Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

So after this most recent chapter, I find myself wondering what the rest of the celestial forge would have for Semblances. I imagine the AIs would have Semblances matching the purpose they were made for, (Fleet could probably extend the normal benefits of aura to any machine he controls, for example) but still.

Lord is going with semblances with how a individual deals with things/problems

Joe avoids something till he can deal with it.

For fleet I think it's going to be a semblance that's designed to over power his opponents, like a moment of extreme speed or strength, or a super ramming attack, but one that would also be draining.

Survey prefers precise plans and strategies, so a multifaceted semblance, but one that requires planing to pull of effectively.

Matrix solution is to have a tool for every situation, he will probably have a semblance that allows for a wide array of options, but probably at the cost of large amounts of aura

So my guesses are.

Charge/Dash attack for fleet.

Preprogrammed telekinesis for survey.

And hardlight constructs for Matrix.

Now the REALLY IMPORTANT QUEST IS WHATS GARMENTS SEMBLANCE.

At the core of Fleet's soul is The Road. His semblance would be some kind of reflection of that. I'm thinking a Juggernaut style dash attack, but maybe only in a straight line.

Survey wants to understand everything about everything, so I can see a sensory power like soul or magic scanning.

Matrix seeks to build and improve both themselves and things around them. Perhaps some kind of Aura-to-matter conversion ability to let them construct things on the fly more easily but at the cost of spending aura proportional to the complexity of the matter.

Garment is a being of harmony and understanding, but is laser focused on those things through appearance. Perhaps some kind of light or perception control/manipulation effect? Basically something where when she's walking down the sidewalk, she can instantly transform it into a fashion show catwalk if people are looking at her and the mood strikes.

I don't know if I have a firm enough grasp of Tetra's character to assess a semblance.

Aisha's is kind of a wildcard, it could be something very... interesting.. considering how she tends to deflect and throw people off balance with transgressive behavior in response to feeling uncomfortable. Though her character could be changing ahead of schedule with the increased responsibility and empowerment Joe has given her over the... has it been a week even yet in external timeframe?

I don't know alot about canon Aisha, but from how she was in the beginning here, I could see her semblance being to draw attention, or some kind of taunt. Basically the opposite of her parahuman power. Maybe

Nah see Semblances, at least in this story, have to do with how one develops and approaches conflict. Fleet is Buddhist enough that he'd probably have something relatedly to, or encapsulated by, Path Making. Especially since Joe needed to knock him out of The Road way at the start of his development. It'd probably be highly restricted or inefficient though given the scope of the effect.

Survey though seems a bit tricky to figure out I think that the biggest hurdle she's faced would have to have been her throughput issues for accessing Shardspace...She does have some trouble extrapolating from the information that she's gained though. That or coming to terms with it. She might get some precognition? Or maybe something like Perditions or Epoches abilities to rewind things? Or possible even something like Myrddins or Labyrinths powers? Bringing things out of her archive? Ah but it might be far more obvious then all of that. She's reacted to things by being informative. She might have the ability to Convey Information in a way that really earns that capitalization.

Matrix is another easy one though. He's liable to end up pulling a Knight Of Owner due to not being able to stand the low quality of things that could have otherwise become so much more.
It's obvious how she handles her problems, making better clothes of course.

Perhaps a perception based Semblance that shows others how she sees them? Not all Semblances are straight up combat capable.
Again there's no way that that's what it is. She can already make wonderful clothing. That's what she is. Semblances meanwhile are based on who she is. She's liable to either become a person or a place.

This story starts on Friday April 8th. We just watched the ending of Sunday, April 24th. The story has thus been running for 16 days, a little over two weeks, which really puts the insanity into context especially considering Apeiron only first debuted on Sunday, April 10th, and only really debuted in a more public manner on Saturday, April 16th, So basically just over a week now. Coincidentally, Aisha followed Joe back into his workshop exactly a week ago on Sunday April 17th.

Wow. Like, wowza. Everything in the story has been accomplished in two weeks? that's... I don't know how I feel about it. On the one hand, given the whole Jumpchain thing, I suppose it makes sense that Joe could ramp up that fast. On the other hand, it feels like way too short of a time span. With that context in mind, Joe has had almost no downtime from major conflict to major conflict.

It's also making me wonder what's gonna happen by the end of week three. Will Aisha become fully transhuman? Will Apeiron make nice with the PRT and the Protectorate? Will Vista confront Apeiron? Will Joe finally unlock Mixing Mixtures and the rest of the Star Trek Knowledge Perks?

I'd make a joke about Joe becoming a god, but we are already past that.

I know that Joe wouldn't be a "conventional" deity but if he did become one what could his domains be? So far I've thought of: Contracts, Technology, Science, Forging, Alchemy and maybe Spiral(?)

Also does anyone know if PtV has autopilot if Contessa used it to do surgery other things that need very precise movements or does she have to do that herself?

Yes please both of those would be nice.

As for the end of week three, hopefully Joe would have wrapped up the Coil Situation with added Raid Boss Noelle and is starting up his program of Joe Uplifts Brockton Bay (JUBB). All of us have been looking forward to JUBB. and Gully.

So does anyone else want to draw similarities between how Joe bunkers down until he can definitively deal with a situation he dislikes and Taylors canonical examples of doing the same thing or should I just do that myself?

In her cape life, Canon!Taylor don't bunker down, she rush into the danger without any plan (unless Tatte made one for her). See... most of Worm really, but Lung is the best example. That's in part because she is depressed, in part because she's stubborn, and in part because of a sunken cost fallacy.

In her civilian life, she let her problems fester... but I guess you could call that "bunker down" as Joe is pretty much doing the same thing (through Joe is getting better, thanks to his therapist).

99% sure it has autopilot. Don't know if it comes up in canon, but I distinctly remember seeing a WoG about it.

His godly domain is easy, it would be creation

Yes, she can choose to go into autopilot mode, effectively giving the control of her body to her shard.

Torrieltar: Path to Victory comes with a sort of autopilot, right? Do we know what kind of limits that has? If, for example, a telepath was inflicting what would normally be debilitating psychological pain, would Path to Victory's autopilot help to power through that?

Wildbow: Autopilot yes (defaulting control to shard with faster-than-human processing), if her body remained functional then she'd basically move forward in a haze of PtVness.
