Well, Ritsuko does make an excellent Spark. And I ought to get around to doing that Narbonic crossover one day... But that's a story for another thread.

actually I feel Rei would think Kaworu going all... Gilgemeshy/Mad Boy kinda hot... maybe? She seems to like emotions and thats a LOT of emotion.

But would A&T Kaworu's creativity problems interfere with Sparky-type madness? Then again, Klaus's spark seemed to lean more towards analyzing and optimizing the works of others, and that might be more compatible with Kaworu. Not much good at coming up with new ideas out of the blue, but great at following them to their ultimate expression.

A&T Rei has truly alarming Sparky potential... embodiment of the fruit of knowledge, incarnated in a body cloned from a certified (or certifiable?) mad scientist, raised by two other mad scientists (arguably three if Fuyutsuki counts), and possessing through her Lilith memories detailed knowledge of forbidden sciences from an ancient, extinct Precursor race. That one piece of artwork from one of the Rei Ayanami Raising Project endings aside, I don't see her quite being the maniacal laughter sort of mad scientist (that's more ND!Rei's thing). This Rei seems much more low-key, which may be even more frightening.

Now pair Spark!Kaworu and Spark!Rei up, with Rei making the conceptual leaps and Kaworu refining them...

Some silliness that came to me:

Gendo: *slightly panicked and holding Asuka hostage at gunpoint* "I'll shoot her, I swear."

Rei: *starting to glow* "Go ahead; make my day."

Kaworu: "I have the most inexplicable boner."

No no, that makes perfect sense for Kaworu.
I'm with Betatrack, Kaworu would be going full Araragi.

Though I gotta ask, how obliterated is Gendo if he's visibly panicking at all? His reaction to his wife saying "This time, I choose him over you," is to so slightly contort his shoulders that the only person who could actually see it happen was staring at his shoulders from two feet away.

Here's a fun challenge I thought up while playing Total War: Attila. You know Rei's poetic, Terrence Malick-like monologue in the recap episode of NGE? Read it in Marlon Brando's voice (from Apocalypse Now).

If you mean the majority of the audience, probably not. But there is always a not insignificant amount of people who DO get it and accept it. The only person I've met who thoroughly disliked Shinji (to the point of calling him a cuck and a coward) has proved himself to have rather skewed and unrealistic views that contribute to that, and is a borderline hate-plague when he goes full retard on the RWBY Wiki.
Wait, I think I remember this guy. Didn't he talk about something police-related like getting shot? What was the thread that was on, again?
And what did they do in the RWBY wiki?

I don't feel like I should reveal exact details (like where to find him and what his username is), but he typically stays on his personal threads. He also has a habit of giving "kudos" (they're like ratings here) to himself when he feels he said something good, but they often are either not well thought out at best and/or offensive at worst (so it comes off as grossly self congratulatory). He also doesn't have a sense of maintaining anonymity on the wiki (even posting his irl face on one thread).

I think I can sort of summarize his personality (or at least the impression it gives us) as Tomoko from WataMote but less sympathetic.

Oh please. While I heartily approve of that particular scene (and one other particular scene) -- in context of this thread, because WiB! -- please, please, don't waste the space of this thread on trash like Monogatari. Best case, it's a 'weird Japanese series'. Worst case, and I'm inclined to believe that it is the worst case -- nothing but fanservice-laden junk. Unfunny fanservice-laden junk.
To Love-Ru is also nothing but fanservice-laden junk, but at least it's SUPER INTERESTING!™

Thank you.

Well, he did say omake, not crossover. So an Unknown Armies omake for A&T...

...but just... why? And what even IS Unknown Armies? :p

Why'd you use the :p smilie instead of the  or o_O smilies?

But yeah, Unknown Armies is essentially this.

Weird, obsessive and not mentally healthy wizards try to deal with a dangerous, gonzo Occult Underground filled with wealthy anarchists and cults surrounding minor porn stars; any one high concept, one sentence idea can be turned into an actual plotline.

That is depressingly close to the plot of NGE, less the "minor porn stars" bit. That thankfully didn't spring up (in the series, at least).

Wasn't he the boy with that SuperBoy icon?

Well I guess it could be safe to restate it.

How different would A&T be if Shinji botched the kiss, but found Asuka in the tub and things improved from there?
