Studying psychology right now, so I'm just now realizing most of the characters in Eva are introverts right? The only one I think could be a extrovert is Asuka

It's kinda funny how in Rebuild, even Asuka is an introvert.

Among the adult population, Misato would probably classify as an extrovert as well. And, oh, the "normal" classmates certainly are, see that impromptu party for Misato's promotion that was just too loud for Shinji.

She's an introvert in the original too, just very good at hiding it. Despite her apparent social skills, she has trouble talking and opening up to people in a meaningful way. However, compared to Shinji and Rei (among others) she is very sociable.

You don't need to be socially skilled to be an extrovert. You just need to be... well, extroverted. If you do take talk to people, then that's extroverted behaviour. Nobody says extroverts can't have problems themselves, or can't use their extroverted behaviour to cover up their own problems. "Extroverted" and "mentally stable" are two different categories.
 
Meh,Stryp will reply evantually, he's put too much effort into Advice and Turst to drop it now...unless he does it to make us feel MAXIMUM DESPAIR!
 
Lots of people are uneased by silence and negative space. It's more like "AGGHHH I can't take it anymore! Someone say something!!!"

But yeah, they do give some to Shinji in Instrumentality, and Shinji himself gives one near the end on wanting to be with other people, no matter how much they hurt him, because there was always the chance that they loved him as he did them.
 
Long work week, long drive home, and part of the update now waiting for Staff check due to it involving Rei and Kaworu discussing the effects of the contents of the box on him. Will write more, and prod my fellow Staff to approve it promptly, so hopefully an update tomorrow.
 
I don't know why, but that box and those two... it can only end in either strong bond of love or great misfortune until EoE.
 
I'm wondering at what point Chihiro Tanaka and her friends are going to lay into Rei and Asuka (again) about the Eva Pilot Corps monopolizing both of the class hotties -- Shinji and the New Fish. I could easily see Rei telling Tanaka that Tanaka couldn't handle Kaworu if she tried, and that Rei and Kaworu share a bond Tanaka "couldn't even imagine"...

And I'm still picturing the MP Eva series piloted for SEELE by Tanaka and her posse (now a more literal gang of "Harpies"), out of sheer jealous rage...

Yeah, it's the "torn to shreds in a rage by jealous spurned admirers" bit that I'm thinking Shinji should be careful of. Particularly if there are Harpies involved.
 
Very curious. I have this thread on my watch list, and yet I haven't been getting alerts when anyone posts here. Here's hoping this fixes it.

Jean luc Picard is probably one of the few men who could talk SEELE and Gendo out of causing instrumentality...
