This is a huge advantage. Massively increases utility in every metric. We might be able to pop warp 7 efficient cruise.
Edit I'd also imagine a w9 large core and v4 nacelles will produce an absolute speed demon come later refit. Even without refit, speed is a force multiplier for combat, campaigns, survey, emergency relief and some science missions. Plus higher efficient cruise increases range and thus time in the field actually doing stuff.

For those voting for the standard warp core, keep in mind that warp 6 for efficient cruise is really fucking slow, and even if we don't go for quad nacelles we can still get up to warp 7 with the tall, which is also incredibly fast.
Also, TheShadowDeamon, I think you've mixed up the days/ly for warp 6.0 and 7.4.

Don't think so, the number at the top tell how many days it takes to go 1Ly with the various speed times underneath. I posted a better chart earlier for speeds 7 to 8 @ 0.1 intervals. I think I'll need to extend my master file up to 9.5 and repost it.
