Aw, come on.

It's totally some weird sequel AU thing about the flipside of the themes. Just about being bullheaded/hotblooded and not communicating instead of not acting or pushing people away and not communicating, with both leading to ruin.

You know, with the moon already having a blood streak, the water already being all LCL and having the shot in the opening just like in the ending of EoE, some number of Kaworu coffins and Kaworu talking about this time, MPE Nazca line thingies. Some kind of troll sequel.

Let the high budget original creator fic flow! :p

I suppose I should reserve judgement until 3.0 + 1.0 is released, but so far it's not looking good. It would be nice if the elements you mentioned went anywhere, for starters.

My current stance is also waiting to see what happens in 3.0 + 1.0 to pass judgement on 3.33 as well as Rebuild as a whole.

Until then I cannot properly review it thematically. I'm hopeful, I doubt it'll work out very well, but I'm hopeful.

But I do find some of the trolly stuff entertaining.

"Ya'll wanted a hot blooded Shinji because you completely missed the point about how one succeeds in Eva?! Fine, have hot blooded Shinji, fucking up everything for everyone. Also Mari is here to be a fanfic OC, with her fanservice, almost no effect on the plot, hot blooded over the top characterization, fangirling on everything/everyone, having super modes randomly, etc." :D

Also Rebuild has more awesome Shiro Sagisu music. So, it brought that into the world at least.

Edit: 3.33 didn't execute those themes well once it got into terminal dogma, but they were there, so, hoping the last one can do something with them worth a damn.

I at least enjoyed the animation, art design, certain scenes, and music. So, no a total loss regardless.

I remember them repeatedly attacking her from multiple angles only to be utterly trounced by her superior skill and experience. They win because they start getting back up after she "kills" them all, not because they were somehow better combatants than her.

One-on-one she'd curbstomp them in her sleep any time any place, but the MP Evas failed to adequately exploit their numbers. You could chalk that up to the Dummy Plugs not being particularly good at cooperation, I suppose.

Sorry to stop the funny, but isn't Hikari still a pilot and arguably the most expendable to Gendo and SEELE? We might have more then Rei to worry about.

Last I checked, her power essentially ran out as the imitation Lance pierced her AT Field. Also what the person said about her going "The FUCK did they get another Lance from!?"

It's not NGE canon, no, but it's certainly a canon Evangelion timeline.

Also you're tacky and I hate you. Unless 3.0+1.0 goes horribly wrong I'll probably enjoy it regardless.

Here's where I acquire the hate of literally every other person in this thread and say that frankly I didn't think of Hikari because I don't really care about her that much. If 1-2-3 leave happy than I'm happy. Not super concerned with the rest except Misato and a few others that I can't think of off the top of my head.

I ever tell you how happy I am I found someone else who apparently enjoys DOOM as much as I do? It just makes me sad how busted the rocket launcher is in multiplayer, and that there's no mode without Demon Runes.

But DOOM does it so STYLISHLY. Like Devil May Cry but with a better soundtrack and gameplay that doesn't frustrate me.

And let's be fair, I wouldn't be surprised if id was looking for inspiration on how to do their gore and saw Eva and went "Oh HELL yes." Like I said earlier, Unit-01 crushing Bardiel's head looks like the template for half of the Doom Marine's Glory Kills.

Didn't Stryp hint heavily a while back that something might happen to Hikari? He did mention Asuka in the same breath, but the odds that she bites it are rather low (I hope).

She'll be mentioned in the next update. Which was supposed to be last night, but then the General we answer to here had a Good Idea and we ended up working all night on it to have something to brief at lunchtime today. I went to bed about 0130, and the other members of my team worked even later on their parts.

I've actually got 2 scenes done, but want two more small ones, and I still haven't gotten to the larger Gendo-Rei one I wanted to wrap up this part with. Oy. Some kind of update by Sunday night, I promise.
