Is there a nice collective noun for gemstones or jewellery? Although those who've been lich-bombed may not appreciate being reminded of it.
A 'jewel box' of magical girls doesn't sound right. Is there another term for one?
A treasure of magic girls?
A crown?

A cairn. Not gems specifically, but a collection of stones that, among other things, can guide people to safety, or act as a memorial to the dead... Maybe a bit morbid.

'A treasure' is probably the nicest of the terms I've suggested to remind people that they're currently a rock. Damnit, brain.

A Friendship of Magical Girls.
A Hit Squad of Magical Girls.
A Despair of Magical Girls.
A Trauma of Magical Girls.

Note: The use of things like Murder of crows, Parliament of Owls etc etc stems IIRC from noble's hunting where they were basically trying to impress each other with semi-BS knowledge.

I mean I'm all for debating what to call this pseudo-alliance we are forming but a group of magical girls is likely going to be a team or group. Group has in verse precedent with some of the groups we dealt with being <X> Group.

Isn't "Remind her that she's stronger than she looks" kind of our general catch-all thing no matter who we're talking to?
Well we can't really help it if it's a "One size fits all" solution that really does suit everyone!

On the Kures note, for people who haven't been looking deeper into the question of "Why Kures and not Mikunis?", well here's the answer as I understand it:

Oriko Mikuni does not like the legacy of her name. The scandal with her father has thoroughly destroyed the reputation of the Mikuni name, all former acquaintances of Oriko Mikuni have abandoned her, the mansion she once considered home is no longer a desirable place for her to live in*... And her very wish was to gain a purpose in life. Oriko Mikuni is dead to Oriko, none of her aspirations borne of that name exist.

Becoming Oriko Kure is her purpose, her fresh start, her everything. She would not object, surely.

* Speaking of houses to live in - might have been one of the contributing factors to Oriko's losing her precognition - since she doesn't like the mansion so.

I'm considering changing this in my vote:

-[] Oriko's not a precog anymore, though she's had visions about Asunaro.
-[] Possible threats (respect Niko's privacy). Accuracy disclaimers; note timing discrepancies.

To this:

-[] Possible threats.
--[] Respect people's privacy (Oriko's power going away, Niko).
--[] Accuracy disclaimers; note timing discrepancies.

We can easily convey that we may not have precog support on this mission without flat-out saying "Oriko lost her powers"; an implication of uncontrollable visions is easy enough. I don't know how private it is/would be that Oriko has lost her power and I don't want to make too many assumptions.

I don't mind. Uncontrollable, sporadic visions and/or visions that are made in reaction to something happening - is even better. More believable from outside POV - because blanket "I know everything that will happen" is a big one to swallow.

Not to mention that we actually have colloborating 'precedent' in Sayaka - she was 'saved' from a Witch's Kiss by a precog vision.

I like that change.
