Alright, let's do this!

We can finally see our Mom and our Mom can see how we've changed. We will probably get the next strain of FSS and see how it improves, and finally get into the cavern and get inside to see what is there!

Let's keep on marching and see how far we can get!

@yrsillar, considering we are opening a lung meridian this week unless disastrously unlucky I have added FSS to the combat specs page, as we'll have enough meridian to equip it. I have also added the beginning of a Test section (only FVM dispel test in so far).

I'll probably have to edit FSS in a couple days when we get FSS2, but just in case there is a fight first.

Damn, now that you have FSS in writing, you can see just how ridiculous Frozen Soul Serenade is. For a starting tech, we throw more dice than almost all our maxed out bow techs(other than Falling Stars Shot, which only throws one more dice) for HC, all it's damage is both semi-perfect and fully AP(a VERY nasty combo which means only techs that block semi-perfect damage would mitigate), and its damage reverb means the second shot(and all subsequent shots) do double damage in effect. If an opponent has no semi-perfect mitigation, it means they lose, full stop, since they either run out of health real quickly, or burn through their Qi at a ridiculous rate mitigating damage. Sure our bows have more DV and might do better damage on average(thanks to techs that add straight +damage, guaranteeing that we'll be maxing our DV more often than not), but only but only LS and MS have any sort of semi-perfect damage, and only partially. If we replace our bow entirely with our flute, I don't think our damage output would drop that much though, due to just how quickly damage with HC stacks up.

And it's still level one. And we probably still have passives from more levels of AC to add in before tourney.

That's not how AP works, thankfully. 4AP means we penetrate 4 armour, not that 4 damage we make penetrate armour. So if they have 4 armour rating or less they get full damage, but if they have more (Ling Qi has 7 armour against cold for example) they get less damage.
Also, format your posts ;_; .

So uh what about the fact that all the plans iirc have too many Majors included? Returning to the cave is a Major even if not labeled as such in the plans and we only have 4 available ones due to Ling Qi's mother arriving.

There's another reason our flying sword dice pool is going to be abnormally large: Remember what Xiulan they said about us having more meridians open before the White Room opened, when we were still peak yellow, than she does even now, despite sharing our visits to the white room? Xiulan is around peak yellow now and probably a good benchmark for what a highly-motivated noble cultivator could achieve, and it sounds like we are going to have more meridians than most people at equal cultivation levels because of our high talent.

We currently have a three way tie for our most common element. Choosing an element that naturally supports the abilities of our blade might make a difference, so since the example weapon that offered improved initiative used wind, I've gone with wind here. Mechanically the dice are identical but narratively it might help.

And, of course, it gives us 3 bonus dice to FVM and other attacks. It buffs our debuffs and our debuffs buff it, in a beautifully synergistic circle.

This isn't set in stone, so if anyone sees an exploit I've missed go ahead and chime in.

Prototype flying sword:
[][Talisman] Crescent Rose*: Dexterity+Expression, Wind
-[] Scythe/Lucerne Hammer/Galive/Giant Sword etc (depends on base stats/coolness, target: ~DV14, AP1)
-[] improved initiative
-[] bonus attack dice based on difference in initiative
-[] extra AP
-[] Reserved pending GM statements

*I'm still working on the name.:p Any suggestions?

The last ability slot is reserved. It may be left blank to strengthen the three main abilities or selected to give us an advantage in flying sword vs. flying sword combat, compensate for a weakness, or add another cool ability, depending on what yrsillar says.

This is just my opinion, but I think this is the perfect weapon for a jumped-up commoner to smash some noble heads with. It's not built from the body of an ancient beast, it's not one of the "four noble weapons", it gets its power from our support debuffs and raw talent. And if we pick up any buffs that affect Domain Weapons the high DV will help our weapon take advantage of them too.

( I'm actually partial to a Lucerne Hammer, but I couldn't come up with a good name or picture.)

Sable Smile seems more appropriate, given how we're going a Grinning/Hidden combination, and Darkness is one of our strongest Elements.

All these cool names made me try for myself.

How about Reaper Refrains?

It has both the meanin of the Reaper stopping or the Reaper being Unstoppable.
