Again, clearly this means we need to create some magical fireworks, and then our Gandalf-ness shall be complete.
Ulgu is illusion, no reason we can't make some cool smoke effects.
Yes, but we can go further.Fireworks?
You mean fire flask that makes lots and lots of fire?
There's also the fact that in-Quest the former MP of the Grey Order was named Olorin, which is another of Gandalf's name.It all makes sense now.
EDIT: Thinking about it, Gandalf is a Light Wizard not a Grey Wizard! Bah!
It's just the dragon fucker (may or may not be plural) constantly failing to comprehend that not every last quester shares their fringe fetish. And yes, it's fucking tiring
So, placing my bets on the next social, Eike is the short bet, as it just makes sense to visit her while in Altdorf.
But my long bet is on 'Social interaction initiated by someone else', as these trips to the city seem to historically be the times that people try and get in contact with the even harder than normal to catch lady grey wizard.
And my stretch bet is that it will be the Grand Theogonist that will try and get a meeting with us.
because if I was a member of Preist quest, I would really want to know what is going on with this 'Lady Weber' whose name seems to be popping up around the Elf-thing and who just magic some dwarfs back into reality this turn.
I thought that he largely gave up on that, by Word of Boney.Honestly, I was thinking that Thorgrim would want to talk with Mathilde.
When did Boney say that?
He wanted to meet with her when the Karak Vlag situation was new and weird and she might have some insight into it. He had to figure things out without her, so he doesn't need her input there any more.
though I'm not convinced that he didn't still want to talk to her, but that he just got sick of a certain god making sure that he never got to be in the same city.He wanted to meet with her when the Karak Vlag situation was new and weird and she might have some insight into it. I'm confident that the comment 'all wolfs are born of Ulric, but not all die of him' means that the Al-Ulric knows that Wolf is a ranalded puppy.Would be funny if we got something similar to the meeting with the Al-Ulric, who I'm pretty sure thought Mathilde was a devout ulrican on account of Wolf, just with the Grand Theogonist spending the meeting thinking that she's a devout sigmarite since she has spent most of her life aiding dwarves.
Pity the agendas didn't line up though. Would have been nice to look upon Thorgrim with windsight like we did Roswita.though I'm not convinced that he didn't still want to talk to her, but that he just got sick of a certain god making sure that he never got to be in the same city.
Thorgim: Ok fine, you bloody cat, but I'm making sure you get a grudge added to the deal!

I wonder how much Shyish and Ulgu there would have been in Thorgrim when he was in the "my people are all going to die, and i am the only one allowed to know"
And what he looks like now that he has some hope.
More Chamon probably, for logical planning, and some Azyr, as the hope that his people have a future beyond him sinks in.

Oops, forgot about that.Dwarves cannot have ambient Winds inside of them without slowly petrifying, and to prevent this they undergo the rites of Valaya shortly after birth to keep ambient Winds out.
Ah, yes, the time when Mathilde nearly shanked the messenger from the Chancellor. (Okay, I'm exaggerating, but still...)It doesn't really work on people. It only tells you what someone is feeling, not why they're feeling it. Someone might be full of Ulgu because they're lying to you, or because they're trying to remember the lyrics to a song.
I'm not, that could just as easily be in reference to Wolf's status as a familiar.
(Which is not too say that he thought Mathilde was an Ulrican)
"Interesting," he says at last, turning his gaze from the cocked head of a slightly uncomfortable Wolf. "All wolves are born of Ulric, but not all die of Ulric. This is perhaps the least bad reason for that, amongst a great many very bad reasons. Does he retain the nature of a wolf?"
"Very well," he says. "Let us speak as one faithful to another."
Think my initial read on that exchange was the Al-Ulric saying that Wolf wouldn't "die of Ulric" since he was now a familiar, but that being a familiar to an ulrican was the least bad reason for not dying "of Ulric". The "one faithful to another" wasn't him seeing that she was a ranaldian (ranaldite?), but rather him still assuming she was an ulrican. That said I would have to go back and reread it, this is just me going off the vibe I got from the chapter on my initial read-through and seeing the quotes now.The only way he would know that Mathilde is faithful is if he noticed that Wolf was a boon from Ranald.
