TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands.
To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.
I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.
I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.
I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all.
As for Toho...well, they've been pretty quiet. This is a movie they knew was bad, and yet not only made profit, but more than their movies combined had expected. Producers and executives that had been mentioning a chance for greater profits and greener pastures are suddenly not present when interacting with you or Mike. You'd usually call this a win, but you now know very well how studios operate, no matter their nationality. Toho may be willing to continue working with you, but in the end it's nothing more than business.
Godzilla and Lone Wolf and Cub are now getting overshadowed by a low budget movie they had no faith would make money. Maybe now that will shut them up.
... We don't talk about the Live Action Mulan Movie. We don't. it makes me sad that you brought it up.
Here are the rewards, however:
[]The Fanboy that Bruce is... happy with something. (Hong Kong cinima is seeing a rise in popularity again in the states)
[]Meanwhile, with Brandon Lee (Brandon Lee has looked at many of the things that has happened, and went to his mom. "I wanna be an actor like dad.")
[]Randomness takes hold of Disney (Unknown Effect)
Since DreamWorks is now filled with a Japanese staff and we gained rights for Gundam, we can be the ones who introduce anime to the US, not 4Kids. We can also create our own anime and maybe in the 90s we can make an arrangement with GameFreak and Nintendo a deal similar to what we have with Sunrise: Have our own Pokèmon anime series with a different continuity which is completely separated from Satoshi's adventures.
First Episode: The story begins with an introduction to the World of Pokemon, introduced by Professor Cherrysyle – who also introduces to her audience that she studies the connection between not just trainers, but Pokémon and Humans in general. After the explanation, it is found by the viewers that she is talking to the Press before it closes as the time reaches night.
The next day, the viewers are introduced to a boy – named "Akashi Shuzoku" – waking up in his house in a somewhat well-off fashion. He comments on a faded dream about a weird Pokémon that the last thing he can describe with "Rainbow-like Wings" before looking at the clock that made him flinch at the fact that he was late..
He arrives to the stairs below to eat some breakfast before his friend – Jeiku Chikyū – arrives to remind him that it is the day to become a new Pokémon Trainer, which alarms Akashi..however Jeiku tells him that his parents are waiting him at the nearby archeology site just a bit from town and that they couldn't come or risk anything going wrong that could destabilize the mountain the town is near to.
Understanding, Jeiku rushes to the lab while Akashi goes to the site, where both of his parents – archeologists – greets him and joins in with the excitement of becoming a new Pokémon trainer.
Some time later, he joins Jeiku into Professor Cherrysyle's lab..they arrive at three Pokéballs in front of them..Professor Cherrysyle tells them to pick.
After an information moment, Akashi chooses a Pokémon, with Jeiku choosing an Eevee. The duo goes on a Pokémon fight against each other..This introduces Pokémon Battles to the viewers in how they are fought, tactics/type-advantages basics, etc. (Should not feel forced.)
After a battle (depending on Questers which one wins) before they split off, The Archeological Parents managed to go to Akashi on time as they ran there during Break Time. They decide to give him a [Artifact depends on Questers] they explained they found many years ago during their own journey, and decide that it should be his turn to be entrusted with it.
Happy, the trio says their last goodbyes for a while before he goes out to Route 1..
Route 1 Theme: https://youtu.be/Y1WtDXdExdU (If cutting Episode 1 into two parts, this is the ending of Episode 1 with this outro.)
Akashi goes on to travel on the route to discover Pokémon, and introduces something the games did not..actually train Pokémon.
Akashi, during a battle, has its Pokémon test its newly learned move (however is quite inexperienced with it) and becomes hurt. Knowing his mother can heal the Pokémon better than he can, he goes back home..to discover that his parents became missing..kidnapped by Team Eclipse.
(Episode Ends with this Mic Drop)
Outro-music: https://youtu.be/OyZChQxxcXU (Can Change, Depends on the Questers)
It was during the speech that it is revealed to the viewers of a Pokémon Region called: "Erobha"..that practically looks like Europe from afar. | New Pokémon will be based on European myths/legends/creatures/animals..Kalos (France) and Galar (Great Britain) Pokémon can appear more frequently, while other region's Pokémons (Alola's not appearing unless given in-character/reasonable reason) would be rare, but can appear sometimes.
Pokémon: Brick Bronze can be used as inspiration for the region's terrain and the Anime's storyline (The Ending portion is not advised by RealOtto).
Pokémon: Horizon's tactic of basically using "filler" episodes of setting up the "next episode" with character progression for every episode (no matter how small) is a policy for this anime.
Reasonable progression is a must, backstories shall not be rushed in their execution and their timing.
Do not rush the plot, Change can also occur, focus on making a quality product without abandoning the viewers.
As already mentioned, changes can occur by the Questers.
Conan the Barbarian Production 1: Budget Allocation
You and Steve were looking at many many things before you looked at the budget. "And we couldn't deal with the last of this without my input why?"
Steve just shrugged. "Lot of things happened, I got distracted."
"If you want to talk about the whole thing with Sid, we can totally-"
"No. We're going to be doing other things."
How do you place out the Budget?:
You have 40 Million Dollars in the Budget.
There are
What you need to account for:
Actor Fee (The SAG minimum for the actors at this time is 10,000 dollars per month of shooting, per actor. There are 12 Actors besides yourself that need to be paid for this month of shooting, so the minimum you must pay is 60000 Dollars, to be in accordance with the Screen Actors Guilds guidelines. You cannot pay less as everyone here is part of the union..)
Director Fee: (Steve has been adamant about getting a percentage of the gross of at least 3% in addition to a flat fee of 200,000)
Prop Fees (The Prop Team is scrambling to make something after they screwed up and need 500,000 to replace everything and get them back by the time)
Makeup (Considering the massive prosthetics that are going to be used, they need one million dollars)
Stunt Fees (Thank god you and Jackie Chan are such experience stunt people, with friends in the stunt world. But Bob Anderson said he needed 100,000 dollars for working overseas because he's got to pay for other expenses and make sure that he can pay off an unknown expense)
Music (Linetail who do you want to have be the composer, as well as how much you want to pay them)
Post-Production Budget (500,000 dollars for a team of editors)
Other Expenses (This is for everything else. From Hotel and lodging expenses, and other potential emergency expenses, as well as other things, as you have no idea what they are doing.)
Alright then, first things first: Basil Poledouris as Composer, from half a million to one million is fine, or is it too much?
I think we can wave away our actor fee as we're the Producer for this one and we will be getting our cut from the movie, and we can agree to Steven's terms. Aside from that, I have nothing.
Edit: Unless the more famous actors say anything (which I'm not sure if they will) then we should pay them all 600,000 as suggested.
Wait a minute, is Nicholas Coppola in the Union already?! How?! Don't they have like an age limit for that?
Alright, I've tried to do the math here, and this is what I've come up with:
Budget: 40,000,000
Now, as what Magoose says we have 12 actors besides ourselves. Now, going with the premise that we don't pay ourselves and we give the amount of 100,000 per actor:
Actors: $1,200,000
Steve has already told us what he wants:
Director: $200,000 and 3% Gross
For the Props, they need 500,000 to replace something they screwed up. I'm willing to add another half a million just in case things break down again because of course they may.
Prop Fees: $1,000,000
Makeup apparently also makes sure Prosthetics are ready, we could with a bit higher than 1 million:
Makeup: $1,500,000
Stunt men and making sure it's a quality kind of stunntman that actually knows what they're doing, not to mention safely as well:
Stunt Fees: $500,000
For music and composer, Basil Poledouris is the one I think we can all agree can make the sound of Conan come to life. He's also a B Rank composer at the moment, so I think we can get him a bit cheaper than most. I'm thinking 200,000 sound alright.
Music: Basil Poledouris, $200,000
Editing is an important part of the entire process. Now, I think we could use a bit more than 1 team, perhaps 3 would be enough.
Post-Production Budget: $1,500,000
For other expenses, I'm stumped. So, for now I'll give a nice flat number. 5 sounds good.
Other Expenses: $5,000,000
So, all together, that comes to $11,100,000 in total.
Now, I haven't put this in plan form since I want your opinions. Should we increse or decrease anything? Are we paying too little to some of the actors? Are overpaying for anything? Do we need more or less for Other Expenses? Please give me your thoughts.
I mean... we have about $23,000,000 more dollars available in the budget. I don't see a need to reduce the amount we're paying the actors when we can just pump more money into the costumes and other stuff.
Okay so we have a shit ton of money due to unfortunately going way over budget, but at the very least this meanas we are going to have a hell of a marketing blitz with Mike hyping this up as the greatest fantasy to ever come. Should be self explanatory, actors get 250k on average, everything else gets 2-4 times their stuff and Stunt gets 10 times because they earned it. Steve gets a little bonus because he deserves it and 200k for Basil but I am willing to pay more.

I'm willing to support this plan, but perhaps we could increase Poledouris Fee to 250,000 as well, like the actors?
For the other expenses, putting all 30,000,000 left is a bit too much in my opinion. Last time we did that we ended up wasting so much money. I just want to make sure that this money, if not used, will be sent back to the Warchest at Lucasfilms.

I changed it to give him 200k more. However, I assumed that everything else would be going to Extra Expenses because that's where the rest of the budget is supposed to go, I didn't realize we could pour some into the Warchest or keep it for ourselves.
@Magoose Are we supposed to pour the surplus into extra expenses or can we mandate some of it goes into the warchest or keep it like how Overmind wants?

Well, since we cannot get the money back to the Warchest... Could I convince you to increase the Makeup budget to 4-5 million and the music up to 1 million?
Mike is going to have more than enough to hype the hell out of Conan, and we can easily afford that money...
