TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands.
To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.
I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.
I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.
I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all.
Ah, okay. I didn't recognize it shortened like that. I was wracking my brain trying to think of what the acronym could mean, but that makes sense in hindsight.

So far, most of the characters I'm using are practically royalty free or original creations.
Jack Seward is from Dracula, which is public domain by this point, and everyone else in the pitch is an original character.
This next pitch will have characters like Geppetto, Red Riding Hood, the Huntsman, and Puss in Boots(though a minor role, sadly), but they're all fairy tale characters and thus public domain.
Now, the other future pitches on the other hand... we'll have to see about them.
Alright then. Disney basically threw the gauntlet, so why not answer in kind with our own interpretation of their famous movies from Walt's time. Truth be told, I did like this movie, not enough to make me a ravenous fan (and the less it's said of its godawful sequel the better!) but enough that I appreciated the different reinterpretations of fairy tales a bit more. I did dislike a bit how they made Snow White a warrior despite her being trapped and incarcerated for nearly her entire life, but the implication that the Huntsman may have taught her something is what kept me still invested.
The less said about how a kiss from both him and the prince was needed to wake her up, with the former mentioning how she reminded him of his wife, the better. Dear God, he should be twice her age in the film, just what the fuck!?
So, that's something I hope we can change in the product, along with some scenes that can properly display how Snow White and the Prince can still fall in love, as well as how she can learn from both of them what she needs to do, rather than just having the skills form the beginning without learning anything.
Thus, I give you.
Movie Pitch: Snow White and the Huntsman
GENRE: Adventure/Action/Drama
SUBGENRE: Dark Fantasy
FORMAT: Movie
Set Up: Based on the German fairy tale "Snow White" compiled by the Brothers Grimm. The film re-imagines the original story; Snow White grows up imprisoned by her evil stepmother, Queen Ravenna, a powerful sorceress, who keeps her eternal youth by draining it from other young girls. After Snow White escapes into the forest, Ravenna enlists Eric the Huntsman to capture her, but he becomes her companion in a quest to overthrow Ravenna.
Director: William Friedkin Composer: Tangerine Dream
- Snow White's skills for survival are learned on her trip with the Huntsman, who makes sure she at least learns how to defend herself, but not to fight like he does.
- Emphasize that the relationship between Snow White and the Huntsman is one between surrogate father and surrogate child, with The Huntsman coming to see her as the daughter he never had. Also, add some more scenes with Snow White and William that develops their bond and their True Love.
- Though Snow White does lead them against the Queen, she does not wear a full suit of armor, just enough to protect her. She fights more using skill and guile, which were taught to her by the Huntsman.
Snow White: She is the princess (later queen) of Tabor. She is considered to be the "Fairest of Them All." She is the only child of King Magnus and Queen Eleanor, and the stepdaughter and arch nemesis of Queen Ravenna who seeks to kill her to consume her pure heart and maintain her power. Snow White is a deeply compassionate and pure-hearted young woman. She holds respect for all life and is kind to almost everyone she meets.
Played By: Demi Moore Alternate: Courteney Cox
Eric the Huntsman: He is a former Huntsman, as well as an ally to Princess Snow White. Though originally ordered by Queen Ravenna to find and kill Snow White, he later defies the Queen's orders and protects the princess instead. Eric is, at heart, a good man, who desires to protect others and fight evil even at the risk of his own life. However, past traumas have caused Eric to become rather hard and cynical over the years, to the point where he can appear uncaring and bitter.
Played By: Liam Neeson Alternate: Gabriel Byrne
William: He is the son of Duke Hammond, the friend of Snow White and eventually her husband. William is fearless and loyal, with a kind and noble heart. William is often at odds with his father over their approach to Ravenna, with William preferring to make a stand and fight back, seeming to view running and hiding from Ravenna as cowardice. He can be seen as rash and rebellious because of this, often defying his father's orders to remain in the castle and leading raids on Ravenna's supply wagons.
Played By: Johnny Depp Alternate: Cary Elwes
Finn: He is the brother of Queen Ravenna, and helped in her quest to seize kingdoms. Finn is a sadistic and cold man, who has no qualms about killing when he is capable of doing so. He both feared and adored his sister, but for unknown reasons, he did not have her powers of magic and only her abilities of immortality. He is a misogynist and was noted to have killed, raped, and bullied several women in his life. Finn is also fierce-tempered and is afraid of death, shown in his last moments when he begs for his sister to heal him.
Played By: Jeffrey Combs Alternate: Dolph Lundgren
Queen Ravenna: She is the cruel ruler of the kingdom of Tabor as well as a dangerously powerful sorceress. Because of her extreme beauty, Ravenna was regarded as being the "Fairest of Them All". However, when she learned that, since coming of age, Snow White had now surpassed her as the "fairest", Ravenna becomes determined to kill her stepdaughter and consume her heart, which would not only grant her eternal youth and evergreen beauty, but would also maintain her powers forever.
Played By: Sigourney Weaver Alternate: Jessica Lange
Duke Hammond: He is a nobleman of Tabor and the father of William, who leads a rebellion against Ravenna after she usurps the throne. He is a brave and noble man who dearly loves his son William. Hammond was cautious and compassionate, deeply concerned for his men's lives and well-being, but his hesitation and cynicism were detrimental to his goals of liberating Tabor. Fortunately, Snow White was able to restore Hammond's hope of defeating Ravenna and he valiantly led his men into battle against the evil queen.
Played By: Daniel Day-Lewis Alternate: Kurt Russell
Beith: He is the embittered leader of the eight dwarves. He is an old acquaintance of the Huntsman's and knows how tricky Eric can be. His right-hand man is Nion.
Played By: Bob Hoskins
Muir: He is one of the eight dwarves, and mute. Muir can see the truth. When Snow White told the dwarves that she was the daughter of King Magnus, he knew she spoke the truth.
Played By: Nicky Henson
Gort: He is one of the eight dwarves. He is ill tempered and a drunk, finding it easy to enter into any kind of quarrels.
Played By: Ray Winstone
Nion: He is one of the eight dwarves, and Beith's right-hand man.
Played By: Ian McShane
Coll: He is one of the eight dwarves. He is the strongest of the dwarves, and a soldier too.
Played By: Phil Collins
Duir: He is one of the eight dwarves. He tends to follow Coll around and serve as his shadow.
Played By: John Rhys-Davies
Quert: He is one of the eight dwarves. Quert is the Son of Muir and he plays the guitar every day.
Played By: Rip Thorn
Gus: He is one of the eight dwarves. He is the youngest, and develops a bond with Snow White. He dies protecting her.
Played By: David Carradine
A.N.: I'm thinking on adding some other re-imaginings of the classic Disney films, though I don't think that there are any good ones for Bambi or Pinocchio (save for the recent one done by Guillermo Del Toro, and that one deserves to be made by him and him alone). Besides, this can go very well with our other dark fantasy fairy tales that we've done so far like Hansel and Gretel and the one about Red Riding Hood.

I'm not one to turn down rewards, but I didn't actually do a pitch yet. That's just the prologue to the pitch. I still have so many words to do before then.

Honestly the fact that the new Snow White doesn't look like a straight up live action remake with 90% of the story the same as the animated version is what makes me wanna' watch it. The only good live action remake from Disney in my opinion was Jungle Book.
And not just because of the Christopher Walken Gigantopithecus.
