Plots by nature are non -Euclidian already. Why did you even put the pathing algorythms away?

There varying degrees of non-euclidian space, though. Cartesian 3-space isn't considered Euclidian, even though you can construct subspaces which are. If Rei becomes a magical girl, the analogue would be dealing with something in 4-space or 8-space, which just gets nasty.

And well, assume a spherical plot outline...

My plot elements are entirely constructed out of spherical frictionless cows in a vacuum.

Also, in a development that has me completely boggled that I have ever come this far, Advice & Trust only needs 400 or so more follows on fanfiction.net before it passes Nobody Dies, 700 or so to pass Once More With Feeling. If either of those things happen... I have no idea what I'm going to think.

Sayaka and Kyoko: "Um.... Soryu-san, Ayanami-san... can we borrow your plugsuits for a thing Ken-chan wants to do?"
Asuka: ".....my brain hurts even imagining what they're planning."
Rei: "Here's mine. Don't worry about washing it. Have fun."
Asuka: ".....why are you encouraging them?"
Rei: "It makes Kensuke happy and spreads love. I am the soldier of love."
Asuka: "..............Shinji, Rei's turning into a magical girl again."

I hope reading A&T helps sooth the brainburn of marathoning raw Evangelion, @Burstkiller :)

Shinji: "Heh... maybe we should... we never did think of doing that ourselves, did we?"

Asuka: "...You kinky pervert baka." *peck on the cheek*

Rei: "Do let me know how it goes." *winks*

Asuka: *blanches* "...Goddamnit, we made Rei lewd."

Rei: ":V"

Kaworu: "What is this thing you wish to do with your plugsuits? It sounds intriguing."

Rei: "Go away! This doesn't involve you."

Kaworu: "Ah, but I am also to be issued a plugsuit, am I not?"

Rei: "Well, you're not going to be using it for that. With anyone."

Hikari: *Quietly wonders how Touji would react*

As much as I'd like to see that happen, I'd also like the authors of those two to... you know... actually update. Especially since it's been nearly three years since the last chapter of OMWF. The author's still alive, doing stuff over on SB, so all we can do is pray that he gets around to it.

Am I a weirdo for liking Walking in the Shadow of Dreams WAY more than Nobody Dies? I can only take short bursts of crack, so the doorstoppers that are both versions of ND put me off. Same reason I preferred OG WitSoD to its Rebuild. By the time Touji was Acting Commander of NERV the story lost me.

Nope - right there with you.

A fair number of folks who read both probably felt the same way (I certainly did*), but fics with more chapters are going to get more follows/favs on FFN because they have more exposure.

*to sum up my feelings concisely, you can tell that a fic originated on SB when it has a great premise, a bazillion follows, glacial pacing and no updates in years

You will have surpassed the Titans of NGE fiction. Clearly that makes you the NGE fandom equivalent of an Elder Solaroid.

The bane of SB deadfics: Failing to plan out your story before you actually start writing it.

I know. There are far too many instances where I have an idea of the beginning, middle and end; however, connecting to those points with reasonable and interesting material, plot points, pacing and the other components that go into a good story is why I can't get too far without an outline.

The conclusion is that WAFF sells.

Me too. I really want to see OMWF have a proper ending... Damn it, Shinji, tell her!

Not at all. I really loved WitSoD a lot. That is a big influence on my favoring Rei/Kensuke in places. Though I love ND too. WitSoD is just... it's wonderful getting to see them after they've had a little time to grow up, and become people instead of just traumatized kids. Shinji and Asuka's first night together is just... everything it should have been.

It feels really strange, since ND is what brought me to SB in the first place, looking for updates after I finished it on FFnet. If not for Nobody Dies, I wouldn't even be here, or Advice & Trust exist at all. I was even more jazzed to discover that Chris O'Farrell, the author of OMWF, was active on SB too. The idea that I can be considered a peer to two people I started out reading is just boggling.

Which is much the same reaction I had when I noticed Aleph and EarthScorpion were reading this too, since I started out reading their stuff (via ND for ES, via a random meeting 10 years ago for Aleph) and said 'wow, I wish I could do that'.

Heh, tell me about it. That moment when you realize 'holy shit people actually like me'... damn awesome, ain't it?
