It enhances any of the 600 CP Bloodborne perks you pick up. The only one in the Celestial Forge is Blood Artisan Plus. This combination lets you express crystalized blood in any shape you imagine (though more complicated shapes take more time/concentration), as well as the ability to reshape any held blood-crystal structures, or to change the properties of the blood-crystal. Make it harder or softer, flexible, or even esoteric abilities like "channels magic into a spell" or "resonates with psychic energy" or something like that.
That sounds really underwhelming. I know LR is more generous interpreting the text of high value perks, but I can't even see where it can work. What am I missing?

They have mantic cores. Brockton Bay is reduced to a smoldering crater full of corpses in the middle of the date and restored back like nothing ever happened by the end of it
Oh yeah, how compromised it is that you couldn't recreate the original sources of light of the universe, as made by Eru-Ilúvatar, inside a fake mini-universe. Truly, how can someone deal with this much corner-cutting.
Loved the chapter, just sitting here imagining the response when Laserdream's boyfriend's identity is revealed in the most catastrophic manner possible - even if the luck perks are likely to prevent that.
"WE HAVE A CHILD TOGETHER Clark Joe! WHEN WERE YOU GONNA TELL ME THAT YOU WHERE SECRETLY A STEEL GORILLA??? Mom was right all along I can't believe it!!!!! *runs away crying*
I think the Journey to the West quote implies he "mildly" unlocked her chi, but we will have to see if the WoG for this chapter answers anything for certain.
Given how many anime tropes there are about unlocking chi or opening inner gates, there are a lot of entertaining possibilities.
Lisa: What did you do!?
Joe: I just showed Laserdream how to manipulate her Shen Men acupressure point so that she she could regulate her emotions and reduce nausea while flying. It shouldn't have allowed her to kick The Butcher into space!
Lisa: Did you teach Chi manipulation to anyone else?
Joe: I taught Taylor how to regulate her breathing when feeling stressed.
Lisa: Oh god, Ren 17, the Conception Vessel...!
We even exchanged numbers, with an acknowledgment that the entire event was contingent on a lack of civic disasters on Saturday night. I can safely say that if any of the gangs decided to start shit on the weekend it wasn't likely to go well for them.
You know, whatever scheme March and the co. planing will be set in motion on the weekend, is it not? Probably better to not get excited about that date, it might be cancelled by another civic disaster.

still the gate of death btw but she pushes the cost onto a single bug while the rest of the swarm and her gets the amp que biblical plauge with Latin chanting in the background

The Gate of Death is not death because of its power. It is death because to activate it you literally stab yourself in the heart, and so when you are no longer literally too flooded with chakra to die, your body catches up. She can't push physical damage off to her swarm.

you underestimate her hax she obviously knows how to open the gates of the bug itself and the link carries over just like the silk trick + the nanites in her body might be enough to keep her alive on its own
Taylor can channel Hamon through spider webs to knock people out or read their minds. Absolutely busted. And if she awakens Passion/Hermit Purple its over, she has clairvoyance, there's no longer hiding from her
I mean that was the joke. It took the divine blessings of an entire pantheon of gods (plus extra forge buffs) but Joe was able to pull off a "normal" social interaction with enough social buffs that a person who wasn't starting in the negatives for their social stats to have accomplished world domination.
Kind of a filler chapter, but a very good one. Kept on thinking that Jack's power was doing a honeypot distraction on Joe and the S9 were going to pull something right then, lol.
Bloodborne, ah good! Thought we were going to get Deadman Wonderland feces with that power description. May that animae die in an unmarked grave. 🫥💀 Only watch if you want to learn how badly written a story can be, but still get an anime. Or if your a sadist who wants ideas.

Jack's power can't effect anyone in the forge, even if it effected Crystal she and her shard dont know Joe is Apeiron. Even if Jack's shard did know it would run afoul of the curse on Joe's identity. Also Survey is always watching them, and Tetra has a connection to their vehicle. Short of Jack full on mastering Strider they won't get close to anyone without the Forge knowing.
Considering that Greece is the birthplace of democracy and every greek City State had their own different system of government with its own complexities... That wouldn't be entirely wrong.
The S9 try to attack during Joe's date and Joe instantly unlocks perceptual teleportation to smack them over the eastern seaboard before anyone notices.

It would be absolutly hilarious, and fortuitous, if right before March and gang enact their master plan, the Celestial Forge publicly announces the Slaughterhouse's 9 death and their ongoing operation to completely erase the Murderhobos' legacy.
Maybe, just maybe, the sheer weight of Joe's actions will get through Bakuda's ego, Leet's envy, and March's whatever enough to abandon their plans.
Oh man that was great, another few thousand words just disappeared while I was transported to a student cafe in a fictional city. You are too good at that @LordRoustabout
It would be kind of hilarious if she developed a genuine Magical Girl Transformation, from first principles, as a way to exploit the sheer magical power Joe just gifted her with. Then decided to give it to Regent because she prefers to be Lethe but doesn't want the powers to go to waste.
Honestly I loved this and hope they actually work out, even if only for a while. I think crystal might actually fit in with the forge crew, given some time. Plus they don't really have a politics member other than joe's blessings? Which like, I can't wait for him to meet his extended divine family and then to realize, no, this Demi-god is actually a nascent primordial of progress and freak out xD

Think of it like scar tissue. Yeah you can go to PT to minimize its ability to compromise the muscles when you lift something but its still going to be stiff and throw up a twinge at awkward moments.
