I always hated that quote because the audience isn't George's bitch either. They gave him money so he could continue doing his story full-time without having to do something else to make a living. So, yes, on some level he does owe people the end of the story.
While I haven't read that specifically, I am well aware of the concept of it, which is why I said it in a lighthearted and joking tone. Here's yet ANOTHER thing going on Kaworu's list of "Things that block The Call".
Here's an image of yet another reason why Kensuke in my own headcanon likes Mari.
Imagine if this happened in EoE.
This is at least a large amount of the Eva Cast on a train somewhere. The only difference I would've made would be that there would be both Ayanamis. Then again, she might be in a different car with the extracanonical characters.
Now, remember how I posted an image here of Rei and Kaworu with a hypothetical child? Well, here's an image of Shinji and Asuka with THEIR hypothetical children.
And her's two images of the four main pilots (plus Mari) in a group photo.

I think by that point they would've been extracted. Or at least had some means of interacting with the outside would (sort of like the robot bodies the Evas use in NGE: Nobody Dies, particularly the one used by Unit-01).

Shower thought: I wonder how many views A&T has on here + FF.net, as it's spawned so many other fics as well as is one of the most influential Eva fics out there as a whole.
Like the whole origin story of Adam and Lilith and the First Ancestral Race is something I've seen many fics reference, and I first saw that here.

If you want that, look up the TF2 video "Relaxedsoldier_trying_to_relax", in particular the one that's just the faces of the characters on a black background, and go to the ending part. Or look up "Insanity Wolf Christmas".
Well, Going Another Way also has an origin story for the Ancestral Race (known in that as The Ancient Ones, Eldritch-sounding, I know, I personally call them "Ancestrals") and it gives a reason for why the created beings like Adam and Lilith. They evolved in a galaxy that was mostly devoid of life, and likely what little life was out there was quite simple. Also, there were plenty of celestial bodies that had everything needed to harbor life, but were still lifeless. The Seeds of Life, or "Guardians", as I think they were called, were created to rectify that. It also is implied that they're still around.

A&T has been a big influence on my story, though my concept for the FAR is more in line with established Star Trek canon of its version of elder races established in episodes like TNG's "The Chase."
Honestly, it's no exaggeration to say I probably would not have started writing my series had it not have been for Advice and Trust. "It's all Strypgia's fault," indeed and amen.
Originally, I meant to post "Weird Al" Yankovic's "Christmas at Ground Zero", but the playback wouldn't work.
Cue inside the incredibly awkward conversation between A&S and their kids about their grandmas being giant robots and their Godfather and Godmother being quite literal.
