Maybe we can pick up Yuma as moe shield so Kyouko doesn't stab us.

Also why a hotel room.

...

... If we make The Best Exotic Mamigold Hotel, and give free lunch/dinner to megucas, would that result in Kyouko breaking in to get all the free food?

Inb4 Madoka tattled. :V
Gleeful Killjoy: Yes, Madoka spilling the beans on our big secret without a privacy field certainly would move that down on the list of things to worry about wouldn't it? :V
The timing right now is terrible. Sabrina is once again trying to do too much at once and what you're pushing is not something that can be easily addressed or dealt with according to some kind of schedule we're trying to uphold. You guys wanted to befriend the pleides then concentrate on befriending the pleides. If you wanted to come clean with Sayaka, then that should've been given more focus. Trying to smoosh both those things in a timely manner holds consequences. Something is going to fall through. Potentially several somethings.

In my opinion, the metaknowledge talk can wait until tomorrow, when our plans are a lot more ambiguous and manageable.

You set up a schedule with the pleides. Uphold the schedule.
I very specifically put "time to talk with Sayaka" on the schedule.

Given that Sayaka has also shown curiosity about the talk several times throughout the day I'd say that that discussion matters.

IC, Leaving off on a talk we found important enough ask Sayaka about in advance, in favor of hanging out with everyone else, does not exactly send the nicest message out how highly we regard her. OOC, I figure that's as much of a pointed hint from Firn as we get these days, now that Invisitext has largely dried up. Especially when a character repeatedly brings up and shows interest in something they initially laughed off.

Why in the world did you put that talk during our time with the pleides? Where any number of things could've gone wrong to disrupt everything else that was planned for the day?

*groan* I don't like your schedule.

And Sayaka brought it up once. Yes we need to tell her about it. No, I see nothing in your arguments that convinces me that this has to be done during a time we're actively entertaining magical girls from out of the city. Your timing does not make sense.

Edit: It's the same reason the thread correctly opted to tell Sayaka about Oriko after the picnic instead of during it.

Talks like these can very well spoil the rest of the day.

Weren't people just arguing that leaving this for another two days would be betraying Yuma's trust and risking a witch-out from Kyouko?

... Damn, I could have sworn it was two or three mentions.

Regardless, I put that talk on the schedule because getting swamped was a real possibility. If we delay it only becomes more and more of one.

Today we've had one group of guests and an otherwise clearish schedule. That schedule has already filled up with all sorts of odds and ends and we can't even say that happened because things went wrong. The only disruption to the time table so far is because we messed up while scheduling with Kyouko. Tomorrow is worse.

Because, as it turns out, the whole week is chock full of us entertaining magical girls from out of the city.

Tomorrow the Shiogama group arrives and we're entertaining two groups of girls. Wednesday we have two groups and another training session. The Saints should leave before Thursday but the Shiogama group may still be acclimating, and we have another new arrival, assuming Riona's arrival day is still as Oriko predicted. If she arrives early then Wednesday could easily have three groups in Mitakihara at once.

At some point this week, we also encounter the event that would have caused Sayaka to mysteriously die. We think it's happening Thursday, but that's only because we placed it exactly two weeks after Oriko told us and even she seemed uncertain about the exact timing.

And there's also unexpected visits and unforseen events to contend with. Someone takes advantage of the Saints' absence? The Sojou sisters decide they've heard interesting stories about us and move on us a week early? Early birds get the news from Nadia and take action? We have to deal with that too.

I'll also note that while Sayaka will be here for the hunt later, she isn't going to be with us during the Karaoke.

I'm going to chime in here that I think we should just rip the band-aid off. Putting things off until later is a classic communication error. Sayaka's main grievance with us is us deciding for her what she needs to know. We've planned this ahead of time and let her know about it, so it's counter productive to not follow through, and then try to schedule another talk, at another time, and just hope we'll be more free?

We're never going to have all the time we want, and if we keep waiting for the perfect time to tell her, it will never happen.

Well, we'll see how's the mood after training is done.

The thread has a bad habit of procrastinating when it needs to say something important. Later becomes tomorrow becomes next week becomes never.

We are always going to be busy. We are always going to have other meguca in town, especially now that the first refugees are starting to arrive. We are always going to have Mami waiting for us to come back. We're always going to have too much on our plate, and it's only going to get worse with time, not better.

The metabomb conversation doesn't seem likely to upset Sayaka like the Oriko conversation did. It's not about something very personal to Sayaka that she had every right to know and we kept from her. It's about something very personal to Sabrina that she's choosing to share with a trusted friend.

That said, it wouldn't be a terrible idea to have this conversation with Homura and Mami present.

That is absolutely 100% conjecture. I'm objecting to you guys throwing in a talk that's likely to upset Sayaka even more when you had a whole day planned out with the Pleides. I'm not saying don't have this conversation. I'm saying have your day with the Pleides and then have your serious talks for tomorrow.

Yes there are more magical girls coming, but unless there's something I'm not catching here, I don't see any plans for Sabrina to be spending a whole day with them. There's no reason to do that besides. You can find time for this stuff if you manage your time more carefully.

So, for the karaoke stuff, do you think Sabrina can use modified Grief Instruments to properly sing a song that has multiple simultaneous vocal tracks for a single singer?

Of course. A simulated mouth, larynx, and what are essentially a set of bellows should be well within her capabilities.
