I'm seeing two ways of doing so, currently. The first is being able to get enough tutoring that we can ask a friendly inner sect student to take care of this with a inner sect crafter. Given we now have access to 30+ sect missions, once we have our archive level 3 arts lined up we might be able to sustain a tutor every week
The second is to cash in CRX favours- or Xiulan. We have currently 3 of the former, and she can certainly get access to a good crafter for those favours.

Is it confirmed we have 3 CRX favours? I thought we only had one. We did 2 other actions that benefited Cai, but I don't think it's confirmed if those actually merited favours or not, and trying to cash in on favours we don't have strikes me as terribly unwise.

Well, clearly we'll confirmed we have them, but the only way we even know we have the first favour was because we asked what was up with CRX not giving us anything for Yan Renshu. Given what we did since then and that she also hasn't paid us for either of those, well... if they aren't favours they are black marks for CRX.

Its one of those things she wouldn't think of.
Street favors immediate material rewards. Nothing else can be trusted and friendship is scant comfort against hunger and cold.
Commoners deal in written, witnessed and sealed contracts, for their word is worth little, but not nothing.
Nobles deal in unspoken favors and the strength of their reputation and Face.
Even asking implies they aren't good for their word.

Does that mean we can just buy a talisman that does -8qi to spine arts if that's all it does ?
Or a talisman with only +7 dice to spiritual attack. That seems focused.
Next week goal: intercept/steal Sun's package.
Yan Renshou had the right idea: f you can't face your foe right on, starve them.

Does that mean the new wind site gives (12x1.5)18 dice ?
There's a little problem with that.
Upgrading those means we can't use them for 1-4weeks. Which, while it may not be a problem for training, is one for whatever "action" Ling Qi might have in that time.
I propose we take a minor action before going in closed door breakthrough week(s) to make these orders.

Sadly not. Yrsillar gives us the dice of sites post-multiplication. So Dark Pool is 4 base, Vent 5, Wind Site 8.
There is a slight problem with this: we'll need considerable resources before getting new talismans made. At least a grade 3 core, lots of stones, and maybe access to inner sect crafter... but mostly being able to know exactly the elements/meridians of the arts we have. We are still planning on geting 2/3 more arts, so it is premature.
Beside that, making a custom talisman doesn't always mean we'll replace current one. It's the case for the flute and maybe the Blizzard Pin, but overall we'll most likely get new ones.

At a guess, most people who like Ji Rong or Cui would probably choose Zeqing as second choice. Approval voting would make her the winner. That kind of thing... Arguably better, since more people are usually happier with the result.

This list of nice properties: RangeVoting.org - Single winner voting system comparison chart But mainly low Bayesian regret (pic), the lack of need for strategic voting, and how much this format fits a "next interlude you want to see" question; just vote for whatever options you want to see.
Definitely shouldn't implement approval voting for Cultivation planning considering that plans form and change over time. The votes could however use more structure around different topics. e.g. in this week there's whether to do an 8fold week, which Meizhen minor to pick and whether to show Su Ling the Wind/Mountain site or not.

Unfortunately those concerns develop dynamically. Yrsillar can't just add a "which Meizhen action do you want to do this week" option because it's entirely possible for a plan to have both or neither of them.

Conversely, your efforts on the political front have been more successful than you dared hope. You have encountered a surprising number of promising young cultivators, and even managed to make a connection with Bai Meizhen.
The Bai are famously as unfriendly as they are powerful; that power is why, despite the loss of their greatest cultivator, the desertion of their vassals, and the hostility of the Imperial throne the Bai still stand as one of the greatest houses of the empire. Even in their weakness their lessers dare not bare their fangs against them to devour them, as happens to many noble houses who stumble. Your mother has few words of kindness to say for anyone but she has never called the Bai weak.

Ling Qi proposes renting the pill furnace to your followers at a discount in exchange for a profit sharing agreement. While she is there you ask a few probing questions and get a better idea of how she thinks.

However, Sun Liling took this as a personal insult and attempted to hunt down Ling Qi. Somewhat to your astonishment Ling Qi managed to evade her, leading her on a chase through the upper peaks. Bai Meizhen left to relieve Ling Qi immediately upon hearing the news and was unavailable for the assault but they managed to tie up Sun Liling long enough for your assault to conclude successfully.
Reward: Sun Liling does not participate in the defense of her fortress
Personal Action
Cultivation : Naturally, you cannot permit your cultivation to lag, despite the demands of bringing order to the Outer Sect. In addition to your usual cultivation you will devote extra effort to:

After dispatching council member Ling Qi to bait Sun Liling into abandoning her fortress Lady Cai led a lightning raid, smashing in the gates and laying waste to the fortress. Having demonstrated the folly of opposing her, Lady Cai then withdrew to give those who had been deceived by the false promises of Sun Liling a chance to come to their senses. Already Sun Liling's supporters have begun to desert her!
Funding Trouble : Those with connections in the Inner Sect report that budgets are smaller this year. Speculation is that the empress has denied the Argent Peak Sect's request for additional funding. Disciples from the core provinces suggest that the relatively quiet southern border of the empire is not considered a defense priority in the imperial court.
Ice on the Mountain: Sudden and intense snow storms have struck the upper reaches of the Argent Peak repeatedly this month. While spirits are obviously responsible their motivation remains unclear.
I Spy: A number of the most advanced female cultivators in the outer sect have begun to report a feeling of being watched. After the mass puppet assault earlier this month we can be sure that these incidents are caused by spy puppets of the nefarious Yan Renshu! I really hope she has good risk assessment. Sometimes, no action is better than a failure.
Having both Bai and Sun at the fortress fight might have been better than Sun returning part way through while Bai was still in the mountains.
Speaking of which... Is Bai not being at the fight to help Ling Qi just fluff, or should we look out for Ling stealing our other advisers' actions?
It would be unfortunate to lose our Military action for the turn because Ling Qi decided she needed a hand carrying back the mountain some fool had failed to nail down properly. (Note to self, look into nailing down advisers.)

I could see the Cai!Quest voters coming to the conclusion that Ling Qi is the one responsible for the storms.
