Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

@Magoose, Wes Craven is not on the list, and I'm sure we hired him to work for us.

Now, I think we should try for The Kung Fu Kid this time around, and perhaps The Playground as well. Aside from that, I'll need to think a bit more.
Didn't we get our hands on a young untested filmmaker named Wes Craven? Why isn't he on the list?
Not untested. Wes Craven was considered one of the best Horror filmmakers at this time.

There should be a joke somewhere where everytime I make a mistake, its actually the guys coming in late, and apoligizing for not showing up on time :V

In the political sphere, UA is frequently cited as an example of the growing dangers of the "Japanese Invasion" of culture and business leading to the common agreement that Japan is becoming an economic superpower and may someday own the American economy.
Ah yes, one of the worse brain worms of the mid/late 20th century USA. Hmmm should we innovate like the Japanese have and improve upon what we have let stagnant to match and beat the Japanese? Nah, just threaten to destroy their economy and browbeat them into being subservient so our Corporations don't have to potentially lose their status and privilege's (and bad business practices). *looking at you, car industry*

Alright then. I figure that if we let Francis do a movie this time around then we would have around 6 slots for movies, which is just the right amount of Directors we have at the moment if Burce is included, and he does not produce anything. With that sai, I think we could go for this:

Sunrise Studios: Astro Boy: Pluto

In my reward, Osamu Tezuka went to Sunrise for an adaptation for a show. Now, i figure we could have the support, and blessing, of the Godfather of manga for this one, and create one of the best adaptations of the Astro Boy Manga ever (Pluto is really, really, good. I recommend it to anyone who has yet to read it).

Dreamworks: The Great mouse Detective, War for the Crystal.

Now, I don't know how good the CGI is yet with our technology, but I figure we can do these movies and not lose anyhting in quality when it comes to the animation, perhaps even make them better with a larger budget. War for the Crystal could be one of those hits that will create a franchise, so I think it's better w begin it now rather than later.

Six Live-Action Movies: Martin Scorsese (Solomon Kane and The Shadows of Africa), Francis Ford Coppola (Devil's Hour: Dead Man's Gold), Bruce O'Brian (The Kung Fu Kid), Wes Craven (Moonlight Diner), Paul Schrader (Stormchasers), Brian De Palma (Undercover).

Alright, for my reasoning;

Scorsese: it's been a while since Martin went in for the man who kicks ass for God, so i figure this is what can bring him once more into a project he loves, and that the people are excited for.

Coppola: Francis has mentioned he wants to do this film, so since it's still one year from Dune, i think we should let him do what he wants as we should not leave him in the lurch.

O'Brian: We've been postponing this film for nearly half a decade now, and we finally found our main protagonist, I say we begin now, and go for the second movie later on.

Craven: If there's going to be a start for Lucasfilms Horor, then ti should be the very first Horror script that was finished. Something we can go with sure of victory.

Schrader: Stromchasers just sounds like an amazing movie, one that is full of challenges and just brings to mind The Goonies (just as the author intended), so we should get ahead of the game.

De Palma: Real Life Lois Lane, I don't think I need to argue for more, but De Palma is more comfortable with the movie that has some backstory or source behind it.

So, what do you think?

In the classic story of Sherlock he has a cocaine addiction. It was supposed to be a joke sinds they went all out on a Classical tale 2 and made raknarok realistic.
Ah okay. I was aware of that already, which is why I asked about you saying it in reference to the Sherlock line, but I couldn't be sure it wasn't something that was actually present in the OTL film.

no.

We don't have enough... stuff to really do it.
Not yet :evil2:

🤨I don't know what Six Flags is like where you're from, but around me, they don't really have anything that could be turned into IP in the same way that Disney does with their attractions.
Look we're nowhere near the scale or size to make LucasFilm land a la Disney but if people really wanted a theme park we could do it this way and 6 flags was a hypothetical we could buy other one if it's impossible for you and third you really can't think of a single use of the Star Wars/Gundam IP in a roller coaster theme park?
