Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

Adding onto 'Joe in GOT/ASOIAF'. Joe messing up the canon timeline might be fun, especially if he ends up detailing the Civil War but have we considered:

Joe vs the Valyrian Empire.
(Incest, Slavery, and more than enough Blood Sacrifices to make pre-Israelite Canaan balk)

Joe during the Conquest
Joe in the Age of Heroes smiting Elder gods and eldritch abominations while his empowered followers take care of the rest. This better lead to a "Modern" or Sci-fi canon era by the time Joe is done (think Shadowrun, Eclipse Phase and Cthulutech).

Just as a reminder, ASoIaF/GoT is outwardly/officially a high-fantasy setting slumming as a low-fantasy one (but is secretly a cosmic-horror setting wearing the skin of the aforementioned high-fantasy setting).

Jozef is the first in a long life of capital-H DC/Ancient Mythic type Heroes.
Ouch. Let's not. Most of them were assholes. Hero in arcient myth, usually, just "biggest, strongest and meaniest guy around". At least when you take pre-Medieval european myths (Greece, Norse, and so on). Just look at Theseus, as one of the most bright examples.
Don't sure about asian, native americans, and so on. Maybe in their myths heroes were "better", from our point of view.

When I read the omak about how Joe built a time machine and accidentally dropped the dinosaurs, and as I listened to the theme from Game of Thrones, the following picture appeared before my eyes: Joe, experiencing a time machine, travels to Westeros during the Long Night / Age of Heroes. And he, trying to understand what the hell is going on around him, accidentally invents from the nearest available material all this legendary nonsense (ancestral weapons, buildings, etc.), which has been going on since those glorious times))
This post makes me happy because it clearly refers to my omake.

Though, I would pity the kind folk that would offer a room to Joe for a night, because their house is going to be guaranteed to be repossessed by those in power. A legendarily clean house that's going to remain clean for centuries? This is an artifact worth preserving and totally evicting its current residents!

There's a simple scientific solutions for that home defence and ownership it would help in the house hold problem of defence and ownership

PRT Trooper: Mam we are going to have to take your house. There is too much tinker tech and it might be a danger to others.
House: Just try it bub!
Home Owner: wat
PRT Trooper: ... see?
House: Do you know who my father is! I want to talk to your manager!
PRT Trooper: Sir, that is not going to happen.
House: Don't make me come over there!
PRT Trooper: You can't you are a house.
*House grows legs and walks over there to loom over the PRT trooper*
PRT Trooper: ... I will talk to my boss.

Sorry, when I say Ancient Mythic heroes I meant examples of them and their Gods at their most Heroic in a more modern sense.

Like tyr's depiction in God Of War, Hercules in Valkyrie, Gilgamesh when he finally learns how to rule and suffers through the death of Enkidu, Son Wukong maybe? I forget if he was an asshole or not in the original story. King David and King Solomon if you omit the cheating and folly God has to correct. Uhhhhh, I'm too lazy to list a bunch of heroes but you get what I mean.

Joe's like the full Fate Paragon package of like....a revived King Arthur ready to be the Once and Future King, or a Lancelot who never turnedon his king etc.

He had the potential to be the kind of Hero that other heroes strive to be, even more than Eidolon, Alexandria, Legend, or Hero are/were here.

I don't mean in the overly-capricious, selfish, and at times devoid of empathy way that many ancient heroes were.
Their world was harsh and so were many of their heroes.

Edit: Yeah I also don't like the preponderance of Western heroes when it comes to portrayals of righteousness, strength, hope, justice etc. Really would love for other cultures to get the spotlight. :/.

Sun Wukong in the OG journey to the west is an asshole
Do you happen to know which translations best keep the spirit of the original? I haven't read it, only seen movies and TV shows based on the work. I don't think reading Chinese alphabet(s) is going to happen for me anytime soon either (I have my hands full with Greek, Latin, Spanish, and German; reading, not speaking), so: best English translation?

Oh yeah good old cultivation/wuxia/xanxia stories where a protagonist raping the adolescent daughter of his enemies is generally regarded as the good guy and where his enemies are even worse. Asian Literature has some fucked up things and while I do not doubt that you can find such stories in other regions/continents of earth THOSE are mostly exceptions.

And yes I do know that cultivation/wuxia/xanxia novels are not represantative of ancient asian literature (considering it only sprung up in the last century), but it is based on ancient asian culture and when you have an entire genre of such stories you can guess that something is very very wrong.

Can you elaborate on what this means, because I'm lost.
LotR enchantment, do you remember how Joe enchanted Aisha's earpiece with Ren and it allowed her to control her power? Or like how he enchanted Aisha's armor and the Undersiders' watches?

Using a multi-word name would make it significantly more powerful, and it'll be interesting to see what effect they actually give Joe. This is all on top of the enhancements so Joe's heart is going to be incredibly strong.

Well, there were some of the ancient Heroes who weren't too bad even by today's standards. Cadmus. Perseus. King Priam wasn't so bad his own self. I suppose they are second stringers though..the headliners like Hercules and Theseus and Jason were pretty awful. Some of the Arthurians weren't so bad, but I suppose they aren't considered ancient...

By the way, the following questions have long been troubling:
- If I am not mistaken, the smithy is half - two thirds already assembled. Will it be expanded to version 3, for example? All the same, more than 1500 perks in 37 domains are more interesting about 300 in 12 domains (if I remember the words of the Lord correctly)
- Will there be a continuation of Joe's adventures in other worlds? It is clear that the epic about the worm is still far from over, given the style of writing (which is great). Basically, these two points are closely related. For example, if Joe reaches 40k with some intermediate stops, then he will need all the power of version 3. Let's say he is aware of himself in a space hulk during the Gothic War. Well, what else to do, you need to get some tools and a bigger gun and fix / clean this shit.
- Why isn't a fighter being used ?)) Seriously, Joe, you've got a damn hangar with a damn F-18 that has a stupid rocket salvo. Moreover, in other fics with CF, where this perk also drops out, no one uses it. So many opportunities for good episodes and decisions.
Including, this is a great solution against Jack and his gang of fucking clowns. We take megapilot Joe, upgrade and load rockets to the eyeballs into his faithful fighter / his replica, if you feel sorry for the original; Hunt down the nine with all the power of your accumulated perks. And to the pretentious music we inflict an assault blow with everything that is on the mobile bloody circus. Since the rockets will have many exotic effects, everyone can get it. Including the bone saw pathogens, the mysterious white van that happened to be nearby, the crawler, and so on. Finish off the surviving freaks if necessary.

On a somewhat different topic, I've lately been wondering: how does Lord choose what Joe gets at any given time? I know about the reference list, but last I checked there (which was a while ago, so I could be wrong), it was just the list of perks available and selected. I know he gets a certain number of points for writing a certain number of words, but does he roll on a table? Considering how often constellations pass by without linking anything and all.

He first rolls for a constellation and then rolls for which perk in the constellation.

He rolls for it, like you said.
He first rolls for a constellation and then rolls for which perk in the constellation.

Sorry, I guess I should clarify. I know Lord gets a certain number of points for a certain number of words (100 for 2000 if I recall correctly, which I don't guarantee I do). But when does he roll? Every time he hits a new set of 100 points? More? Less? What does he roll (it looks like percentiles, but to two decimal places, so a d10000)? How does he set the relevant chance to roll? Not to make a shard pun, but I'm a data guy. I like knowing this kind of stuff.

I don't know whether he uses dice or a program, but as for the rest: Whenever Jozef earns 100pts, a perk is rolled. First is a 1-12, for which constellation, and then another random selection for however many perk slots are left in that constellation that are on the approved list. For example, in clothing, there are only two left, so there is a 50% chance of either being chosen. Note I said perk slots, not total perks. Some perks have multiple perks occupying a single slot, like all the Star Trek ones, or like Daedalus' Student/Titan Blood. If there are enough points, he obtains that perk. If not, those points are saved until another 100 are earned and there is another roll for constellation and then perk.
