Success and Some Failures: Turn 74 Results (February-March 1980)
-[X]The Clear and Present Danger: You wanted to make a cool ass monster. DC: 40 Rolled:
D100 + 25 => 97
You looked at the monster that was there and looked to Dennis Murin, the guy who was going to make it all happen. "Dennis. That is awesome!"
He smiled. "Good, because I'm not doing that again."
Reward: Film quality increased by +50. All SP increased by 50 for everyone.
You made the scariest monster ever. Well ILM did. But holy hell was it cool.

-[X]The Family: You want to see the actors that would be your victims of the monster. And by God, it would be fun. DC: 30 Rolled:
D100 + 25 => 98
To be honest, you didn't really expect much, Sean Astin was clearly a bit young, and was naive, but was clearly happy. But he understood that he was in a horror movie and didn't care. He was just happy to be on set.
And it was great to see Loretta again after so long. She was happy that many things were going well for you, and was extremely happy to finally see you again. This time she left a phone number on the script just so that you could call her again.
As for Christopher Malcolm… you think his professionalism made things easier to bear… and it allowed him to be unflappable, just like you needed.
Reward: The Family get a +20 to SP and Chemistry.
-------------------------------
-[X]The Other Biker: Sean Young… You never heard of her till a few weeks ago, but you like what you see. Rolled:
D100 + 25 => 125
She was dynamite. That was all you could say when directing her. She was inexperienced and young and eager. She had told you about some of the time working with Harrison Ford, and how that was not the best experience for her. She was not entirely through it all.
She thought you would not help her become better. And honestly, you thought about it.
But instead, you decided to treat her like what she was, an inexperienced actress who was looking to play off you, and needed confidence. That was… well to say that it was fantastic was an understatement.
Carrie laughed when she saw you act with her, saying "Dose every woman you against have to have so much chemistry as we do?"
Because while you didn't mean to… well the pixie dust was in the air, and the script was as air tight as Carrie wrote it. And it was perfect.
Reward: Your chemistry with Sean Young was incredible. +50 to Chemistry Rolls for everyone between Sean and You. +50 to both Bruce and Sean's SP.
---------------------------------------------------------------
-[X]Good Friends: Desi and Tom were honestly not who you expected to cast. But hey, you saw the chemistry for Marathon Madness from Desi, and you were honestly excited. Rolled:
D100 + 25 => 71
It was honestly incredible to see how the two of them worked together. It was funny, it was terrifying, and with your direction, it was great.
You loved every second of it when those two were on screen and in front of the camera. It was like they added a level of comedy that was needed, before the terror.
Reward: +20 to SP and Chemistry rolls. They may have done something fun, by also adding much-needed comedy into the movie, through just their body language.
------------------------------------------------------
-[X]The Owners: George Kennedy and Diana Muldaur were honestly a little worried to be in a movie with you. Mostly because they heard the rumors. Rolled:
D100 + 25 => 81
You just couldn't resist the nice wholesome couple. You just couldn't even with the script. It was adorable.
And George and Diana loved being able to scare the shit out of anyone when they decided to stop smiling. Because the monster was sometimes under their control.
Reward: +20 to SP and chemistry rolls for George and Diana.

-[X]Dad: So Dad is back in the saddle for a Bruce O'Brian Picture. He's… not nearly as excited as last time. Like he was tired. DC: 10 Rolled:
D100 + 25 => 121
"You alright dad?" You asked as you looked at Dad as he sat down during a break.
"You know I was wondering what might happen to me if I succeeded… and now I realize that I prefer the restaurant to this crap." He said. "I just don't like being away from your mother and the Whale so much."
You frowned. "But you still love it. Otherwise, you wouldn't have come?"
"True, but I did it because you were the one asking. Clint asked, and I almost said no."
You smiled. "But you still came."
Dad laughed. "Still I came."
"So why is it that you are so tired?" You asked.
He took a breath. "Universal's been calling me. They want to put me into some movie that they are making, tailor-made for me. Wanna turn me into an A-Lister."
"And what? Why didn't you accept?" You asked.
"Because Sid insulted my daughter-in-law." He said. "And I won't ever betray you like that. Even for my own dream."
You smiled. "Thank you."
"Don't mention it." He replied. "Now come on, we got a scene."
Reward: Dad told you what was wrong, but you just told him that it would be alright… +40 to SP +20 to Chemistry.
You might have helped your dad regain his love for acting again… and you have an idea for a role.
John needed an actor to play an officer in his sequel.
