Kakara's reaction to this is, in the confines of her own mind:
No one's going to see this in her head with her nifty new electric mind fence, but if they did they'd probably wonder why she was a llama. Kakara has never seen a real llama - they all died a while ago, the planet blew up, kind of a big deal - but one of the histories she read in her search for combat styles described Vegeta as being "as stubborn as a llama" (implying a degree of surliness you just don't see in oxes) and it had a helpful (though probably sacrilegious) illustration. She's thought of angry stubbornness as being the domain of the llamas ever since, and that's exactly what she needs right now, what with the psychic space dragon trying to eat her planet.
She's not sure why she's going over a waterfall tied to a log with a fat man, but she's sure there's a good reason for that too.

Doesn't the genre give a significant bonus to stuff like that? There's gotta be enough of a bonus on pulling it off that it literally can't fail.
Fail to be done that is. Dragon Ball has a history of the super move you wanted to beat them with not quite finishing the job. The fight is usually won by the second Hail Mary.

Is the point that there's not really such a thing as "our" ki, and that it's just a conceptual limitation if you can "act for the planet"? By that logic, our multiform training should actually be helpful for "identifying with a greater whole".
