a Batman who with enough prep time can help qeual the playing field between either himself and a more powerful opponent or with the JLA and an opponent who needs all of them to take him down (like Darkseid).

This is coming up because I hate how things rolled to such a bad extent with prep time to the point that "Batman stomps the multiverse" kinda shit that the Batman who Laughs does all the time. :sour:

On another note, are all the posts above talking about how to do the Legends stories or something?

If you're talking about the OT, Filoni is seven right now, so no.

If you mean the prequels, though, we could if we make the prequels in the 90s or later.
Looks like...huh, I didn't realize he worked on King of the Hill, Kim Possible or Avatar Last Airbender.

But '97 is when his resume starts as a storyboard artist, so he'd be about 23.
