Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

I should've known. So, Live action or animation? Business deal? Distribution from Japan? They found Disney's frozen head? Aliens came and are now settling in Tomorrowland? Card Walker retired? They created animatronics? Found the lost city of Atlantis? etc, etc, etc?
Card walker was removed from the board last time.

As for what happened… Ron and Roy buried the hatchet officially and their stock prices went up.

Of course he was.

And of course they make peace. Well, nothing to it. Might as well make sure DreamWorks is ready when the onslought comes.

We're not only facing Universal as the big bad empire, now we're facing DIsney as well, and Columbia is gunning with everything it has.

Hey, good thing we reamined in good terms with Paramount, and relatively good one with United Artists. Perhaps we can try for a small alliance there. Columbia might actually not be that bad if we act in some of their movies. Though the list of writers or Pitches from OTL movies coming to Lucasfilms means we need to get them ourselves.

If we manage to get in contact with George Miller now we could try to produce, or at least distribute his Mad Max film, and the sequels later on as well. A good relationship with him would benefit us, even if he has his own production company, as he has range when it comes to directing movies. Can you imagine Babe being done by Lucasfilms?

I got an interesting idea!

Barbie, it would have her appearing in the Modern World! I wonder if that's ever done before..
Well, there was Enchanted...and that's an amazing idea for a movie. it subverts the entire genre of Princess films put by Disney and it would be quite fun as well. We should totally go for it!

@Magoose, do we have the technology to make Enchanted now, or at least something similar?

If they find such is worthy, the Bishop declares the subject a Servant of God, gives all that they have investigated to the Curia who then make a reccomendation to the Pope to proclaim them as Venerable, or being high in virtue. From there you need two miracles attributed through prayer and intercession of the venerable and after approval by the Vatican into legitimacy, they become a Saint.
You forgot about Beatification, which comes between being proclaimed as Venerable and full on Sainthood.

Wanna know something funny.

Disney and Colombia are wishing to bury the hatchet with us because they know which way the wind is blowing.

Also, Roy likes Bruce, despite everything.
Alan on the other hand, just wants to use Bruce's Name recognition to sell as many tickets as possible.

That moment where you rolled for George Miller and realize that Mad Max hasn't been distributed in the states yet.

Oh... you asked? :V

no.

We're good, but we're not that good.

I want to accept this, I really do (and I will for Columbia) but not Disney. They may be lead by Roy now, but they're EVIL personified... or at least they will be.

Can we even do that with Disney anyways? I mean, I think it's clear that they want a monopoly in the animation department (and frnakly so would I for DreamWorks) so, it's peace possible?

Now we know what to do next turn :p
no.

We're good, but we're not that good.
Rats. Perhaps by the time Who Framed Roger Rabbit? is out.

Yeah, the only way we could do Enchanted at this point would be to make the entire movie animated and just change the art style from classic Disney to something more realistic.

No just Bruce himself, they will never work with Lucasfilms because we broke their almost monopoly on animation and Roy will not stand for that.

As in, we can possibly get hired for a Disney picture or show.

Ah, so for Columbia I assume the same holds true for Batman. Did the schedules not line up and that's why there was no Batman action last turn? Also how would George feel if we did a movie for a different studio every once in a while?

Also what's the status on Elvis' Spy movie and the Ginger kitten arc?

No, they delayed it due to Superman being the biggest gamble right now.

And George wouln't care too much, after all as long as we're not using our properties, he's fine with that.

The thing he worries about is the studios trying to get us into a crazy contract that would force us to sell all our stock to them or some shit.

Next writer turn will see the Elvis Spy movie.

And when we get home, that action will appear.

They chose war then.

Ah well, perhaps a movie if we like the script, and Columbia as I've said can be worked with. We have good relationships with Paramount, and a good enough one with United Artists, so with a bit of luck we might be able to survive the 80s and thrive in the 90s.

Magoose, a question. You said that the Animated movies would also be worked every 6 months. But will they have their own category and be worked by the Animation Directors, or will they bunched up together with the rest of the scripts?

Wait..just realised we have Pixar that is being set up by George as of this moment..

Should we make Toy Story Pixar's first Animated Film? Or something else?
