TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands.
To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.
I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.
I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.
I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all.
Well, I had to do this. Ever since Casper, when I then decided to see the rest of the movies that came after, I knew that I would at some point have to tackle the idea of making a movie about Wendy the Little Good Witch. She and him are basically friends (well, the ones that don't die) and I will not count the movie version where they had Hillary Duff play her be the only time she makes an appearance. I think Wendy can do quite well with a movie of her own, one that displays her traits, while also making sure that she is re-introduced to the world and be loved for who she is.
I've chosen Tim Burton as the Director, mainly because his talents at taking established materials and managing to make hem his own when it comes to adaptations (I.E. Batman, Willy Wonka, Dumbo, etc.). Now, some might see this as a criticism or something to avoid (which...it kind of is), but I think that considering the source material to be a bit stagnant and lacking in character development, that we can cut him a bit of slack this time around. Besides, the man came up with Beetlejuice, you have to be curious what he can come up with using a character that involves a good witch.
So, I give you:
Movie Pitch: Wendy The Witch
GENRE: Dark Comedy/Fantasy/Family SUBGENRE: Horror/Drama
FORMAT: Movie
Set Up: Loosely based on the Harvey Comics characters Wendy the Little Good Witch. The story reinvents Wendy as a more independent, intelligent and resolute character. The film features Wendy, a young witch, as her life is turned on its head when she finds a way out of "Witch Town" to finally explore the human world and befriend more than just witches and magical creatures. Meanwhile, her father, Professor Phineas, is looking to use her to gain notoriety and recognition by proving magic is real.
Director: Tim Burton Composer: Danny Elfman
Wendy the Witch: A young witch who possesses access to a force known as magic, which can be used for a wide of purposes, including matter transmutation, control of the elements of nature, energy projection, among many others. Though not keen on using her powers at first, eventually she comes to understand the importance of using them, but would step in if she sees others abusing their powers on humans.
Played By: Christina Applegate Alternate: Diane Lane
Hayden Stewart: A regular human boy who meets and befriends Wendy when she manages to cross the veil from her dimension to the Human world. He's rebellious, a bit of a smart ass, but a loyal friend, supporting her through it all, and giving her aid when her own father betrays her to kidnap her aunts, helping her save them and return to their own dimension.
Played By: Johnny Depp Alternate: Tom Cruise
Professor Phineas: A scientist and Wendy's biological father. A man obsessed with proving the existence of magic and be recognized by everyone around him. His obsession led to Wendy being transported to the Witch Town dimension, yet he did not care what happened to his daughter. He's on the look for the "Mystic Key" which will open the gates to Witch Town and prove his theories once and for all.
Played By: Rick Moranis Alternate: Tim Curry
Eloise Essex: A university student who is working for Professor Phineas as an assistant. Though she is as fascinated by the subject as Phineas, she is nonetheless sacrificed to open the gate between dimensions as Phineas was both jealous of her knowledge, and unwilling to share the credit with anybody else.
Played By: Helena Bonham Carter Alternate: Daryl Hannah
Thelma, Velma and Zelma: Wendy's adopted aunts who live in a cottage in the forest near Witch Town. The sisters tried to raise Wendy to practice black magic, but she consistently called on good spirits for white magic, which caused them no end to frustration. Despite that, and Wendy's determination to use her magic powers to do good only, they do care for her, and want her to be safe from her father.
Thelma
Played By: Meg Ryan Alternate: Daphne Zuniga
Velma
Played By: Geena Davis Alternate: Kelly LeBrock
Zelma Played By: Catherine O'Hara Alternate: Connie Sellecca
Desmond Spellman: Guardian of Witch Twon and protector of the veil between the human world and the Magic World. Spellman is a man of compassion who does not look down on Wendy for her desire to visit the human world. A powerful wizard in his own right, he's unable to stop Professor Phineas from kidnapping Wendy's aunts.
Played By: Christopher Lambert Alternate: Christopher Walken
Hilda Staff: A young witch and rival to Wendy. Hilda takes on the role and qualities on what being a witch means; scaring humans away from magic, using black magic, etc. She dislikes Wendy on principal, yet also because despite it all she's still so much more powerful than any other witch, including herself. Hilda wants to show up Wendy, and will do anything she can to do so.
Played By: Mia Sara Alternate: Winona Ryder
Krog, Truk and Grig: Ogres under the command of Desmond Spellman who help protect Witch Town. They're not very bright.
Played By: Mel Blanc
A.N.: Well, here it is; my pitch for Wendy the Witch, as I said I would when I did the Casper one. Now, this is a movie I think we can do around 1987, and I've selected the actors who could do the best job around that time. You know, making a movie about Wendy is actually somewhat hard and easy at the same time; the latter because there's not that much characterization from the Original Source, so you can make reasonable changes. The former because that lack of characterization hinders you somewhat as there's very little supporting you. I'm still debating about whether I should make another pitch about Hot Stuff the Little Devil, but we'll see.
Batman in one comic literally programmed his brain to have a backup personality of him if he was ever brain-controlled. His "Normal Human" schtick is discarded whenever the writers want it to
[X] Plan Mythology Buff
-[X] Yes
-[X] The Conditions are as follow:
--[X] Be listed as Producer for, at minimum, three completed projects.
--[X] Lucasfilms Unlimited gains exclusivity rights to DC film and tv projects for eight years, the contract to be renegotiated at such a time.
--[X] Have Wonder Woman read a file where it's teased that Bruce Wayne be decended from Ares' demigod son Thrax, as a mythology gag to Bruce O'Brian's playing the Greek God of War.

It's still human ingenuity, skill and knowledge that allows it to happen. It just makes it incredibly imporbable, but Batman has always shown the pinnacle of what human ability can reach in a way.
Anyways, I think I'll vote for Kaiser Chris' plan when it's marked. In the meantime, should we perhaps add something else to it? I feel that it is good enough for now.
Considering that it's meant to be a Easter Egg and a gag (kinda like Noob Saibot in his first appearance) with no actual bearing on the story, not to mention the fact that if taken seriously that's still a hundred and fifty generations (for context, it's been 186 since the First Pyramid, and 480 since 10,000 BC), and any actual talent or power has long since been supplanted by mortal blood (6-8 generations back show up as less than 15% relation on DNA Tests).

Ever seen his (canonical, DC approved) workout plan? Shit's absolutely inhuman, borderline meta, something that David Goggins can only dream of, and should leave him absolutely zero time for patrol or research.
I'm only afraid that if we comit to a DCU where we are the director, is that we don't have time to make movies for LucasFilm. Like I know everyone here is a comics fan or something but I would rather we spend our time develping our IP's instead of a competitor. We could perhaps steal their idea and make a univers with Marvel or something.

Well, we wouldonly be Director for Batman, and make some suggestions as to where the story should go. Whether they listen or not is out of our hands, as we will be busy with Lucasfilms and our own projects as well.

I'm confused, how much power does bruce have? If it's only a little and only advisery then fine, but Director implies we have much more power and investment into the DCU. Look if everyone wants to support our competitors and help the DCU then at least make a deal where the profits are split between Columbia and LucasFilm.
[X] Plan Into the O'Brianverse
-[X] We are given Producer credit for every Batman movie.
-[X] Reasonable creative control on scripts of movies that cast Bruce O'Brian as a main character.
-[X] No demands or last minute edits from on high on age rating.
-[X] We are the Director for all Batman movies
-[X] Ability to shoot locally for Batman films
-[X] Agree to appear in non-Batman films and shows for fee of $100,000. For Justice League, desire 1.5% of box office gross for films titled as Justice League, willing to waive standard fee for Justice League in exchange for box office.
-[X] 2% of box office gross and 4% of all merchandise sales related to Batman films.
-[X] Contract ILM to work on the SFX and VFX for DC films and shows at a negotiated price which will cover 1980-1990.
Okay so this is my plan for the DCU. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to pitch them in. I feel this is a very reasonable request from Bruce that mostly continues the current agreement while granting some big rewards.
Could we maybe ask for a joint venture with LucasFilm where we pay a % of the budget in return for a couple % profit and help with SFX and VFX. Or is that too much?

If we do make the DCU, I just wonder how far the story would go and the big climax like those phases.
At some point (And looking at the current MCU), we kind of need a definitive end or pause. If only to gather some time to pan out the ideas.
Realistically, it would probably end at the Justice League film. I don't see a cinematic universe extending much past that before it's even the 90s. Besides, we wouldn't want to divert so much constant attention to it. It would eat up too much of our time to do our own business stuff and other roles and films.
True. Let's face facts, DC is not made for long term storytelling like Marvel is. not to say that they can't do good arc, but in the end they're more suited for a single arc and that's it. Marvel's Infinity Saga is perfectly suited for different phases and then beyond...if Disney and Feige hadn's fucked up the entire thing with their obsession with politics and pandering to a nonexistent part of the fanbase!!!
...Point is, I'm seeing this as a single arc with a Justice League movie capping it all, then that's it.
Moving topics, I really want to do a Charity action this upcoming turn, perhaps involving the conservation of animals that are about to become extinct. Case in point, the Kaua'i ō'ō bird.

The Logical End Phase is either dealing with Darkseid and Apokolips, or if we delve into the truly esoteric lore of the DC Universe we have to survive the Crisis on Infinite Earths [which itself has ...interesting implications due to lore that STILL is true in DC canon...].
Not even getting into the fact that it is acknowledged that there are infinity stones in the DC Universe but that Darkseid outright rejects them as he considers them weak. Which to be fair, he is correct. In-universe they have something even better than an Infinity Gauntlet studded with the Infinity Gems. It's name is the Miracle Machine. It works on/in every dimension simultaneously and allows for complete erasure and reorigination of all reality, including all of the Endless bar Death herself.
The Miracle Machine entered recorded history in 2960, when it was given to the Legion of Super-Heroes in thanks for their stopping a rogue Controller. An advancement of the willpower technology created by the [[Guardians of the Univer The Miracle Machine was a machine that could transform...

As well as even THIS he considers crude as apparently it is a discount knockoff of what a Motherbox is capable of.
All that assuming that the final boss isn't Mr. Manhattan himself [he is the one who is constantly resetting/changing things in the DC universe every few years for his own amusement and to do as he pleases with his power. He outright eclipses even Darkseid in power and can just reset/make/originate everything at will.]. He even makes appearances in the canon just to fuck around with the Heros to laugh at them.
