Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

[X] Plan Werewolf By Night
You know what its been a while since we have a script.
Script Quality:D100 + 100 => 198
Nice!
+15 to SP. Not because its bad or anything, but thats because Damn Chris Tolkien will probably have a stroke if we made it animated.
...we're gonna need a negation roll, aren't we?

We'll promise to do the live action in the late '90s, after making sure there's an entire generation of kids wanting to raise their own kids on Tolkien.
A suggestion if I may?

Perhaps you can add Thor, Odin's brutal enforcer (and son) to face Fenrir just as he triumphs over the Valkyries, and utterly destroys him, with Fenrir only surviving thanks to Loki using his illusion powers to get him out of the way. It would serve for a goo "All is lost" moment before Fenrir comes back to face Odin with a new ally: Jorman,a peaceful alchemist, or potion maker, who heals Fenrir and helps him unlock his hidden potential before the final battle. Perhaps he makes an appearance in the final battle and helps in fighting Thor by poisoning him as well.

What do you think?
I was actually saving Thor for the Jormungandr sequel (this only being part one of a Ragnarök trilogy), with the actual battle for Ragnarök taking place in the series conclusion.
So Alan Wake is coming out tommorow every one.

If there is a delayed update, that is the reason.

The Sandman comes
[]A Guest Appearance on Mork and Mindy: Robin wants to work with you on his TV show, and honestly, you are happy that he thought of you first. He says it's only for one episode because he knows how busy you are. So… you're an alien going after the family for… Tax evasion? Thats cool.

The Sandman comes

The Sandman comes is the 11th episode of Season Two of the Mork and Mindy show, coming just after "Dial 'N' for Nelson" and before "Mork vs. The Necrotons" The show features the Guest appearance of Bruce O'Brian as Inquisitor Zork. Loosely based on a Script By Lloyd Turner most of the episode consists of Ad libs and revisions By Bruce O'Brian and Robin Williams. Howard Storm is officially credited as director. The action and stunt sequences were ranged and Directed by Bruce O'Brian.

Synopsis

Nelson is persuaded to compensate Mindy and repair her house after "Dial N for Nelson". But is repeatedly sidetracked from completing the paperwork. A frustrated Mindy asks Mork for help, making Mork attempt to beam the information to Nelson. The transfer goes wrong, resulting in Orson, several other Orks, and the intended target Nelson, getting parts of the message, straining Mork's brain. This also results in Nelson delivering sand instead of paying Mindy in cash.Sand is currency on Ork.

The off-target beaming results in the arrival of the Sandman, inquisitor Zork, after an anonymous tipoff that Mork and Mindy were involved in interplanetary tax fraud. Mork would be sent back to Ork and imprisoned for longer than the remainder of Mindy's lifespan if found guilty. After a series of stunt hijinks and a race on stationary bicycles, Mindy eventually defeats Zork by sorting out the paperwork and blaming Nelson. This results in Zork Reading Nelsons mind and causing Zork to be recalled to Ork

Zorks actions also creates a psycic beacon resulting in the arrival of the Necrotons in the next episode.

Plot

Mindy's house remains damaged after the events for Dial N for Nelson, and Mindy is determined to get Nelson to pay for it or at least get the stink bomb smell removed. Mork comments that it is a very expensive odour for the skunk people of Saturn and removal and may result in the property losing value on the galactic market. Mork goes on to say that he has Mindys house registered as his official address, so if she wants it rebuilt in brown, he can request a Finance expert, a "Sandman" to remotely view the property. Money on Ork being sand.

Mork goes on to explain that Orks obsessed with wealth are often very dull orks with no appreciation for any form of Orkan entertainment and put people to sleep easily by talking about sand instead. Mork starts filling out a request form and notes taxable income as zero as the Earth does not use sand as a currency but sees that it will take several "zarms" to process his request. Mindy is initially willing to wait until she moves an item, resulting in a fresh wave of stench from the stink bomb and changes her mind about bothering Nelson into getting it fixed as soon as possible.

After being confronted and reminded of what he owes Mork and Mindy, Nelson who is still staying at Mindy's, is persuaded to compensate Mindy for the damage caused in "Dial N for Nelson" and promises to send the money and arrange for a repair crew. However, due to time lost, hiding in "Dial N for Nelson" he is also consumed by setting up a "totally neutral" children's playground over a swamp and talking to multiple donors and publicists on the telephone. This results in Nelson forgetting essential details and having the bank call back, informing him that they cannot process an incomplete payment. As the deadline for the bank closing for the day and the prospect of staying another night in the still stink-bomb-affected house comes closer, a Frustrated Mindy asks Mork if he can do anything.

Mindy's request results in Mork using his Orkan abilities to read the documentation and Beaming the full details to Nelson's mind, essentially allowing Nelson to "cheat" and simply make the Transactions, which he does. However, Mork strains something in his brain during the transmission, either because Nelson is not an Ork or he is wearing far too much hair product, resulting in a partial message reaching Orson and connecting to other Orks randomly, and Mork is required to rest his head and engage in vigorous physical activity to balance himself for a few days before he can call Orson again.

Mork and Mindy spend the night in a hotel on Nelsons money and replace their still stink-affected clothes with more expensive, better quality in Mindy's case or increasingly bizarre in Mork's. They return to Mindy's house to be on site to accept material delivery for the repair crew, who will arrive tomorrow and find the delivery to Mindys house, which also includes several additions from the Playground event Nelson was organising. This includes Catering amounts of different Sodas, Food for the planned BBQ (including several dozen eggs) and an enormous pile of sand. This is speculated to be caused by Morks Beaming not working properly on Nelson.

Mork and Mindy attempt to use Mork's Orkan powers to quickly put the materials away but find that Mork's brain remains strained. Luckily the physical exertion of moving the materials by hand (like a human ) seems to speed Morks powers recovery recovery. Meanwhile, Mindy attempts to sort out the paperwork, including Mork's orkan finances but leaves the work unfinished aththe end of the day. The house is left as a building site / action adventure location, and the two return to the hotel for the second night.

Mork's beaming again malfunctions as part of his natural healing process while he is asleep briefly connecting to random Orks, transmitting his new clothes, the enormous pile of sand and his current luxurious location.

This random beaming does not reach Orson but instead caches the attention of Inquisitor Zork, a Tax sandman who uses a telepresence device to appear on Earth to investigate Mork and Mindy for interplanetary tax fraud. If found guilty, Mork would be sent back to Ork and put in an emulated dream environment until he works off his debt, which is explained as more than double the expected length of Mindy's timeline.

Zork finds that not only has Mork managed to swindle a less developed being out of a vast fortune in sand by shady currency conversions (That hill of sand makes it very shady in the house Mork ). He has also had suspicious activity on his sand balance ( being so rich, he is using it as kitty litter, a reference to the third season one episode Mork Moves In.) More soda than can be for personal consumption, and many valuable eggs are hidden in the groceries. Zork concludes that Mork could only have gotten it by crime, and having gotten away with the initial act, it is now his duty to catch Mork out on tax evasion (a reference to Al Capone). Finally, Mork's documentation is not in order. Mork is allowed to beam the information to Zorks avatar to explain the situation, but due to Mork's strained brain, this beaming also fails. The failure is attributed to long-term excessive soda consumption by inquisitor Zork. Zork begins to use his mental powers to Scan the room and discover the "truth" of the situation.

Before Zork can take further action, his telepresence avatar begins to glitch from Zork overusing mental powers at extreme range, which Zork resets by using the avatar to lift and bench press some building materials. This causes Mork to realise that intensive exercise can also restore Mork's mental powers and allow him to properly explain the situation. Meanwhile, Mindy rushes back to the paperwork trying to sort out Mork's taxes and insurance claim, Mindy's house claim and Nelson's Playground expenses.

There is an exercise / stunt / action scene where Zork and Mork exercise their way around the house, specifically around the table where Mindy is trying to organise the documents. Mork and Zork use building materials and improbably hidden items (such as exercise bikes which are somehow for the playground) from within the piles of building materials to exercise with to rebuild their mental abilities and inadvertently mentally throwing each other across the room using their Orkan abilities in attempts to read the truth / send the truth respectively. (stunt scene / psychic battle / exercise routine directed by Bruce O'Brian) The whole exercise scene is interspaced, with Zork accusing Mork of having the items for illicit purposes. (Zork: and what does a self-respecting ork need with 20 gallons of red creaming soda. Do you somehow drink that much each night? Mork: the sodas not mine. Its for the children. Zork: for the children? What kind of monster are you to push Soda on Children?"

Mindy saves the day by finally sorting out the piles of paperwork into the correct order and literally hitting Zork across the face with it. Mork had not put in an insurance claim. Nelson has paid to have the house repaired, and Nelson has delivered goods to the wrong location.

Suspicious Zork demands to see Nelson, who is summoned down from the loft and still busy with phone calls. This beaming attempt, like Morks also fails as it bounces off Nelson's non orkian nature or his hair product, Destroying Zorks avatar and sending Zork Back to Ork. The bounce also reaches Orson, who then contacts a recovered Mork. Orson promises to sort the situation out on the Orkan end after receiving Morks's full report.

A repowered Mork moves the sand and food to the opening of Nelsons playground, which is a success. This results in Nelson feeling safe to move about and letting the Building team fix Mindy's house. Mork and Mindy share one last night in the hotel while the house is repaired and fumigated, commenting it was nice to pretend to be rich for a bit.

The following discussion with Orson involves the necessity of filling out tax forms correctly or getting a professional to do so. It also includes the necessity of government making it possible and easy for citizens to get what they need such as by having easily comprehensible tax forms, so people are not tempted to cut corners overseen by Competent officials who do not take illegal actions for their own gain.

A post creits sequence reveals The repeated beaming of thoughts in random directions off Nelsons head results in a beacon being briefly visible resulting in the arrival of the Necrotons in the next episode.

Bruce O'Brian and Robin Williams are good friends in real life. Robin later commented that the physical nature of the work on camera wasn't any harder than some of the workouts he did under Bruce's guidance. Bruce himself along with amny other talnts is a noted stunt coordinator and practitioner of Jeet Kune Do

The competent government official's line is a direct dig at the former Governor of California, who had just been caught illegally surveying and attempting to acquire Bruce O'Brian's Property. Quotes

"Zork: Removing the smell will lower your overll house property value and attractiveness potential on the galactic property market. The skunk people of Saturn love that smell.

Mindy: Are there any here to buy it now?

Zork: No, they are on Saturn and don't like to go to low-gravity worlds like Earth

Mindy: Then how will that affect the property price if no Skunk wants to come and live here on Earth.

Zork: If you insist on excluding a sentient species as potential buyers, then it will lower the selling price because most non-Saturnian Skunks species hate that smell."

Mindy: Then why keep the smell?

Zork: The smell increases the house's overall resale value and average attractiveness index on the galactic property market. Weren't you listening?"

Powersnake: The Leviathan War: by Alexandru Floarea [ Animation | Urban Fantasy / Crime ]

Following Odin's downfall, the city remains shrouded in darkness. Jormungandr, a mysterious figure known for their extensive network of informants, emerges as a key player in the fight against corruption. While Fenrir basks in the glory of their victory, little do they know that it was Jormungandr who had been silently pulling the strings, feeding them vital information to weaken Odin's criminal empire.

As Jormungandr continues their covert operations, they encounter Thor, a formidable enforcer and Odin's loyal right hand. Thor's brute strength and unwavering dedication make him a formidable adversary. Jormungandr realizes that to dismantle Odin's empire, they must outmaneuver Thor both physically and intellectually.

Jormungandr leverages their network of informants, gathering crucial intel on Odin's remaining operations. They assemble a diverse team of skilled individuals, including hackers, spies, and street-smart informants. Together, they form an intricate web of intelligence, providing Jormungandr with the edge needed to take down the remnants of the criminal empire.

As Jormungandr and their team disrupt Odin's operations, Thor becomes increasingly suspicious of the unraveling network. He launches a relentless pursuit, seeking to dismantle Jormungandr's vast web of informants. The game of cat and mouse intensifies, with Jormungandr always remaining one step ahead, manipulating events to their advantage.

Meanwhile, Jormungandr's secret alliance with Fenrir hangs in the balance. The truth of Jormungandr's role as the informant begins to unravel, testing the loyalty and trust between the two powerful figures. Fenrir grapples with conflicting emotions as they come to terms with the realization that their victories were orchestrated by Jormungandr from the shadows.

In a high-stakes confrontation, Jormungandr and Thor face off in a clandestine meeting. Jormungandr reveals their true nature as the mastermind behind Fenrir's success, shocking both Thor and Fenrir. The revelation sends shockwaves through the city, leaving Fenrir to question their own place in the grand scheme of things.

As the battle unfolds, Jormungandr's cunning and resourcefulness are put to the ultimate test. They navigate the treacherous landscape, utilizing their network to expose Odin's crimes and turn allies against him. Jormungandr's manipulative nature proves to be a potent weapon, eroding the loyalty of those who once served Odin.

In a thrilling climax, Jormungandr and Thor engage in a battle of wits and physical prowess. The confrontation showcases Jormungandr's ability to outsmart and outmaneuver their adversaries, using their network and cunning to gain the upper hand.

As things begin to settle, Fenrir and Jormungandr's father, Loki, steps forward with their sister, Hel, and warns them of the the coming arrival of the rest of Odin's criminal organization, who will be descending on the city in a number of days and weeks.

A/N: I have one more pitch for the trilogy, before I tackle my next project: Claudia Nerva Presents.

[EDIT: Forgot to mention the OTL inspiration came from Powersnake by Brothers of Metal.

I'm really hoping that this becomes Canon so that next time we do auditions we can just make a guest appearence on the Muppet Show without any conflicting TV priorities. I can easily imagine Bruce taking the time to come on and production only taking a few days, plus it's some nice wholesomeness with Robin.

Just watched Five Nights and my first thought is...I don't want Universal to distribute it.

Second, that we really need to hire on Matthew Illard when he comes onto the scene, highly underrated actor.

Goddess of the Underground: Ragnarök Falls: by Alexandru Floarea [ Animation | Urban Fantasy / Crime ]

After the dismantling of Odin's criminal empire, the city is in a state of chaos and uncertainty. Hel, a charismatic and influential leader, has established herself as the champion of the sick, unchosen, and downtrodden. She has created a sanctuary for those who were once cast aside, rallying them to defend their newfound freedom against Odin's forces, who seek to regain control. Hel's father and brothers, powerful warriors in their own right, stand by her side, lending their strength and unwavering support to the rebellion. Together, they form an unbreakable bond, each with their unique abilities and skills that complement Hel's leadership.

Hel stood at the forefront of the rebellion, her eyes filled with unwavering determination as she surveyed the diverse group gathered before her. Sick, unchosen, and downtrodden individuals from all walks of life had come together under her banner, their faces filled with a newfound sense of hope. With her heart ablaze with empathy, Hel embraced the marginalized, creating a sanctuary where their voices could finally be heard. She made it clear that their experiences, though often overlooked, held immense value. The sick found solace in her healing touch, the unchosen found purpose in her words, and the downtrodden found strength in her unwavering commitment to their cause.

Hel led by example, fearlessly charging into battles alongside her followers. She faced the dangers head-on, her courage a beacon that inspired others to shed their chains of doubt and rise up. Her mere presence amidst the chaos was a reminder that they were not alone, that their collective strength would conquer the forces that sought to oppress them. But it was Hel's ability to communicate hope that truly set her apart. With passionate speeches that resonated with individuals from all backgrounds, she painted a vivid picture of a future free from the shackles of oppression. Her words weaved a tapestry of shared struggles, emphasizing the power that lay in their unity. She reminded them that they were not defined by their past, but by the resilience coursing through their veins.

Hel saw the intrinsic value in diversity, recognizing that their shared purpose transcended societal divisions. She celebrated the unique strengths and abilities of each individual, fostering an environment where differences were not only accepted but cherished. In this tapestry of diversity, she wove a strong thread of unity, making it clear that they would rise or fall together. Building alliances became a cornerstone of Hel's strategy. She sought out groups and individuals who had once been adversaries, understanding that their collective power would dwarf that of their oppressors. With diplomacy and negotiation, she forged connections that strengthened the rebellion's ranks and broadened its reach. Walls crumbled as bridges were built, and the once fragmented resistance stood as a formidable force against the remnants of Odin's regime.

Hel empowered her followers, giving them agency and involving them in decision-making processes. She recognized their skills and talents, delegating responsibilities and trusting them to showcase their abilities. In doing so, she not only instilled a sense of ownership but also fostered a community where everyone felt valued and essential to the cause. But above all, it was Hel's compassion that set her leadership apart. She listened intently to the concerns and needs of her followers, addressing their grievances and providing support whenever possible. Her empathy created a strong bond of trust and loyalty, ensuring that her followers remained dedicated even in the face of adversity.

As Hel's rebellion gains momentum, the city becomes a battleground. Odin's forces, desperate to reclaim their lost power, launch a relentless assault. The clash between Hel's followers and Odin's loyalists is fierce and brutal, testing the resolve and unity of the rebellion. Amidst the chaos, alliances are formed and broken. Former enemies find common ground, realizing that their shared desire for freedom eclipses their differences. Hel's ability to inspire and unite people from all walks of life becomes a beacon of hope for the oppressed, igniting a spark of rebellion in even the most unlikely of allies.

In the climactic final battle, Hel and her brothers face off against Odin's most formidable enforcers, who seeks revenge for the downfall of their empire. The confrontation is a symphony of power, strategy, and sacrifice, as each side fights with unwavering determination. Hel's rebellion showcases the strength of the unchosen, the sick, and the downtrodden, who refuse to be silenced or oppressed any longer. The battle is not only fought with weapons but also with the power of unity, resilience, and the unyielding spirit of those who have long been marginalized. In a stunning conclusion, Hel and her brothers emerge victorious, toppling Odin's forces once and for all. The city is finally free, and the sick and unchosen find their voices amplified, their importance recognized by the wider society.

A/N: And there you have it, the final film of the Ragnarök trilogy by Alex, and OTL based on 'Hel' by Brothers of Metal, where if you have to imagine how this version of Hel is supposed to act, it's somewhere between Florence Nightingale and DC's Death of the Endless.

Oh, and before I forget, imagine [EDIT: the trilogy] as being closer to Scandi Noir than pure American Crime like Goodfellas or The Departed.

[EDIT2: Fixed continuity error.]

That moment where there is one thing left to do… but the fate of what happens is in the hands of Mike Eisner.

I think we're in pretty safe hands. :V
While I am normally fairly pro union. This one strike was pretty dumb. And is going to hurt them going forward.
It's not even that the actors and writers were wrong to do it, but the three guilds that got nothing last time decided that they had enough leverage for an insane payday.

They did not have enough leverage.

Decided to revamp an old idea*, figure it'll add a passive revenue stream that we won't have to actively manage beyond ensuring everyone's taken care of. Not sure about when to insert into the mix, given the amount of networking involved, but methinks something in Q3 1980.

@Magoose I just wanted to ask about when John is going to get around to finally making Red Dawn?
He's started a bit of it, but right now, he's focused on making a film for mike, so that he can truly make this one for his soul.
I will be making an action to where Bruce will be guest staring on Mork and Mindy. And he will have a bonus to his rolls.

That is it, that is the reward.
