Honestly, I think if Mathilde was asked to snoop around Talabecland's EC (the current strongest candidate), it might actually be palatable. From what we know:
- Talabecland is where Dieter IV's dynasty went to consolidate power
- Talabecland forced Van Hal not to touch the northern trade and take Schultz in exchange for their vote
- Talabecland had to desperately avoid grudges from Karak Kadrin when the canal business came up with Ostermark
- Talabecland traders bought peat from the vampires

None of those are incriminating on their own, but taken all together, it starts to paint things in a bad light.

Not as bad as it could be. The dwarfes aren´t some random allies, the empire was founded into its back to back stand with the Karaz Ankhor.

Still a concern of course, but less of a deal breaker than it might be in any other nation or with any other nation.

There'll be a social for spectating, and gossiping about it would probably come with it.

I'm pretty sure we are not killest 1 vs 1 wizard in the colleges. Maybe not even one of the top 10. An average necrah almost killed us and a khornate norscan champion would kill us for sure. We are killiest against middle-tier enemy leaders, I'd say.
