Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

Does Dave have a last name?

I will need it for the update:
Alistair. David Alistair, Irish-Mexican by way of St. Patrick's Brigade. Has a sister in Tijuana that he hasn't heard from in six years.

Looks like this:
Here are the rewards:
[]Hi I'm Dave, Nice to Meet you!(Dave joins the Lucasfilms unlimited inner circle)
[]So what your saying is, it's good (One of your scripts automatically finishes development with a 70 rating)
[]Um… so about Star Wars (Script quality for Star Wars becomes an 80)
[X]Hi I'm Dave, Nice to Meet you!(Dave joins the Lucasfilms unlimited inner circle)

Yeah, Lady Snowblood is definitely something we should consider distributing later.

A few others I think are worth looking at would be:

An Actors Revenge (1963): About a kabuki actor, a onnagata, who hatches a murderous revenge plot against the men responsible for his parent's suicide.

Samurai Vendetta (1959): About two honorable samurai friends (one of whom becomes one of the 47 Ronin) who wind up on opposing sides of both a clan war and a love triangle.

A Legend, Or Was It? (1963): About a woman who's family moves from Tokyo to a rural village during wartime. She later receives a marriage proposal from the village head's son. She rejects him after learning that he is a vicious war criminal. For this, the village turns on her family but the head's son refuses to let her go.

Scattered Clouds (1967): A man is involved in a fatal car accident, and though he is blameless, his company transfers him to a remote branch in a small town. Before he leaves, he gives the man's widow a large sum of money that she uses to move back to her hometown. Coincidentally, the same town her husband's killer now resides in. A doomed romance begins.

Honestly that could unironically happen considering when Spaceballs was made OTL, George was heavily involved in oversight because Brooks didn't want to get sued, and while George was apprehensive in the beginning, especially with toy rights where he banned them from making toys and figures, he slowly grew to love it and reportedly when he watched a test screening, jokingly told Brooks that he needed to make it less funny because he was close to busting his gut laughing. ILM was already involved with the special effects, don't see why we can't go further and have Lucasfilms be the distributors.

Does this mean we get spaceballs 3: the search for spaceballs 2 in this world?

And Now Some Fun Times Turn Turn 33 (July 1974)
Hm… You really thought there would be something more from the whole… New Staff.

Dave was friendly… kind of. You really didn't get a good read on him because really, who the hell could? He seemed to be more likely to overwork himself than George.

And that was something special.

But there was one more thing that you were confident would be true.

Carrie was going to get things done this month and it will be because her film would release soon.

And you wanted to see the final progress.

Also, you would hope to not raise hell, but that was asking too much.

But you were happy that you recovered well enough to no longer have a problem with moving anymore. It was time to seize the day.

Reward: Actions restored.

(You have 8 Actions)

Okay so this is my plan which as I talked about earlier with the last turn, is focusing on Bruce seizing the day and doing some very important stuff in the aftermath of the shooting. Firstly, iron out the script to work out George's kinks and make Star Wars the best it can be. As stated multiple times, this is George's movie so keep the changes simple. Improve the dialogue that everyone criticizes, and set up Han's character growth and journey but nothing that dominates or puts Bruce above others. If anyone has any other suggestions then that's fine with me but we'll probably just do with one more at most. There's also importing Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla since we've established a relationship with Toho for a bonus and it'll make for a nice end of summer release. If people want me to switch that with ILM or contract negotiations that's fine.

Then it's Carrie time with Bruce supporting Carrie for her debut and finally moving forward with marriage prep since her birthday and earliest engagement is three months away and after the shooting he's probably more devoted to Carrie. For engagement rings I am largely clueless so I thought to go for something simple and classy with a decent expense, as I don't think Carrie will mind so long as Bruce would put in the effort. Put in $1000 price tag since with inflation that is around 5k modern day and that's upper crust engagement rings and anything more is a really big and gawdy diamond. If anyone has any other suggestions that's fine. Talk with Debbie to get permission most importantly, hopefully it all goes well on that end.

Continue developing Kung Fu Kid since we got those fat bonuses of an instant upgrade to 70 along with large bonuses to upgrade it even further, so no matter what we have that film ready by '75. Pray since we just got shot and Bruce is about to enter into the biggest part of his life with marriage so praying is good, and in the past prayer has offered great bonuses. Also call parents to help ease their minds after Bruce got shot and based off of Papa Goose's body language, he's probably going through a lot internally so having Bruce call will help.

--[X] The Mandalorian Gymnasium [$2.5 Million]: Open to the general public and offers an adult accreditation programs as well as an After School program for underprivileged children; to start, Mando's Gym consists of four core programs:
The Bruce Lee Memorial Martial Arts and Stunts Program, Conditioning and Exercise Athletics Program, Craftsman and Survivalist Accreditation Program, Firearm and Weapon Safety Accreditation Program.
---[X] Part I: The Bruce Lee Memorial Martial Arts and Stunts Program: (Action Cinematography)
The Bruce Lee Memorial Martial Arts and Stunts Program was created in honor of one of the greatest martial artists of all time. This program is designed to emulate the teachings and philosophies that Bruce Lee imparted through his own martial arts journey. Students will learn various styles of martial arts including Jeet Kune Do, Wing Chun, and Muay Thai, among others, to build a well-rounded foundation of techniques.

Beyond just the martial arts, students will also learn the importance of discipline, respect, and self-awareness. The program is much more than just learning how to fight. This is about developing a mindset and a lifestyle that can be applied to all areas of life.

The program is also strongly focused on stunt work, with instructors who have extensive experience in the movie industry. Students will learn how to perform various stunts and fight scenes safely and professionally, gaining insight into the world of stunt work and the importance of precision and attention to detail.

Finally, the program is intertwined with charity work, with proceeds from tuition and donations going towards various organizations that align with Bruce Lee's vision of spreading kindness and positivity. The Bruce Lee Memorial Martial Arts and Stunts Program is a combination of physical training, mental fortitude, and community service, providing a unique and fulfilling experience for all who participate.

Honestly, just want Bruce back on top of that horse, and the way I see it, it's by being there for the ones he loves, and showing the Industry that Ducks Goose Don't Back Down.

I would hace preferred ir we went for Lady Snowblood as the film since I think we still need to build more trust with Toho, but this is fine too.

I mean we do have to go for Toho's big stuff eventually and since it's July I thought it would be better to go for a blockbuster-ish film in Godzilla for general audiences rather than a niche Japanese film that most moviegoers wouldn't be interested in even if it was American made, since it was pointed out in the previous turn that Monkey Sun got a mixed reception for its lack of Western relatability. Worst Toho can do is say no and if we fail with Godzilla, I wouldn't mind going for their more artistic releases a couple more times and then going back to Godzilla.
