Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

against Lung on her fucking first night

I don't think they know that since Colin misreported it.

All they know is that the Undies had a confrontation against her, and after that it was everyone gunning for her.

They know about that, but from the outside it was a retarded move (it was Coil's trap)

against motherfucking Leviathan

Again, everyone was fighting Levi.

against Slaughterhouse 9

Again, everyone was fighting them. Kind of a free for all tbh.

Killed him in his civvies, and they had no idea what kind of firepower he REALLY had. Hell, they didn't know Tommy was Coil until Tay told them.

I don't think they know that one tbh, and technically she just run until B fell into What's-her-name's Alt+F4 field.

Fair. Hard to miss Tay putting maggots inside someone's ees in broad daylight.

Again, that was everyone, even if she was the one who came with the super garrot wire strat on the fly by complete accident (remember, she had no idea Clock could do that).

And I think Tagg's stupidity can be attributed to many things: Dinah's prediction, the fact that he DID take precautions against her (though he failed to account to how big his range is and how many bugs there actually are), that he had the supossed invincible Alexandria there, probably that he thought that being heavy handed was what was needed to make the S9 wannabe capitulate, hell, he may have banked on her being a cold bitch that showed no sign of worrying about her team seemingly being killed in some way.

Or maybe the PRT is just stupid who knows, wouldn't be he first time they mess up in some way.

I'd still 90% convinced that was a Contessa plot. That stone hits too many birds to be anything but her or Ziz.

Contessa/Ziz: That was totally my plan.

Random: To do what?

Contessa/Ziz: Bank on people being people slash stupid.

Yes, but will they be helping or HALPING?

People being way too much into helping to the point it's creepy. Pretty sure that's a Simpsons gag.

It's only been 5 hrs but I'll repeat

It wasn't bad timing it was Alexandria going if you don't fold I'll kill one of your friends then going off for a while and coming back with a body bag and telling Tayor how she'd killed whichever one of them she was claiming to have and they wanted her to snap Tagg had already declared himself to be the no truce with the enemy pitbull who would march his troops through a meatgrinder without hesitation if it meant winning. Like at Arcadia they wanted Taylor to snap and atk them so they could justify birdcaging her tho really given how corrupt they were the real surprise is that they didn't just do it.

It's also worth pointing out how disgustingly petty they were being since on top of outright making up crimes she didn't do they were charging her with literally everything they could including using her powers on Lung and his mooks the first night, the storage yard and in the anti ABB truce despite them still not acknowledging the first and last had happened and continuing to steal the credit for it.

After all this discussion I'm just imagining Alexandria trying the same bluff against Apeiron.

Alexandria with a body bag: "I've killed lady Khepri."
Joe having given Taylor the nanites: "I don't know who you killed but it can't be Khepri if you still have enough to fill a body bag. I guess I'll just have to revive them and ask."
Alexandria: O.O

"Also, you do know you just confessed to murder on a live international broadcast, right?"

... after deliberately letting him get into a shelter full of people for the crime of... standing near a teacher she didn't like while he dared to have a significant other.

That's not what happened. She was going to the shelter to find her dad and help evacuate the shelter cause battle damage was causing flooding. She saw Glady and his SO with him, and wondered why they were together.

She paused for a moment to collect her thoughts then was shaken out of it by screaming. Leviathan snuck up on the shelter, wounded Laserdream and killed several capes and civilians. Taylor didn't have an advance warning because all her bugs had been killed. She was nearly trampled and forced out of the way by the panicking crowd.

Only then, after Leviathan was already there and killed several people from ambush, do we get a paragraph of Taylor's inner thoughts, that she could just leave them for Leviathan. You don't immediately get a resolution, but she literally runs over to the nearest armband and halberd, learns that she isn't getting reinforcements in time, and then goes to backstab the endbringer. She doesn't even really contemplate leaving Gladly, her thoughts are all based around the idea that she needed to be a better person. At that point she decided her only option was to lure Leviathan back out of the shelter.

Her initial reaction to Gladly and his SO was all before Leviathan showed up, and she maybe spent a second or two thinking before going back after the endbringer.

Honestly the only reaction Taylor had that even remotely matches your description was in Levi's initial surprise attack she noted she wouldn't be upset if her teacher died. Nothing in any of her inner thoughts do we see anything that indicates she is even remotely contemplating deliberately letting Leviathan attack the shelter to get Gladly killed.

Christ how edgy do you have to be to be more pessimistic then Wildbow.

I'm all for dunking on Taylor for being a dumbass, specially in it to dunk on TINO, because fanon have smoothed her out just as much as Hermione had after the movies.

But the one thing I will always give to Tay is that she did try to be heroic where and when she could, even if it was buried under a heavy blanket of self denial, learned bad habits, defeatism, depression, suicidal tendencies, authority problems, hero complex, innability to allow anyone else be in charge or have their plan picked over her own, Tattletale, and general teendager angst.

Believe me, I'm trying to say something good about her.

While I don't agree that she did a whole lot of things by herself, nor attribute the majority of victories on her (she gets in the way until shit is done her way), as people mentioned above, she did distract Levi away from civvies instead of running away.

But you know what else? Taylor and the Undies being terroristswho wanted to be given control over BB
The term "terrorists" has a specific meaning. Of the Undersiders only Skitter and Rachel come close to qualifying.
And do you know what else? The Thinker who can't help but say stuff she shouldn't have talking about Cauldron and making a portal to an unknown Earth.
So control issues? Talking about Cauldron and making a portal to an unknown earth were both morally good things to do. They were only bad because they made it so that Cauldron had less control.
And now I will make everything I said irrevelant by saying this: Tagg was freaking right. His only mistake was believing that a Thinker wouldn't screw him over, purposely (Dinah) or not (Alexandria).
Dinah gave him exactly what he asked for. He also tortured Skitter illegally. The entire situation was a travesty.
No matter how you slice it you can't assume that Alexandria will treat Warlord Skitter and Apeiron the same, Lord is way too good of a writer for that.
Not the same methods but the same ideas.
But I will insist that Eidolon trying to ask Joe to restore his power will be amazing, just for the sheer social awkwardness the both of them have!
True.

I don't think they know that since Colin misreported it.
I am fairly sure by the time of the whole warlord thing it was out already

All they know is that the Undies had a confrontation against her, and after that it was everyone gunning for her.
Doesnt change much

Again, everyone was fighting Levi.
As a squashy bug controller you have to be a special kind of suicidal to pick up tinkertech halberd and go poke Endbringer with it

Again, everyone was fighting them. Kind of a free for all tbh.
Doesnt change much since she didnt bail

Killed him in his civvies, and they had no idea what kind of firepower he REALLY had. Hell, they didn't know Tommy was Coil until Tay told them.
Fair

Fair although PRT losing track of Butcher doesnt look good for them

Again, that was everyone, even if she was the one who came with the super garrot wire strat on the fly by complete accident (remember, she had no idea Clock could do that).
Doesnt change much, still basically lead the charge instead of bailing

The whole point isnt about how smart any of Skitter's decisions were. Its about that she made these decisions in the first place. Every time when push came to shove instead of caving in she doubled down. That's literally where whole Queen of Escalation meme is from. Either PRT completely missed all of that which makes them look stupid and incompetent or they had all of that and decided to go through with their plan anyway which makes them look stupid and incompetent.

Going back a few posts:
She could travel to the Spiritron Core, but also to pretty much any psionic or mental realm. Mental realms could include some crossover with parahuman abilities, though I didn't have any specific examples. Passenger Space was semi-virtual and sustained by the network of passengers, so it might count, but I wasn't sure how that would function.
Does this mean Labyrinth could have Alma over for play dates in her imposed Realm? Now that would be an unexpected power upgrade.

"Well, I have. People choose to quit, then fall right back as soon as they have a bad day or get an opportunity. They promise everything, then go right back to what they were doing." She shook her head. "You end up dealing with a different person. A worse person, who gets worse every time they fuck up until they just stop trying."
Damn, does anyone else want to give Aisha a hug here? She definitely needs it. Wow.

I love how Piggot's house of cards has crumbled around her. She used emergency measures which were meant to be temporary and only used in special circumstances to grab more and more power and authority as well as to undermine the restrictions, policies and regulations she was bound by. Now she's being reminded that no she is not some feudal lord ruling her fief she is a government official and her superiors are not happy with her actions.

*Reads 110.2*
I stand by my initial assessment.

Nice go at 'how would a person (or this specific person) react to such a reality', and the interpersonal and PRT politiccing was much more... interesting? solid? than I'd expected it to be.

Another thing I've noticed on re-reading; after the Celestial Forge debuted at the conference, external PoVs of Fleet and Survey have sometimes focussed on their accessories and how they look super impressive and makes [the viewer] wonder what amazing feats they must be capable of, but internal perspectives don't mention them at all.
So do the random gewgaws on Fleet's flight suit actually do anything? Or are they just iron ape grade tchotchkes and the whole thing is another running gag like "Kataklyzein could be any cat in the city, no need to racially profile Tybalt Kittson; that's just ridiculous."

The funny thing is that if any of his "students" was treated by Joe he may just be able to cancel out the control Teacher have over them. Hell, he may very well notice that Saint have a conection to Teacher and take care of that too. He may even think that is Teacher who is Mastering Dragon in some way.

Tetra: owo what's this?
teleport behind teacher and glomps him gets instant acess to teachers network. Pant's turns brown plans are ruined

the fact that no one knows that tetra is the unholy fusion of Lethe and mama mathers on crack is funny.

if Tetra pulls a uno reverse on mama and starts to jump scare her when she looks and hears one of her victims would be awesome

So do you guys think Eidolon has already primed the next Endbringer to attack CF? Apeiron must be making him feel very inadequate.
when all 3 endbringers show up in bb at the same time ready to throw down

nami: bb citizens especially the ape haters
Luffy:Joe
Usopp:Aisha (she can solo them, in fact joe poked them to get arena acess to them and she bully's them when she's bored)
the rest of the crew: CF
the hat: A serious defence project created in story weeks from now so bs not even we as readers or Lord himself can imagine as of this post

Consider the Forge's standards. There is absolutely no way that Joe's duplicates did not absolutely go ham on making those accessories and equipment, they're basically guaranteed to be the stuff of literal legends, enough to reshape the worlds and be considered powerful relics-

But then you consider that this is the definition of literally anything they work on that they aren't trying particularly to hold back on, and so you realize that the only reason why nobody from the Forge has been commenting on them is because to them, it's the norm. Yes, the helmet has more processing power than the internet, what about it? The armor lets me tank nukes, so what? It's just how it is to be part of the Celestial Forge so it's nothing special, really~

Of course they do! One dispenses high quality coffee, but only from 7am to 8am, he needs to use another one if he wants high quality coffee at 4pm to 8pm, is the one beside the knob that creates black matter when you tickle it in the correct frequence.

A question, I don't really remember, but can Tetra make a connection without touching people? I may be wrong, but I think she just needs to have 'meet' someone, no? Because that means that, if she ever 'meet' Teacher using Saint's computer, the CF will have access to the Birdcage.

So, you know, fun. 🥰

Her power is all about "connections", any connection — and, more importantly, permanent connections (as of when she was transformed into a kamui in Chapter 94).

The reason that "touching" is important is because, once she has touched you, she can be treated as always touching you if she so desires. She can use her Life Fibre energy-drain on anyone she has ever touched, no matter the distance between them. (In fact, since it's not temporally limited, theoretically that includes anyone she is ever going to touch) She can teleport to them, because she is effectively already there.

But, "touch" is not the only type of "connection" there is. Tetra uses Infra Red transmissions to connect to the Workshop Intranet: that's a connection. If she emulates a suitable radio, she can form a WiFi or Bluetooth connection.

Psionics and Magic can let her form telepathic connections, which map up to Teacher's network. She won't necessarily get the "physical" side of things for teleporting, but she should be able to access the data being transferred, and maybe even tweak it.
