Ranald.
Ranald.
... This makes way too much sense.
Yeah, he can make you believe he's telling the truth 100%, making him seem undoubtable.
How much must it hurt the Dawi that they can't even properly pin down what Ranald is?being, spirit, force, ancestor, demiurge, and/or anthropomorphic personification commonly known as Ranald
Dwarves investigating Sigmar: hmm, the champion of their Grimnir equivalent, that makes sense.
Dwarves investigating Mathilde: There is nothing about this I understand.
That was certainly an inspired way to represent the God of Thieves, Gamblers, Conman and Rebels."Okay. I am a worshipper of the human God Ranald, whose spheres are stealth, luck, trickery, and protecting the innocent."
Seems Grombrindal turned up to complain about being shown up by a Umgi. After certain confidential information was vouchsafed to this body by a source of undoubtable repute

Notificaton: Gazul says that the reincarnation was voluntary. The Dawi > human soul shall reincarnate again into Dawi once everything is fixed. An announcement from the Emergency Meeting of the Ancestor Cult Conclave of the Karaz Ankor, hosted in Karaz-a-Karak.

That's certainly one way Ranald could have gone about it.
Does anyone know why the dwarf High King of Sigmar's time the Chaos worshiping nomads are both called Kurgan? Is it just GW being silly or is there a lore reason?
BECAUSE THEY STOLE HIS NAME. A GRUDGE FOR SUCH THEFT-Does anyone know why the dwarf High King of Sigmar's time the Chaos worshiping nomads are both called Kurgan? Is it just GW being silly or is there a lore reason?
Grombrindal's little(taller) helper?Dwarves investigating Mathilde: There is nothing about this I understand.
Oh, yeah, the Protector, forgot that's on, hah. Yeah, that'd explain how big of a- was- wait a second-Oh! Oh... I reckon Boney must've rolled either boxcars (again) or a crit on the amount of rep we'd get due to The Protector.
Would- would further supplying the Rune of Azamar count as 'defending' the dwarves against the danger of chaos? Karak Vlag was an old hold, right? Should be supplying the network too, not acting as just a relay. Then again, the 'defence' is probably too abstract, and Mathilde has no idea that that was ever an issue in the first place, I'm just overthinking things.- The Protector: When you act in a way that defends an individual or group from a danger that you did not cause, they will become aware of what you have done and will believe you acted selflessly in doing so.
I mean, it is not completely implausible given Mathildes relationship with her god. If Ranald had stolen a soul out of another gods afterlife for shits and giggles, he would certainly keep a very close eye on them in life and give them the occasional boon, but wouldn't put the same expectations on them as he would for a normal priest - after all, they aren't a worshipper, but a fun hobby.
That's why I hedged my bets with "prominent". The Warprail is a minor background detail for the Skaven, but the Chaos Dwarfs bring their trains to battle.
She started the quest with it.Was Mathilde always a believer in Ranald? I thought she sorta picked it up during her time as the spy mistress of Stirland
