In all seriousness, Englanderish, your last few posts on the subject have skirted uncomfortably close to "I can joke (or be less kind) about it but you can't retaliate," and ignoring the subject matter that's unfair. Barring some outliers I may be misremembering, none of us have outright said that you should stop posting R/K, we either needle jokingly back or post Israfel Special support. That, on top of your reminders how you're going to abandon the thread if the story becomes too S/R that feel vaguely like threats, have made you far less enjoyable to converse with the last few months. That's my take on it, at least.

Back on-topic and Strype bringing up the Bastard KingTM​, is anyone else dreading A Glass of Wine Rebuilt!Gendo making an appearance and turning Shinji's life into a living hell at least for a little bit?

Oh definitely. Gendo is someone who requires control, he needs to know where his pieces are at all times and what Shinji/Asuka and Rei are doing is forcing control to slip from his grasp. He doesn't care whose life he ruins in the name of getting what he wants so I can easily see him trying to put a halt to things. The thing I wonder is if maybe Asuka/Shinji & Rei have already done too much damage to him for him to really be able to do anything about it. He can try but I feel ultimately he'd fail.

I seriously doubt I have anything approaching enough influence here to even attempt threats.

My issue isn't about you taking a separate stance to me - it's about people bringing it up on completely unrelated shit. Fact is that I'm honestly sick of the repeated shipping wars that keep getting started for no reason. I've barely done much R/K stuff of late as a result.

I think there was a hint not so long ago, I'm sure I saw something on EGF that prompted me into reading the fic but I don't think anything came of it. Shame because I enjoyed what I read of that.

Seems to be a few fics that I started reading when I got back into the Eva fic scene that are now abandoned. Shinji & The Doctor was good fun and that hasn't had an update in a while. Futures Freak Me Out was good, in fact that it was that fic that inspired me to try writing in first person for The Catalyst. Scar Tissue was fairly sporadic from what I understand anyway and I think someone started a good Asuka & Shinji in Unit fic that only made it to two chapters.

I'm really missing those, Unbroken, and Mitigation. :(
FFMO may still me going, I'm not sure. I hope so. That one really made me feel for Asuka. I spoke by PM to someone who talks more frequently with the author of Scar Tissue, and they said a new chapter is almost done, so there's hope for that one.

Anyhow, mustering up the energy to work on a scene or two. In the meantime, because I'm occasionally an evil tease, here's a pic of Ibuki with her top off:
