As for playstyle, that may be more harmonious when / as I gain better insight into all of you, and especially our QM. It's better if we all think differently? Or at times very differently? We are doing that right now? Also, not really finding a specific quest / thread voting sticky, which would shorten part of this convo. So the vote parser is documented and I read that, but preferences are something I defaulted to "suss out over time." Please direct me well?

The line item for "In your house," it has occurred to me that there is a need to prevent a catastrophic failure at this point. And the meaning of setting Hijiri loose and feral (she sounded kinda feral to me!) for even five minutes is fully open to interpretation. Not sure if Sabrina is in a punishment cycle ATM, either. Thus, prepare allies for worst. If we think about worst, does Firnagzen write it?

The next meeting for Niko and Hijiri could even be hours or days away. Predicting this would depend upon some data we did not acquire during the relevant story update. Thus, paranoid bias.

'Weird roleplay therapy' idea using puppets is all about getting more story-in-a-story passages written. Using appropriate technology. I'm not an expert on Niko's backstory, but I have the gist. Trying to create the 'winning move' for her. I presume you have another idea to involve Sabrina in healing her issues? Please, detail it to me. I use plenty of detail if I think being specific counts. As my current idea is unappealing to you, perhaps you would never consider moving the story that way, without reading it. Let me hope it was not too unpleasant. But we certainly shared the idea.

Anti telepathy gimick is something we almost agree upon, if I read you right. I am pointing this towards conservative planning for later success. Not sure if it is 'technically' required myself, but I'm betting like that. I think Anri will be a fun character to have around later! To see what that is like, we have to deal with the idiot girl of today. Is there another alternative, or a better time to do so?

Etiquette is a kind way of explaining the post-human facts of life to Hijiri. Please, thank you, handshakes, bowing, all the higher level stuff has a deep purpose. I presume you understand. Most social animals use similar concepts to reduce their odds of dying randomly. In the PMMM setting, unstable girls are given combat ability and vast power, with zero oversight. In fact, they are even shielded from society interference by Kyuubey. Territory is just the most economic thing they might kill over. Killing is a far more normal transaction among Magical Girls. With simple social rules, she can avoid at least some of those fights. We can go into other abstracts, but this is a good reason for you?

Talking to the Incubator is tough. I think we will benefit by expanding our knowledge ATM. Possibly worth the risk. The specific problems could have been prioritized before, now ignorance has become a limitation. OTOH, I fully expect Kyuubey to break away when we try to pump him. He's a little cuss more often than not. Thus, trying to set up a 'fork' position where we win something either way he moves. As with any, feel free to vote your conscience, line by line.

Status update from Hitomi is kinda de-facto. Not trying to spice it up, because my 'spider sense' isn't tingling.

Also, this questing style is something I'm learning. Fiction is more my basis, and making a discussion as short and as non-specific as possible... is not something I associate with good creation. Certainly, in TG, being less specific is simply living as a fatalist character. Typicaly, one gets to see 'that face' on their GM right before the awesome unintended doom strikes. I'm not here to see 'that face.'

I also dislike it. It just seems like an excuse never to talk to Kyuubey.

To the rest... To hell with how much we hate Kyuubey. If helping people requires talking to him, then it needs to be done.

If this is a trap, the most likely one for it to be, given the timing, is him telling Hijiri what's happening here and spinning it. Because right now he could say any variation of "I gave her pertinent advice and she didn't listen and instead immediately threw me out." Either that or, were we to go along with and actively aid him, "I told her we needed to keep secrets and she started filling the building with gas!"

(Though WRT the latter case, we can tell her that Kyuubey was thinking that filling the building with carbon monoxide would help to keep secrets. Though really, that's kinda stupid. Fun thought though.)

Anyways, I think Onmur's analysis of how this could affect Niko is misread. Niko wasn't surprised at all by us talking about Kyuubey's asshatery, Kazumi was. Which fits pretty well with Niko knowing the various bombs: It's likely she's already had the resultant conversation with him. No, what Niko's broken up by is the situation revolving around Hijiri.

If Kyuubey doesn't know we know the witchbomb, then not only has he not been spying on us, he also hasn't paid much attention to what we've outright stated. Us knowing the witchbomb is fully in line with even what we tell him publicly: That we have the whole system of magic inside our head.

I proposed that a while back, and I still think it's a good idea, and not just to preempt any shit-talking from Kyubey. Tell Hijiri that Anri almost killed a bunch of innocent people. Force her to think about what her choices have led to.

We've thus far remained careful not to discuss it outside of privacy fields or timestop. He probably suspects it, but this would be us outright confirming it, to ask questions that he'll probably just refuse to answer. We have no leverage over him and he has no reason to help us. Remember the last time we asked him for something? He told us to fuck off. And that was after doing him a favor.

Yeah, I can't support an option that leads to us revealing our knowledge of the witchbomb to Kyubey. I'm sure he basically knows but plausible deniability is useful.

I would honestly shave off my pompadour and eat it if Kyubey doesn't know we're witchbombed. He knows we have fucking control over grief, including that of witches, and have a prodigiously abnormally precise grief-sense. Even ignoring meta-knowledge, it'd be entirely right to just assume we instantly figured out witches by looking at a Grief Seed and realizing they're people.

Even if you operated under the assumption that Kyubey already knows and wanted to try cooperating with him again after how it went last time, where he took our olive branch and then spat in our faces, do you really want to have this conversation now? With Mami and Pleiades right here? Even if you say "privately," do you really trust him not to respond in a way they can overhear? And before you say Kyubey doesn't witchbomb people, remember that he was perfectly willing to tell Anri when it served his purpose.

Asking Kyubey for help has not been a useful strategy, thus far. Last time we tried--and I supported trying that time--he basically told us to eat shit, and that's the better outcome here. Worst outcome is that he takes it as an excuse to witchbomb the people with us. Kyubey only acts helpful when it serves his own ends, and what serves his ends most of all is undermining us.

Kyubey is not our friend.

Kyubey is not our ally.

Kyubey is not a neutral party that we can negotiate with for mutual benefit.

Kyubey is not an adversary who's willing to cooperate with us for the common good or to keep the peace.

Kyubey is our enemy. Mortal and intractable. His goals are antithetical to our own. He seeks the death of us and everyone we care about. He is committed to sparkle motion, where "sparkle motion" is a euphemism for human extinction. Kyubey will not be helpful to us unless doing so serves to lay the groundwork for our own destruction later.

I'm leery of discussing the witchbomb openly with Kyuubey, especially while near non-lichbombed gucas - yes, it knows that we know, but that's no reason at all to open that can of worms. I'm with Narrator on this.
