Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

Alright guys, I've made a plan that I think can work with what we want, so here it goes:

[X] Plan Return of the Dark Knight
-[X]Cult of the Preacher: This is one of those films that you have been waiting to see ever since the script crossed your desk. DC: 30
-[X]The Scripts and the movies: You want scripts made, so give the ideas and make those scripts (Scripts that linetail will be made this turn. Every script is one action.)
--[X] Work on: Creepshow II and We Happy Few
-[X]The Dark Knight: Alan has come to your home, and wants to make the final Batman film now.
--[X]Agree to make it
-[X]Training CArrie: If CArrie is serious, you are going to train her till she is able to do everything. It was her idea to do this… so you are just going to help her DC: 45
-[X]A New Way To Action: You and some second unit directors had some ideas… so you and the boys got ideas. How to film action to make it real, and stylized. DC: 50
-[X]Sega and the Masterclass of Advertizing: So Sega saw the comercial, and wants to do another one… though this time, they want you to show that is better than Nintendo in every other way. By… well being Walt Disney. Why does everyone want you to act like Walt! You're a Bruce Dammit! No you are doing it your way! DC: 35
-[X]The Art of the Siblings: So Mary has proclaimed it was a silly time. And that meant you had to grab your costume. DC: 0
-[X]The Family Time: You need a night out with the family dammit! No more drama, no more work, just you and Carrie and the Kids!
-[X]Investments: You want to invest your hard-earned cash into something that you feel will be a good return on investment. And as well as diversify your assets DC: 0 (Linetail what you wish to invest in below this action, and the amount of money you want to invest in)
--[X] Bewley's. $25 million. Invest in the coffee and tea company for an expansion into the United States. Also partner to have Bewley's feature Oatfield sweets in their cafes.
--[X] NTR plc. $120 Million. Support the company's mission in furthering Green Energy.
-[X]Networking: Well time to start finding out who might actually be interested in meeting you. (Write-in what you want to try and network with)
--[X]Neue Constantin Film. One of the studios in Germany founded right after the war, which has produced many interesting films so far, has just finished with the adaptation of 'The Never Ending Story', a novel full of imagination and fantasy. Speak with them and see if you can get the distribution rights.
--[X] Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. A pair of independent comics creators from New Hampshire who have just created some of the most creative and interesting characters so far; The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Though they are not willing to sell, perhaps speak with them to see if you can get distribution rights for Marvel.
-[X]Workout: A Healthy Mind and a Healthy Body are Key to having a good life, and you have been slacking as of late. Time to hit the workout and discipline, and perhaps, see things differently. DC: 30 Reward: You work out and feel better.

So, from the top, Cult of the Preacher, we really need to be there to support our by Sam. After the disaster that was his second film, he really needs his confidence shored up. Next, for the Pitches to turn into scripts, I've chosen three that should be done by now; Sin City, which I think fits perfectly with the decade and it could bring back some of the old noir type of films and inject them with new tropes to follow. The Kung Fu Kid II since the actors are not getting any younger. And We Happy Few since we really should get that doing now while it's still the 80s, and we have few Ardmore Scripts ready to follow.

I think we should agree to making The Dark Knight since it will be here in L.A. and we can have as much time with our family as we want, not to mention that with this we no longer have ny other commitments to the frnachise, save for cameos and the final Justice League movie (I really need to get back to work on that pitch). Furthermore, we would only be saying that we would start production, but filming does not start yet since we still need to get ready with many decisions beforehand, enought for us to get our touring on and help in training Carrie (and ourselves as well). The new ways for filming action would also synergize with these options.

Another Sega commercial is something we have been discussing in thread, so we might as well bite the bullet and get to work on it, also speinding time with the kids and family never gets old.

For Networking I've chosen two options; first, Neue Constantin Films, which at this moment should be finishing with The Never Ending Story, an amazing movie that unfortunately we will not be producing, but we coudl distribute, and with a greater profit we could perhaps convince them to greenlight the second part right away instead of waiting years and having to change actors.

Second, Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, the creators of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I don't think I need to explain this one, just mention how in OTL they did not sell but allowed for distribution rights, which si what I'm hoping we can get. Afterwards, we can get licensing rights for both toys, TV Shows, Movies, etc. We just need to prove first that we are faithfull partners.

Now, I'm open to suggestions and recommendations, and also would like to ask, should we put in some money for the distribution rights for both the movie and the comics?

--[X] Work on: Sin City, The Kung Fu Kid II and We Happy Few
-[X]Touring: You will be doing a Great tour with Carrie and the Highwaymen. Something close, in the LA Area. DC: ???

Pretty sure we have already written scripts for Kung Fu Kid II and We Happy Few and there's no need to work on Sin City considering we can make productions of any pitch due to the latest upgrade.

Also Touring would be unwise, even if just in LA because we're starting Batman's production and training Carrie along with the Sega stuff.

I would suggest replacing them with this.

Both are Irish companies and it would be nice to further support the Irish economy. For NTR, in spite of its rather poor name, they do seem to be a legitimately competent green energy company that has helped push production in Western Europe. And Bewley's seems to be an Irish Starbucks, and with Starbucks just getting off the ground, now is an excellent time to invest in coffee.

We don't have scripts for Kung Fu Kid II or We Happy Few on the list. And the latest upgrade allowed us to turn Pitches into scripts using the option that I've used... or at least I think that's how it works.

@Magoose , is that how the upgrade works? Also, is the Kung Fu Kid II a Script already?

That's a very good point. I'll remove it.

...NTR.

I know I shouldn't blame them, I mean despite the whole Japanese Invasion and culture, the temr has yet to gain infamy, but damn is it unfortunate!

Bewley's is a good investment. Alright, I'll add it, for the other I'll wait a bit for Magoose to answer and see if I need to make changes for the scripts options.

Do you have any suggestions as to whether we should add some money for the distribution rights in the Networking option?

I admit that I didn't see We Happy Few but we did create Kung Fu Kid Part II

-[X] Practice writing: You want to write something, maybe even a script. At least to learn the craft. DC: 20 (You try your hand at screenwriting, and maybe get something that is worth a damn.)
--[X] Write Kung Fu Kid Part II. Rolled:D100 => 52

Script Quality:D100 => 81

Carrie, bless her heart was a rigorous task master that was almost as great at writing as she is at caring for the kids, so when you stepped into her domain, she fixed everything and the mistakes that you made.

Reward: Kung Fu Kid is written, with a good quality. +2 to Writing skill.

Also I would rather we have Frank Miller write it since it's his thing and it'll be made in 7 years.

Thanks for letting me know. I can remove Kung Fu Kid II from the plan and add it to the Scripts list.

Well, I think Frnak Miller would still do it as a script since that's how it went for Batman when we made it into a film. Still, I think I can remove it, though we would still need to find another Pitch...

How about Creepshow II?

If I could make a suggestion, maybe replace it with a Networking action for Irvin Kershner. It's super weird to me that we haven't connected with the guy yet considering his connection to George and I think he'd be a decent catch as an additional director for the Lucasfilm roster.
He's currently the director for the Star Wars TV Movie.

[X] Plan Return of the Dark Knight
I like it especialy the investment, tough the name is indeed unfortunate.
If we invest into green maybe we could do the "Pyramids of waste" to hammer the nail down more strongly ?

Ruby-Spears made a cartoon based off of the Rubik's cube.
I was intrigued by this and decided to look it up and my God what the fuck is this?

View: https://imgur.com/a/CecCZNo

I decided to watch a couple episodes and it was really a brain dead kids animation series were Rubik the magical cube is this all powerfull genie that can fulfill any wish the kids have, can float and levitate objects at will if the cube is solved but Rubik can be scambled by the slightest rumble.

Also there was this very wierd episode where Rubik transforms the protagonist Carlos into a dog to save his own dog Sparky from being kidnapped but then Sparky falls in love with Carlos in dog form. The episode is called Rubik and The Pooch Nappers if you really want to watch it (don't).

Rubik....the Rubik Cube. Ruby-Spears made a cartoon based off of the Rubik's cube.
The fact that this is real pains my soul

Various Democratic primary candidates have said that once they are in the White House they'll reempower the FCC to be a stricter watch dog. Although perhaps it's not as popular as they may believe as Reubin Askew made an infamous gaffe in a townhall where he said, "We're gonna restore class to television. We'll cancel the toy garbage like GI Joe, He-Man, Rubik and all those superhero shows". Cue a flood of concerned kids across the nation who were panicking that someone wanted to be President and kill all the cartoons, leading to protests from parents, Askew in total freefall in the polls and the DNC telling their candidates to shut up about cartoons.
Ronnie: Ah how beautiful nothing like your rivals shoting themselves at the feet
Taking notes from Miraculous, Ruby and Spears made sure to have Goldie and Jack have a sort of Ladybug and Cat Noir type chemistry and for most viewers, it was enough to pull them in and have them fall in love with the pairing, helped by the Season 1 finale seeing them become a couple with them remaining one throughout the rest of the show, something Miraculous fans were happy to point out in letters venting why Adrien and Marinette haven't gotten together.
They aren't going to shut up until they are a couple are they
There was also a Justice Society of America show, starring the classic characters and essentially being a higher quality verison of Super Friends.
Cool! The JSA always can get more love, who are the members in the show?
Just what the hell was Voltron and Fist of the North Star and why was Sunrise warning you about them?
Oh shit! Who got those two?

All in all seems like animation is doing well, but I am sad DIC isn't doing well Inspector Gadget is one of my favorite series

The results of greed and lack of creativity mixing together my friend.

Be casreful to not look at it for long, lest your eyesight grow dim in an attempt to save your mind.

So... they are never oing to shut up then. :p
Do you want to put mark through the hell being the joker is?
True enough.

Besides, we have Robin Williams to give us the Joker we need and deserve.
