OTOH, there are Vampires who openly visit Uzkulak and we're using a Sylvanian name.
Yes, but how many people do you expect to openly admit to being a vampire's servant, as opposed to saying they're acting on the behalf of a Norscan Jarl or leader of a marauder band as their thrall-wizard? Uzkulak aside as a neutral ground for trading, undead and Chaos don't exactly get along.

I think 'native' Sylvanian names run more pseudo-Romanian or pseudo-Hungarian, Gabriella von Ernachthafen sounds more traditionally pseudo-Germanic- i.e. Reikspiel- to me. Chalk it up to mixed cultures and external ruling families and/or Reikspiel-ised placenames. Not that Bored Chaos Customs Dwarf cares.
For what it's worth I interpret "Ernachtfallen" here as less a mistake and more bored customs dwarf deliberately using the filler word as an excuse to mess with the Obvious Grey Wizard.

If we had actually said Grey, rather than "incognito" he might actually have been impressed, because at least we would be bold enough to run with our obviousness, rather than sticking to the bit. :V

I'm assuming it's just the same/similar model- I refuse to believe that Kroq-Gar got beaten by some random Norscans.
While I agree it is unlikely, one must remember that there are Norscans who carry around Ithilmar weapons they claimed as spoils of a raid, for all that the High Elves would find it laughable that the Norscans could ever raid Ulthuan's coasts.

Kroq-Gar

Guys, guys you should totally buy that Golden Gaunlet! It is an Old One Artifact!
*Wonders how Kroq-Gar could have lost it* The Four Fingers did it for me. It would be an Artifact from Khemri if it had five, but Saurus Warriors only have four Fingers!
*Totally oblivious if this point has been raised before in the 50 something Pages since the Update*

Note that its probably not Kroq-Gar's Hand of Gods.
Might be the same model of artifact, but I doubt KG's version is the only one ever built.
Given all the Slann cities that got trashed during the First Chaos Incursion, there's a lot of loot out there.

Besides I cant find any citation that the Hand of Gods is an Old One artifact anyways.
Fandom Wiki just calls it an ancient artifact, which makes it far more likely that is Slann or lizardman work.

I don't want to give any money to these pirates for personal items.

I wouldn't mind spending the money (even spending it frivolously) in the Empire or the Dwarf holds but spending it here is bad juju. Besides we can visit Barak Varr and other similar tradespots for interesting items.

Why would it not be? To me, it seems like he is clearly asking: "Are you a Grey Magister, a Black Magister, a vampire Thrall or anonymous?".
One of the options mentioned for what sort of wizard we were was 'Thrall', so presumably slaves capable of casting magic would be one such sort of notable. Another might be Darksouls.
The most common use of "thrall" is in regards to one brainwashed by a vampire.
You're all wrong. Thrall Wizards are specifically powerful servants of Tzeentch, the changer of ways. :V

Typically you can spot them because they swoop in on magical daemon-surfboards with hands full of invisible fire, but there's nothing stopping them from being more subtle.

It occurs to me that the Asrai are due to visit K8P at some point in the future to check on the waystones. I think we should surprise them with a big tree.

Note that we are coming back here and freeing those slaves after the Expedition.

I was a bit too caught up in the excitement to comment this morning, but I find it hilarious that Mathilde's first instinct is to use Heidi's old alias and only change the last name to the city she ruled.
Oh wow, I missed that that was what the surname was. Mathilde's brand of intrigue is very much more "sneaking in undetected" than "talking your way past a bored guard", isn't it? Maybe we should add that to the list.

The Eonir of Laurelorn are entirely distinct from the Asrai.
'waves hand back and forth' ehhhh

their not as batshit crazy, but they are still a realm of the wood elfs.

Orion is still their boss.

its better to think of them like the elf version of Hochland that also has a land gap form the rest of the realms.

I think you may be confusing Divided Loyalties Laurelorn with Dynasty of Dynamic Alcoholism Laurelorn, at least in regard to the "Odin is still their boss." point.

No, they're explicitly entirely separate nations. This isn't torroar's quest, his worldbuilding - though admittedly excellent - doesn't hold true here.

That would probably be a combined Diplomacy Intrigue thing, actually, or at least having them close in numbers. On the other hand, I would totally support buffing our diplomacy when we get back. A few lessons to put Kislev and Brettonia up to advanced and our Colleges of Magic diplomacy, and we'll have almost 20. If the Empire of Man grows with Kislev and Brettonia, we will have 20. Add some elf diplomacy skills—which will probably happen during the Elfcation and working in Waystones—and we can even get to about 25.

While I believe visiting the Hall of Slaves (and then leading a slave revolt) would be the morally correct thing to do it would also probably be a quest ender and I knew that we would have to leave them there when I voted to shop here.

Meat is the whole reason for coming duh.

I am 100% sure that the arm and nut will lead to shenanigens given that they are stolen from the lizardmen and asrai respectivly (I also find it ammusing that they managed to get these past the door guards) but I am also 100% on board with said shenanigens happening.

I *also* feel that saving and distributing the papers are a moral imperative. Hopefully with a way to give any next of kin closure and get her name to be accredited.

That's just Torroar's quest. In canon, they're wholly distinct. No forest spirits, no Wild Hunt, no Ariel.
