Firstly, no invisitext of any kind, at least as far as I can tell. Probably for the best to have someone double check.

Secondly, let's push the UKG thing to the back for our minds for now. We can freak the fuck out later. (Although, I would still appreciate if someone could explain it to me in full.)

Lastly, the situation at hand. Should we interfere with their little shouting match? I have a feeling things will take for the worse if we don't. On the other hand, there are our worries about steamrolling people. But right now, fuck that.

Question is, what do we say?

Decidedly not calm. Nice slap, Niko, but where's the hug? Aftercare is important!
[x] Make meguca hug
[x] Hug meguca

I'll need to think about this more, but right off the hop, I'm not liking what Saki is doing. "Niko can handle herself"? (Which one?) What's she even trying to drag us away for? Is she trying to be considerate, assuming (reasonably) that we don't know Niko's Super Seekrit Circumstances? But we can't just blow her off entirely...
[x] Help me, Eirin Mami!

[] Rebuff Saki. Niko's "handling herself" has led to this situation, and someone needs to look after them for the moment.

Reasoning - Niko and Hijiri are extremely close in their origin, and their mental processes are likely to be very similar. As such, they likely share a lot of the blind spots in their own reasoning. If one is having trouble finding a solution they both would like, the other would have this trouble as well. An observer will likely bring more good than harm.

[ ] Stay and Listen
-[ ] To Saki: It'd be a bit foolish to leave her alone with her evil clone, no?
-[ ] Don't interject unless conversation deteriorates to the point where nothing is getting across or things get physical
[ ] Let Niko and Hijiri vent a little bit
-[ ] After a small amount of time, once the pair start to lose steam, remind them about Airi and the Memory Field, both of which need to be fixed.

[ ] MEANWHILE:
-[ ] Oriko said she might die in Asunaro. We should make sure she has help to not do that.
-[ ] Focus the search on the south-eastern part of the city.
-[ ] Remind everyone to call for help the minute they make contact.

Jumping in the middle of this "conversation" isn't going to help. At best, it pisses off Niko and Kanna to the point where they both tag-team us and just about as much gets done in the resulting orgy of shouting and screaming.

We should act as a mediator... Or, we could send Mami to do it. But we can't leave Kanna and Niko alone with each other lest a swap happen.

Yeah, I totally would prefer somebody from the Mitihara team to stay behind and mediate the two, preferably someone sympathetic to Hijiri... which I guess is just us since everyone else is sill pissed at the break-in.

Hijiri has repeatedly shown she's terrified of Niko, so having somebody who she can see as on her side and is strong enough to prevent Niko from 'doing anything' is a must if we want to keep her from flipping out.

Calling Hijiri an evil clone (or a clone at all, possibly) wouldn't exactly be received well by her.

I don't think this would be very helpful for making them less mistrustful of Hijiri.

If nothing else it'd give them someone else to vent their steam at than each other.

So yeah... We should very much argue that Niko is not handling this well; she's already got physical, for fuck's sake.

So we should stay close enough that we can interject before things get too heated up, and separate the Kannas if necessary.

You know something that jumped at me while re-reading Kazumi Magica?

The memory Niko has, that Hijiri doesn't? That trauma? It was a long, long time ago.

Niko was a kid back then.

And she thinks of Hijiri as 'herself minus a few memories'.

Yeah, right. That was a fundamental cornerstone of Niko's personality. Without that deep seated trauma, Niko isn't quite the same Niko. Mentally healthier? Probably. The same, nearly to the extent Niko thinks of Hijiri? Not at fucking all.

None at all.

Aaand since it's at hand, my impression of the 'Niko's Despair' scence from Kazumi Magica Vol 3.

I said:
Niko somehow has a gun and, while playing, accidentally makes a double kill ricochet shot like a pro, killing her two friends

(really young, too)

Diabolus Ex Machina is putting it lightly.

Is there any reason Sabrina can't make a Zone of Truth or equivalent? Or a ring/bracelet that forces its user to tell the truth?

Dunno if that memory modifier would stop it from working, and it would take Sabrina some concentration and time to make it (which is not ideal in a potentially hostile environment), but that would definitely help cut down on some of the deception flying around here.

[] If Niko could handle herself, this whole mess never would have happened, would it? You can't be too paranoid in a situation like this.
[] Get the memory device off of Hijiri and smash it. Ask Hijiri where it is, if you need to. Don't take no for an answer--she has no right to refuse, and it does her no good now.
[] While others are watching Hijiri and the perimeter, create a lie-detector grief construct. Preferably something which can distinguish between complete falsehoods, partial truths, and deliberate lies of omission.
[] Using the lie detector, re-verify Hijiri's story and her info about Yuuri. If anything turns out to be a lie, press on the point until you get her to admit the truth.

The remark in the first line was too good to pass up, but I could be convinced to change it. Other than that--let's just cut through the bullshit already, people. We should be able to do just that.

Of course, if we had just created the lie detector in the last vote, or asked Hijiri where the memory device was, and demanded that she hand it over after freeing her arms, we could have saved a bunch of time. Let's not waste more time.

I'm going to be completely honest, that vote was not interpreted anything like we had intended and it shows. Sabrina basically fucked around doing nothing for three minutes because she executed in serial instead of parallel and didn't interrupt after running out of material on a thread. If I could, I'd have aborted the update to re-vote about three sentences in, when it became apparent that one of the basic assumptions of the plan had failed. Not continued onward doing fuck-all about anything because the plan was invalid.

We had at least one major argument for Hijiri that we'd intended to get in before Niko arrived and we had been depending on an update stopping when it ran out of the minuscule amount of plan we gave it. With that interrupt for re-planning replaced by Sabrina just letting the situation free-wheel, we're kinda fucked.

Okay, I think I'm getting the gist of things (Sabrina is UKG, Feathers is Homulily) but could someone explain it full to me?
Sabrina is not UKG. Feathers is Dedolere, Sabrina's Witch, somehow fucking with us--either from the hypothetical future in which she has hatched, or by virtue of being a complete cheating bastard and outright existing before she actually should be able to.

Sabrina was created by Madoka's Wish in the last loop. What Sabrina was created from is uncertain. Could be Walpurgisnacht, could be something else. Hell, she could even have just been created spontaneously out of thin air. The really confusing part is, of course, why Sabrina was dying before she contracted.
