Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

@LordRoustabout

questions
could Joe do something quite as stupid as a Skyrim's [enhance alchemy ⇾ fortify enchanting] loop?

Will Joe finally get laid at some point in the future

how bored is panacea by now? In a scale of 1-10?

Can Joe pop gray boy loops yet?

If Joe could have one Pokémon, which would it be?

Joe is given the totally spies series on DVD, what's his reaction to the very tight bodysuit?

What media (excluding worm, of course) would most concern Joe if he gained in the library? And which would he like the most?

Mewtwo.

A creation of sheer hubris, denying all effort to control him and finding his own way into a world he was never meant to exist in.

Also, he's def. a world-ending threat, so he'd fit right in.

I doubt LordR would see it that way though, going by his refusing the perfectly reasonable suggestion that Jozef's Autobot form should be Metroplex.

So, probably Porygon?

On the other hand, Mewtwo would be very useful to Jozef. He has Survey to handle infosec, Fleet to handle all the vehicles, and the Matrix to deal with all things nano. Since Jozef has an aversion to Biotinkering, he could leave all that to Mewtwo.

This is SV there's a LOT of censorship here. I'm new and I haven't seen any form of pornographic material. However implied R18 scenes could do it. Story wise? It's unlikely. Joe to me excludes the 'overly-cautious anime protagonist' vibe despite having powers to know if it's the real deal due to his past trauma of mental manipulation.

i actually can see Anorith of all Pokémon, as he is gray (Joe's color) and the Pokémon version of his rwby weapon

Beyond the obvious that is BCF, imagine, reading his own story in excruciating detail, with the utmost access to his own mind would break him, final confirmation that not only all his powers are from fiction but that he himself is a world of fiction.
We got close to it with his armsmaster perk, but he is still leaving everything in the alternate reality bucket, and getting media from a fiction "close to the alternate reality" is creepy but he (thinks he) is still a sentient being.

Such an interesting question how do you react if you learn you're a figment of imagination...?
Heck, imagine him gaining access to this thread...

The other media that would creep him if it came with the absolute knowledge that is the source of the perks, that no real alternative universe exists, it would be the Monster Hunter games/universe, to him Tybalt is a real person, his brother, a friend, to suddenly learn that his world is a fiction? It's almost the same mind fuck than the previous idea.

Joe doesn't have the knowledge that there's a ROB helping him from outside reality, that he is a character in a story, that would kill him....

No. Joe have been traumatize from his past experience with Parian. Sex and romance are out of the picture for him.

10. She's probably snarking at the world. Her mother abandoned her in M/S, her family is broken, her city have gone to shit, she couldn't heal the heroes in their time of needs, and the villain that healed her told her the truth about the super bomb tinker he was preparing against.

Snark is all she have left.

"...I'm in a boring story"

Good power would be eyes of truth of how they are called from densetsu no yuusha no densetsu. Analizes everything he looks at allows him to copy stuff and instantly destroy (erase) what he analyzed. Would be god send for craftsman. Enchanting would be made op by this as he could juat look where are weakest points.

I can see her doing a lot of the stuff you listed, but not this one.

Specifically because she was built for data analysis, it seems like she legitimately enjoys the process for its own sake at a basic level.

My bet is that she wouldn't automate anything she could do herself for her hobby work, any more than you'd outsource whittling something around a campfire.
I can see her modularizing herself into arrays of data analysis modules so that she can be more easily transported though...I was trying to think of how having a lot of data analysis modules would be less like bulk and more like "wearing", or possibly accessorizing with, a lot of code which made me think about whether Garment could become a decent coder with the right interface.
Or he could use Uppercrust to help deal with the situation on the Bay. Uppercrust is certainly very well connected, so if Uppercrust is backing him he could help with the PRT situation. Similarly, Uppercrust could also help with dealing with the gangs.
Personally, I expect Apeiron to ask Uppercrust for tinkertech samples as the price of healing. The skullbois haven't had anything new to look at in a while.
There's potentially access to Bastard Sons services; use on Joe Prime would be problematic since the skilled use that Bastard Sons abilities grant comes at the cost of other mental abilities but Joe would have little-to-no problem cooking up something other then a brain that he could target.

There's also Agnes Court; they use self-petrifying organic growth, woody stuff turned geological stuff, to make structures; not only could that be some worth-while samples but Joe could get them to work with Panacea to probably make some wonderful stuff even without it being in conjunction of other Biotinkers like Blasto. It'd probably even let her tap into some of the Data that her Shard had on her fathers use of his own powers since he used it like a Shaker.
My bet is on access to coastal shield generators. Two birds with one stone: get the sample of advanced tinkertech and upgrade existing shield gens, stealthly if necessary
Access to the costal shields is probably one of the most costly things Joe could ask for, not only does it eliminate Upercrust's monopoly but it also positions Joe to take over Upercrust's work if anything were to happen to him.
Not too great of a idea; Joe already knows how to scale technology up so one forcefield generation device is as good as any other and people seeing Joe near that sort of valuable infrastructure would cause problems.
Considering Apeiron's level and speed of work, I would think that Uppercrust would realize very quickly that Apeiron will replace him, possibly immediately once other people cotton in on that fact. After all, Apeiron is a "mercenary" and Uppercrust is technically the same. I don't think Uppercrust would mind that much though - his bloodthirstiness aside, Uppercrust did largely start his projects in hopes of helping humanity as a whole, and being able to hand that job over to someone else after decades of working in rather poor physical condition is just screaming "FINALLY I CAN RETIRE AT LAST".

Considering Joe's Unnatural Skill: Music, heads exploding is well within possibility even with regular poetry.
If anyone should be Uppercrusts successor it should probably be Matrix. Matrix and possibly Tetra since I can definitely see her enjoying being able to emulate forcefield projection devices. Them and possibly Garment since she'd probably find making clothing out of forcefields rather enjoyably novel?

A second opinion on Spheres old tech, possibly collected directly from the moon since Joe has portals, would probably also be appreciated; both for insight into his tech itself and insight into how to tapdance all over Mannequins buttons and piss it off into being predictable.

I kind of like this take on it:
It's like an ever-growing thinker power where the only limit is the data one has access to. Or like a trump power that produces thinker powers. Developing new algorithms is just developing a new technique to Survey. Like a martial arts.
I imagine she is quite good at programming dumb machines already, but that her relationship with this sort of thing on an emotional level is probably more like a master martial artist teaching monkeys to kick box than anything we associate with it.

So checked the Power list and it looks like the Fate/Extra perk Digitized Sorcery allows for Joe to make Spiriton Hacking/Code Cast rather than giving it to him basically the same as building Spiritron Computers from first principles.
The Magi of old had to adapt, converting the dying system of magecraft into something that could be used to their advantage within the Moon Cell. The results of their efforts are the Code Casts, a digital version of magecraft. Much like them, you can now convert magical systems into a technological variant. This will not be instant and will require a fair amount of research for you to accomplish, but it would let you find a new side to existing systems you possess
Also the Etherlite is one of the most terrifying weapons in Type Moon and is basically THE Master Effect.
The Etherlite (エーテライト, Ēteraito?) is a Mystic Code of the Eltnam family. It is an artificial nervous system constructed of ether and a nano-scale filament a micron thick with a maximum range of five kilometers, connected to her through a bracelet. Sion uses it like a whip to slice and entrap opponents during battle, but its true use is in attaching to the opponent's skin to integrate with their central nervous system and read their thoughts and memories. It was originally intended as a substitute nervous system for use by surgeons, so it can substitute destroyed nerves. The mental link formed between the user and the target has made the Eltnam name become synonymous with Spiritron hacking. Though others find the thought-reading function to be vile in itself, it carries the even more dangerous ability to "merge with and copy memories and experiences." Thought of as inhumane and demonic even by Atlas, the "acquisition of another's life" is a technique unique to the Eltnam family, they are scorned and feared due their creation and use of this Mystic Code. It can also be used to draw in information of her surroundings by spinning in place.

Attaching it to and removing it from an unknowing target is easy due to it being like a thread unable to be seen with the naked eye, giving her the ability to compel and coerce the human nervous system of the target. It is a true talent to completely invade and seize another individual through thousands of barriers like reason and instinct. Taking over the person's "hardware", it hacks into the only control center of the body, the brain, and becomes a second control center. Thought directs the body, so it hacks into that process and sabotages the original. It penetrates to the deepest level of the person, hacking orders to the body that believes came from its own brain. It instantly seeks out and fuses with their nerves, and its length is enough to easily fill a human body. It can be thought of as hacking both their mind and body, allowing her to either simply read their thoughts or have complete control of their actions.

It takes information from the brain to "create a blueprint of the soul" from which thought processes are derived. While other methods of collecting knowledge can damage the information and possibly the target, Etherlite does not leave a scar in the mind or negatively affect the brain. The thoughts can be invaded, downloaded, and rewritten without the target knowing at all. While it can move their body without their input, it is possible to resist commands to an extent. It is not fully mind reading, but instead the ability to read the subjects and verbs of the thoughts, minus the conjunctions. It can easily track a person so long as they are connected to it, and it cannot be removed by the target without frying their nervous system and body because it is considered a part of it. It would not be effective against a target like a True Ancestor, but she can easily send electricity to destroy the brain of a normal human and likely kill them with pain even before nerve damage begins.

The manga includes the ability to release the limiter on a person's nerves to greatly increase their physical ability as a last resort. Due to going over their normal limits by releasing the body's restraints, it puts large strain on the them and can not be used very often. Once the limiter is enabled again, the target is left unable to move for a time.

Hey-ho-hello, just wanted to take a moment to talk about this WOG here:
Lord Roustabout on Archive Of Our Own said:
With Cauldron, the fact that they were unknowingly influenced by an ability like that might cause them to reevaluate some of the decisions they've made. Might. In reality, they'll probably stick with denial of the situation of just dismiss Joe's theories on Jack's power.
I am... confused? Cauldron has access to three-to-four bull$#!7-tier Thinkers (Contessa, Number Man, Alexandria, and possibly Eidolon), and also Doctor Mother, who isn't even a Parahuman and thus doesn't suffer from Jack's mind-manipulations. Plus, Cauldron is the group that knows the most about how shards work after Apeiron. Once Jimmy Stab is taken out of the picture, why wouldn't Cauldron be able to take a look at their past actions and say "Hey, something's not jiving here."?

So far as Cauldron are concerned, The Path™ is sacrosanct; it cannot be tricked or altered like that, only hidden from (as Eidolon and Scion do).

Jack's power does not create blind-spots in The Path™, so clearly it can't be impacting their decisions, right? (Wrong.)

(And, just because Jack is dead, doesn't mean his power won't continue working to hide its own actions; it will still be alive and well in ShardSpace.)

And naturally pissed off that its favorite host died, and we all know that Resurrection is definitely impossible in the world of Earth Bet. There are most certainly no capes who would dare bring him back for their goals, no psycho chirurgeons and step-by-step-program-enthusiasts here after all.

Wait, who's the psycho chirurgeon in this case? Bonesaw would be keelhauled alongside Jack Slash, I think.

Blasto was willing to experiment with Simurgh tissue.
I asked myself numerous times why shards thought that giving a stoner such power of creation was a good idea and only years later it clicked that yes, this is precisely the reason why for shards giving a stoner such a power of creation was definitely a very good idea

Wait, who's the psycho chirurgeon in this case? Bonesaw would be keelhauled alongside Jack Slash, I think.

Bonesaw is the Chirugeon, or the host anyway, and Bonesaw is the kind of person that would abso-godamn-lutely be inspired by Joe's use of Duplicates. Maybe even mistaking them for merely biological Flash-Cloned versions of him, which would lead to the idea of 'Surpassing' Apeiron....like basically every Parahuman around thanks to the Shards getting intrigued thanks to the Out-of-Context-Problem that is Joe.

Bonesaw will die at the same time as Jack tho. You could argue for Blasto but he'll nope the idea the very second he gets wind Joe is erasing the 9 as a concept. The man is not an idiot.
