I said when she was gone like marinberg or to laureon it was Magnus
Do you understand that was an basically a hot minute?
We spend at most a mont an marindeberg and most of that was travel, and laureon was literally 2 days.
When we use medieval information speeds this is not that much actually managing a province
my dude this is not true mangus literally handled a massivem milltiarty campain cleaning out ostland as much they could from greenskins, beastmen, necromander ect he was handed the court, the runefang ect and he more than excled at it and that one example
He lead a military campaign not governed a province, a purely military role is not all Freddy's duties as an elector count.

wearing a magic healing item even when we sleep yeah I can see that stopping some problems
And Freddy when he become elector count was a black smith with no training in court who growled at people (I think he still does that) and wanted trail by combat compared to that Magnus is great

no it wasn't he was also held the reins of court too for a year as he had multipe time we have been trainign giving him experince ect you are assuming incomptence from frederick natasha ect in failling to train mangus when this is not true and the text states otherwise. We have been training him, he has had experince in ruling ect we have not been refusing to train him or give no opperuntie for him to rule
. Everyone knows that he is your heir. But while you've let him sit the throne, make decisions of minor and major import, there is one thing that you have yet to do

You are, after all, getting to that point where most Elector Counts begin at least handing off the things to their heirs occasionally. If only to ensure that the transition of power, whenever it might occur, is smooth and regular. People must be accustomed to seeing your son wielding Brain Wounder, and there is little better time to do it than this year. It was all quiet ceremonial, in front of the entire court and all possible attending Hohenzollerns. You charged him to wield it in battle, in the name of his family, his province, his Empire, against the darkness that preys upon all that is good. He swore, voice only a little hoarse, to do you proud. Little did you know just how far he would take that

Flagelants are all badshit crazy if they could be saved they would count as millita. Or something the main issue is that we kinda do not have much to spare half assing training of a bunch of lunatics.

Toroar already said they're not all the same. Not all of them are completely crippled, and some of them are sane enough to survive and become priests.

[X] Plan: Defence in Depth + Allow

Everything except for the lowest Druchii slaves are far too lethal for the flagellants to do anything against, and I'm not really willing to throw them away without at least trying to even things out.

Roland....you have spent two decades running around cleaning up your son's messes. What a life.

Also, folks. Those grankids of Roland's in the Border Princes are by now almost old enough to be adults. If they take after their father, this whole cycle may start repeating again.

I hope Roland can get a touch up from the wizards on retainer. Every interlude of his has involved him getting terribly injured in some manner, and who know if all of that has healed correctly.

May they sell their lives at the highest cost.

I will admit, I called Charlemagne's next move wrong. I thought he would head to Mousilon to desecrate the bones of his mother, with Roland arriving just after he finished or before he could start and they had their climatic final battle in the family's chapel to the Lady. Have Roland's quest end where it first started. However, it looks like Charlemagne is heading north into the chaos wastes, to rename himself, Daniel.

It looks like Freddy's quest will come to an end soon. This battle is definitely being set up for multiple big damn heroes moments, with all of the people Freddy has helped so far coming to his aid. Roland is already here, Eldyra is coming with high elves that want to fight the dark elves, the Dawi navy is on its way to repay previous favors, and more are still coming. With a successful, or failed, defense of his province, he will have come full circle from when he was thrust into the role of elector count. If the twins get home soon enough, maybe bringing a dragon friend with them, then he and Nat might start their own family ghost blade, under the careful eyes of Morr of course.

The real question, to me of course is which of the two big battles is Grombrindel going to show up for? Karaz Karak to help defend the capitol of the Karaz Ankor from the eternal foe of greenskins, or with the Human Dwarf friend to have a friendly conversation with the Druchii?

Sigmar is getting some funny looks from the rest of the pantheon over what new ideas his followers are having. Meanwhile, the Horned Rat is taking notes, because this is definitely something that skavenslaves will be pulling on ironbreakers soon.

Why haven't we sent a messenger north yet to let Katerin know about the incoming unwanted guests?

We can't send messages. The border is fully closed and not only have we not been receiving any messages from her or Alexandra, there's no guarantee any of ours would make it to her. And there's a decent chance they'd be interrupted or stolen by the Bohka too.

OK how the hell did a chaos knight of slaniesh manage to waltz through the entirety of the empire that is marching to war in the south without setting off any alarms, and getting past the closed border of kiselev that's still in kill on sight mode?

We seriously need to review security policies at this point

This is worth sending a message In force for .

This is the armor and weapon of Krell and someone probably by now fairly close to demon prince. This isn't a personal issue anymore this is a strategic theart.

Chaos has always been good at being subtle when it wants to be man, and Charlemagne is a dirty coward who has been running away from his father for years and before that been a plague in Old World.

Witch Hunters and grey wizards doing best they can with tons and tons of threats in general out there, likely stopping them too.

Sure but Krell's stuff is high tier chaos bullshit the kind of stuff you'd be able to smell a mile off for how powerful it it. And there wasn't even a rumor.

Hell we didn't even know our friend was here until we literally wandered across him

Where do people think we should focus our elite units, assuming they are in a position to hit their preferred targets?

I personally want ogre bowmen to target their spellcasters and leaders if possible, have artillery focus on massed units/monstrous units, Morr knights going after the Khaine special units, etc.

Almost all Khainite units, with the exception of the Exeuctioners, are very lightly armoured. Elves are incredibly fast, and the drugged up witch elves even more so, but it's not nearly to the degree of being bullet proof.

And when the executioners do play their hand.. well, we now have unit almost as horrific as they are to bear hug them straight to hell. All we have to do until then is stall them as best as we can.

Ogre bowmen strike me as good versus monstrous beasts and cavalry, since their defining trait is power, not incredible accuracy. Beyond some nonsense like bird bombers, physically slaying them with Fred or Urgdug, or sniping them with the elves, though, I'm not sure how we'd bring down the Masters and Tyrants.

Monsters, of course, we try to hit with artillery while pinning them down with spear infantry and defences.

Unfortunately, I can't imagine even our impressive complement of mages, by human standards, will be able to do anything but desperately defend this time.

I fear assassins first and foremost, however, and I have no clue how to counter those.

Two things wrong with that. First, Charlemagne buried his mother in her home dukedom rather than in Mousilon, and refused to tell his father wherein said dukedom her grave was at. Second, Roland is forbidden from entering Britonnia until he drinks from the Grail.
