Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

If everywhere is touching the shadow, isn't everywhere a valid dark Slayer destination?

Also mastering apparition should be super easy now that you've got an ability that overcomes every advantage it used to hold over dark Slayer...

Got an idea, how things could get worse:
Joe talks with his sister and he's not an doormat anymore. He's brilliant and charismatic and win all the arguments and not only against his sister but all his family. But here's the thing. A man who was submissive all his live don't grow a spine in literally half a week, because that's how long passed since their last talk.
So, PRT will come knocking down to Joe Duris door in a few hours. Master/Stranger suspicion.

you think his sister have an in with prt or something

Maybe 20 months later prt going to bother sending officer to check, then comes back bringing a bag of cookies saying it's all clear, the dudes just have a new hobby and the sister need to lay off the suspicion

....Oh shit his sister is a Cape, It all makes sense! *puts on tinfoil hat*
*Has Garment create a tasteful range of tinfoil headwear that can be worn in public without anyone thinking you're crazy*

With quite how much Joe's mother seems to thrive on conflict and drama, he was probably the only person in his family who wasn't a cape. That's why they keep worrying about his safety, they've seen all the threat-assessments for Apeiron, and Joe is right in the middle of his turf!

And wow, most of his family do live here? my thought was that he went to college and got the 'city accent', I guess they are for some surprises when Apeiron either go national, or the endbringer meet mister Endless.

and all this disaster are probably too close to his former 'home', that probably is making the people of the house even more uncomfortable to be around than usual.

For some reason, Joe being a native of Brockton Bay was very surprising to me.

I had assumed that Joe's family was not located in Brockton Bay.

He has only ever communicated with them via phone. Does it say anywhere in the story that someone had tried to come by his apartment? Or that he was concerned about securing the entrance of his apartment (back when it was generally located in his apartment closet) against a potential "wellness check" by his family?

He didn't express any concern for his family during Ungodly Hour or at any other time while a bunch of kamikaze bombers were running all over the city?

He hasn't expressed any concern about seeing his family while driving, walking, free running, or flying through the city?

Well, by the time of the story, Joe's parents are living in Captain's Hill (the rich/upper-middle class part of Brockton Bay), Joe himself lives somewhere near the docks or the gym, Alena is in Chicago, and his other sister is (i think) somewhere that isn't Brockton Bay or Chicago.

Joe has blocked nearly all of his family with the exception of Alena, who he did not expect to contact him. That, combined with Alena being in Chicago, is why he only seems to communicate with his family via the phone. As far as I'm aware, Joe's family is roughly aware of where he lives, but haven't really bothered to come a-knocking.

In regards to Joe not sparing thoughts for his family during any associated disasters or while out and about, Joe does not like thinking about his family, and usually has something far more interesting than them that he is thinking about, whether it's trying not to die or whatever world-shattering power the Forge gave him this half-hour.

IIIRC Captain Hill is almost at the border of the city, and a good chunk away from where the bombings were at. And for what we got at the start his family expect HIM to call them and apologize for his 'mistake' during the family dinner where he Triggered, and he did block his parents and lil sis phone, the only one who he is still on contact with is his big sis as an intermediary.

EDIT: Though thinking about it, his family must not even know his apartment adress, since he is rhe on paying for kt anyway

So I have to point this out… Joe was at one point a unicorn. Joe now has the "element of harmony." It's official Joe is now a MLP expy

Well... I had logically "proved" that Joe is not only a Pony, he is in fact Fluttershy

Well... You can clearly link Survey with Twilight's thirst for knowledge and constant approval. Fleet is basically the Jock, so RD it is. Matrix is the non-nonsense, hardworker AJ. Now Tetra gets murkier but her genki persona and boundless energy clearly marks her as the PPP (Pink Party Pony). With Garment being so much like Rarity that LR should put a Carrousel in some way in Garment's store, and I'm sure the two of them would have so much fun over a cup of tea...

But we are missing the sixth pony...

We need someone to fill the place of a character with poor self image, that tries to help everyone, but it's afraid to act, and hides hidden strengths and can be quite scary when it wants to... wait... Is Apeiron goddamn FLUTTERSHY?!?!?!?

This Library Upgrade means that any written text that you add to your library, assuming you or any member of your team possesses the ability to translate it, will gain an appendix that includes all idiomatic word usage, cultural or historical references, and even scholarly explanations of the author's background and possible inspirations
So, since it hasn't been brought up yet, what do the new appendixes for Secret Of Steel and Bigger On The Inside provide? Digital Database should mean they were automatically added since they were inside the Personal Reality.

...I think this may also apply to the letters, though it could be argued that as individual letters rather than a published collection of them there are certain definitions of "written text" they don't fall under.

Wait so what's perks did Tybalt get? Usually @LordRoustabout puts Tybalt's new perks at the bottom with Joe's. Did Tybalt only get "Element" or did he also get something else?

Also how long do you all think it'll take Joe and Survey to notice the his Harry Potter powers are actually closest to the Library version of the books compared to the versions from Bet and Aleph?

Okay so after a quick jaunt to the Chrono Trigger Wiki, I would like to point out this:
If the tone was at odds with the environment the person's appearance seemed designed to clash as much as physically possible. The creature standing in the center of the courtyard was cartoonish. It stood as tall as a person, but its body was just an oversized head with long arms and stubby legs. It had pinkish skin and a tuft of green hair on top of its head, which, again, was basically its entire body. It wore a wide smile and had large, round eyes that probably would have looked simple if not for the glimmer of mirth in them.
This is the description for Spekkio's Nu form, which happens to be his strongest form. In Chrono Trigger terms, Joe, Tybalt, or both of them are at level 99, the maximum level. That might seem pretty obvious, but it's still rather neat. Kinda makes me wonder what level Joe would be if he was a Disgaea character. Or an Exalt of some kind, I've had that whole TTRPG on the brain recently.

I'm fairly sure Tybalt got both his Fire Element and the Combination Attack perk. Just Joe getting the Combination Attack Perk would be rather meaningless, according to it's description the participants all need to know how to do combination attacks, so giving it to Tybalt as well makes sense. We might get to see some tag-team action in future.

Depending on how you view it, it may be that the Combination Attack ability is a combat technique Joe can teach with enough time, instead of needing to apply the Perk directly. In which case Tybalt may technically not have gotten the Perk, but is just ignoring that due to being what he is.

I doubt it since the way Spekkio or whatever his name was said it when he mentioned it was more like "Yeah you can do combo attacks with the cat now", and the whole thing with the conversation was that he was being upfront about the perk "You can do this with magic and tech now", "No it's not the edgy element, it's ______", "Don't think too hard about the chain" etc, so I feel like he would've mentioned that it had to be learned rather than just letting Joe find out.

Yes, because what I thought I had explicitly stated was that the Demigod of War directly linked to Joe will have automatically mastered any teachable combat technique he learns.

We'll find out in a chapter or two whether the library has a copy of worm or not, since Survey is going through it pretty fast. She'll make the connection pretty easily if she does find it, I think.
The perk says books specifically not web novels further it says seldom anything obscure or rare which I would say Worm is even if it was printed. Through repeated purchases Joe can get as high as 10 million books and I would expect it to be more likely at that point but hard to know. That's also 4 rolls away and it opens a whole can of worms idk if Lord would want to.

All such notes will be written from a scholastic, in setting standpoint, as if written by a learned scholar writing from no more than a single century in the future from the time the original work was created.

[I apologize if this question has already been asked]

So if someone added a book about the PRT/Protectorate to the Workshop's Library, would "historical references and scholarly explanations from a century in the future" give hints to Scion's Golden Morning or mankind's post-GM diaspora in the "WARDS" sequel?

Example:
o_O "Ummm, why does author keep mentioning this year as 'the final days of the PRT/Protectorate'?'"

:o "Oh my, that is rather worrying."
