Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

I got a basic idea for a pitch. It's a take on the James Bond mythos where the codename fan theory is true. And where the original Bond has gone rogue. The original Bond would be a warts-and-all deconstruction of the character. A ruthless intelligent secret agent who's also an alcoholic misogynistic narcissist with a vindictive streak a mile wide. Though if we can't I could see Christopher doing very well as an evil Bond. That's what Scaramanga practically was in Man With The Golden Gun.

Another spy movie deconstruction idea I have is one where it's revealed that the "big bad" was actually framed by the government for uncovering a conspiracy and isn't actually evil.

And we could combine the two by having Past Bond be the mentor for the protagonist and the support for the mission to capture/kill the "Big Bad" before revealing that the villain isn't actually evil and that "Old Bond" is actually working for the conspiracy lead by the true Big Bad.

Though now thinking of it it'd probably work better as a TV show to give the twisty plot more room to breathe.

No offense to you intended, but I hear the words "deconstruction" and I immediately hate it.
You know another person whom Bruce hates.

Scott…
I genuinely can't think of any other Scott in Hollywood besides Scott Eastwood.

What other term could be used for a film that focuses on the more negative aspects of a character? Like the Connery Bond's less-than-pleasant interactions with women or Book Bond's entire character? I'd be willing to discuss this idea further with you. I'm good at thinking up idea and less good at writing fleshed-out pitches for films.

Ah, no. It's not that. I just hear "deconstruction" and I get hit with PTSD from other shit. It's like the term "modern audience." I hear it, and then I immediately know that I'm not gonna like it.

Putting aside your antipathy for film school buzzwords, what do you think about the ideas in the post?
I don't find the ideas very engaging? They aren't bad necessarily, but the ideas as they're presented don't really draw my interest. As they are right now, it's just "Evil Bond" or "Government Conspiracy," without much else to them. I'd recommend spending some more time workshopping the concepts into something with a little more meat on it's bones before making any decisions, one way or another.
