I'm kinda wondering who this trap is meant for. Because right now I'm sincerely puzzled. If I'd had to hazard a guess, something like this might be all Namekian's minds, placed by the current Guru as a precaution. They'd know that the Dragonballs are an object of desire to many, and one of the sneakier ways to gain info about them would be to invade a Namekian's mind. So, I think the object here would be to somehow prove that we're trustworthy, and don't desire the Dragonballs.

I will vote for whatever gets us out of this arc and onto training the wishborn saiyan.
According to Poptart literally any vote will do that, so chin up! This is the last part of this sidequest where we get our reward. We just need to check if that reward is an extra wish (limited to internal focuses?) Or an opportunity to "prove" our trustworthiness to Bassoon.

EDIT: The only question is if we Futuresight to a future where we break the circle or don't break the circle. The latter would probably give us more information about what breaking the circle would actually do, and give us Bassoon's answer when not under the possible effects of this being in his head... actually, I've just convinced myself that's better. Changing the plan.

And then it turns out that Bassoon is the guy the dragon balls are currently linked to insted of his father and freeing Purunga here frees him for real.

It does seem asking Basson might be for the best or his father since he might know more about this.

All right, got some proposals, and the vote is open! This vote will take us through the end of this event chain and move us into more regular monthly events. We've gotten a bit bogged down here. I, for one, am ready to get going.

We have some write-ins!

[] Try to leave, but come back later with help from bassoon to get rid of the trap from the outside, possibly with further help from mages on Namek.

Leave, come back with help. Fairly straightforward.

[] Cautious Seer
[] Use Futuresight to see what would happen if you simply blew the trap up, as Dazarel suggested.
-[] If the above course of action would not end well or at least be ineffective, use Futuresight to see the effects of using the trap against itself by wishing the trap destroyed.
-[] Finally, if neither course of action would be effective, simply leave and get help from Bassoon and his father.

Try to get recursive with Sight. This one is a little tricky, but you can at least make the attempt, and it has a, "in case of failure, get Bassoon," provision.

[] Plan Just Ask Bassoon
-[] Use futuresight to see what Bassoon would say if we were to break the circle and tell him about it afterwards. (Explicitly decide to ask him afterwards what he'd have preferred we'd done if we break the circle.)
--[] Do whatever he says he would have preferred.
-[] Split off a Multiform to make conversation whilst you're having the vision. What does Porunga get out of being a wish dragon? See how Dazarel and Porunga interact. Maybe they can be friends, or Porunga might change Dazarel's mind on the benefits of becoming a wish dispensary?

Also getting recursive, now with multiform use to ask questions and abet dragon socialization. The final bit about trying to angle Dazarel into becoming a wishing dragon means that this plan receives x1.1 vote weighting from Ambitious.

Only if he wants to! If he's thinking about it maybe we'll encourage him, but if it turns out he thinks Porunga's deal sucks we won't make him.

...So, dragons are normally really powerfull ki-wise (see Dazarel), and they also get psychich powers. Somehow, when they become wishing dragons they..exchange ki-psychich power in a magical ritual for a mix of magic/god ki power, limited to the wishes?

...I can't help but wonder where did Kami find Shenron to make HIS dragonballs. Or is Shenron somehow different?

..Is Shenron actually Porunga's SON?

All of the write-ins are results that I would be happy with, so I'll go with them.

Trying to, what, reverse slipshank ourselves the answer?
Interesting approach. Hope we don't frag ourselves.

Not a huge fan of not just leaving but I'm okay with this as a compromise position.

[x] take risks, be prepared
-[x] (x1.1 weighting from, "Ambitious.") It is not a trick -- or, at least, you're willing to risk it, in pursuit of a wish. Why would the trap want you to destroy itself? In any event, you don't intend to just leave this trap sitting around for Bassoon to stumble into at a later date. Destroy the circle, and earn a wish.
--[x] it probably is a trick, but if it's not you can hardly leave him here, even leaving aside the wish

I think I'll stick with this. I was gonna go for a straight go for it vote but I think it's a bit too obviously a trick for that.

@PoptartProdigy, it would also have been nice to have a reminder of the base options here - I strongly suspect convenience is integral to this quest's voting.

I mean, the base options are still threadmarked. They're just a click away.
