I doubt that the "Situation of Karag Dum" roll was too good for us, if only because if it was particularly good Boney'd have posted something much more like "I don't know what I even expected" or "the dice continue to have no chill" or "goddamnit Ranald". :V

Given those, I don't expect it to be particularly bad, but I also doubt that we're going to walk in and trip over any legendary artifacts.
Thing is he usually says those things when we're going to find out next update anyways, with Dum he has an incentive to keep quiet about what the roll means until we find out for ourselves to prevent metagaming.

"Fellow Traveler" might have seemed them be willing to share more information and news with us or something.

I'll take it, though. We get food. And no horrible worries breaking out, just yet.

It might be "too good" in the sense of 'Not sure what to do with this.' Adds complications, in that Dum is bustling and full, but wants an entire campaign from the Karaz Ankor to provide support to it, or... Something like that.

The checkmark is the result rolled, 'canon' is the situation in Gotrek and Felix.
I reeaally wanna know how the Dum timesink situation has been kicked into overdrive.

Do they think it's still the Great War of Chaos, or is it a "Oh yes, I think we've heard of this 'Karaz Ankor', in the Before-time, the Long-Long-Ago."

And all the Dum dwarves are wearing Mad Max fashion.

You know, 5 or 6 would have risked the charade falling apart from extended chances for the Dolgan to notice something is up.
'Due to a series of shenanigans, they instead become convinced that we are some weird ass Norscans who have befriended some Norscan Dwarfs -- probably heretic Dwarfs -- and have decided to help them visit some family in the east...'

The players of Dolgan Quest, to their dying day, are convinced that the Norscan Dwarfs -- or some of them, anyway -- have gone Dawi Zharr, and that this is actually an expedition to capture and conquer Karag Dum and make it their new hold.

Maybe it wasn't kicked into overdrive.

Maybe it was kicked all the way into... reverse.

It is now 1800-2000 years ago for them, and...

Ok, now im starting to worry that walking into Dum could kick off an 'hour inside is a year outside' sort of thing.
Thankfully Cyrston's Seasonal Attunement should give us some sign that something weird is going on with time.
Why are you people hearting this? that roll was great!
Hugs aren't just about sympathy, they have a variety of meanings. Here they presumably are being used to indicate joy and happiness about the result just like you are expressing.

Yeah in this case it's relief and nervous laughter letting off tension. Hmm... I could Funny it instead? Nervous relieved laughter is still laughter after all.

Anyway, I wonder if the difference between a 3 and a 4 on that is "Eh, they sell you stuff of course, but decide to gouge you a little bit because captive audience and markets and supply and demand and etc."

Here's my theory on what we find in Karag Dum.

Alternate universe future Gotrek and Thanquol tumbling out of the portal from Age of Signal to the world that was aka to Mallus, which is a real thing from ... I want to say the Realmwars book.

Alternate universe future Felix was already in karag Dum through an entirely different set of circumstances.
