Nakano Mika apparently has significant influence over the Nakano Corporation, a multi-million development company? And she's established as a scary powerful nineteen(!) year old veteran?

Did we accidentally end up making close ties with essentially a self-contained major player in the Japanese guca sphere? Can we use that company for post-WPN reconstruction?

I mean from her first appearance people were speculating that she was rather powerful so her having mundane power just sweetens the deal. Although I do wonder about whether she has some sort of secret reputation for crazy or whatever - probably paranoia over her being really reasonable though.

Also, it's interesting, but all things considered, Homura is Sabrina's best friend, isn't she? I don't normally remember to think of that, because we make so much talk about how Homura is Homu-mom, and when you think "Homura" in the same sentence as "best friend" you remember mostly Madoka's declaration that Homura has been her very best friend, or at least, that's what I remember. But that's orders of magnitude different. And Kirika is bestbuddy, but that's different in it's way too. All being said and done, Sabrina's 'best friend' position is very much Homura's, isn't it?

I dunno, that thought is just being interested to turn over and think about.

I dunno; I'd say that Mami is Sabrina's best friend. But Homura and Sabrina have a very special relationship. I'd say that Homura is Sabrina's closest confidante (and vice-versa, even).

Seeing as Mika might have done far more for Kyouko than we expected... if she's got ties like that, that might explain why she's so powerful... but more important, she might be even more of a super useful contact to have, than we realized, right?

We should call her later, thank her for her help, and while we're there, we could comment about whether the Nakano have ties with the Shizukis... and even if they do already, it never hurts to have more friends-of-friends?

We know we could use our powers to make bullshit valuable stuff... Mitakihara might require some rebuilding post Walpnight... Nakano is a constructing company...

It would be super nice of them to reconstruct everything lost in the walp fight for 'free'.

They aren't some small scale city development company, they're "one of the largest" in the country. For comparison, the fifth largest IRL Japanese development company is valued at around five billion USD.

(The largest has a net income of twenty billion USD a year, and its owner is one of the top ten wealthiest people in Japan.)

Also... while Mika seems nice and all, she won't be the only guca with OP OP powers.

Hell, we've got Riona incoming. These gucas have powers that could destroy us easily if we're not prepared. We're no Mami. And Mami herself isn't invincible either.

So we should get around to trying and making as many protective Speckled Enchantments as possible, since we possibly could just keep them on 24/7 as long as we wanted without detrimental effects. No reason to not try, really.

We should ask Mami for suggestions in a bit.

Gaelic languages are not closely related to Romance or Germanic ones, and have a variety of sounds not common therein, but nevertheless are written with Latin characters. So the sounds are a bit different, and sometimes digraphs are used and treated as distinct letters. There is a consistent mapping from letters to sounds but it doesn't always match the English reading (or French, or anything else).

In this particular case (judging by Wikipedia for Scottish Gaelic), "Mag Aoidh" breaks down roughly as:
M : m
a : a
g : k

Ao : u (sort of, sound not in English, a lot like the "oo" in "foot", IPA ɯː)
i : i
dh : y (sort of, though it's closer to what would be a j in Spanish)

So from that, we get the Anglicized "MacGee" and variants ("Magee", "McGee") basically just by dropping the "Ao" and retranscribing to English orthography. On a quick search, "Maggie" as a first name looks like coincidental similarity – derived from a shortening of "Margaret", which is in turn from Greek μάργαρον (márgaron, "pearl"). Or other M-G names ("Magdalene", "Marjorie").

So, tl;dr: If Sabrina mispronounces Riona's surname, think of it as "Riona MacGee".

Just to note, we've accumulated a bunch of timestop SCIENCE! (or just SCIENCE! with Homu) to do.

- We asked Homu to spot for us when we do that 'release lots of Grief and see what happens' thing.

- Homu is worried about our treatment of Grief Seeds, so we should proceed in our experiments to communicate with Seeds in Homura's company.

- We need to train ourselves to act as a Gem, without our body.

- We need to deck ourselves in protective Speckled Enchantments.


So... I'd say we want to ask Homu for a timestop session at some point soon. It can happen literally any time... it just needs to happen.

There are a lot of ways it can go wrong, and Koko's nobody's charity case.

Anyway, the main problem is that Mitakihara is Mumi's stomping grounds. I think Kyouko considers it hypocritical to enroach on someone else's territory when she so jealously protects hers. ( Or maybe she respects Mami too much to do that. )
So if we really want to her to move in Mitakihara, we need to resolve their grudges with each other.

edit: I refuse to be ninja'd! Onmarble, I call you out to a ninja competition go to sleep.
