Quick edit to shrink the star a lot and also give it a more flag-y aspect ratio to see what it would look like. Nothing precise, just quickly done in MS Paint. The new design actually puts a bit more emphasis and weight behind the Dum symbol comparitivly, with the slightly lengthened reach and all that.
Also if you're going to integrate that fold in at the ends then maybe they should be "Brought in" like they are on all the other Dwarf emblems. (Not saying that'd even be any better or worse on artistic merits, but it is more traditional which makes it better by Dwarf merits.) And there's a missing corner near the knot, and I noticed your version has both the Karak and Dum symbols smaller... This is starting to sound bossy and overly critical so I'll make the edits myself.
Steel Gray Version as well:
It's a pun on "right of way".So, quick question: from my understanding of RoW, it was intended as a pun on the verb form of row—such as Mathilde rowing across rivers or something—not the noun. Was I an idiot for forgetting that row is also a noun, and much better fitting in that form? Or did we all collectively overly miss it? Because it felt awkward whenever I looked at it, and I thought I was missing something, but I can't remember seeing anything that would make me think of the noun either...
Rite of way is a name with many possible puns. To me the first thing I thought of when I saw the name Rite of Way is the phrase right of way.So, quick question: from my understanding of RoW, it was intended as a pun on the verb form of row—such as Mathilde rowing across rivers or something—not the noun. I got that too, yes, but there were multiple layers pointed out when the idea was first floated. I'm just wondering if I stumbled on a new one or not.
"Right of way" was the core pun in the name, any other puns involving the word "row" are definitely unintentional but not invalid.I got that too, yes, but there were multiple layers pointed out when the idea was first floated. I'm just wondering if I stumbled on a new one or not.
I don't know if it's intentional but I like how the sharp corners of the mountain portion gives it a harder feel while the star has rounded edges, implying a softer and more fluid nature, fitting for magic and Chaos.
Especially given Panorama didn't bother touching them for years.
Seems a trifle unfair to blame an NPC for not taking an action from the protagonist list in a PC-driven quest. That's what I mean by our impetus. Both times any study has been done into these things, it was because Mathilde knocked on her door and asked, essentially.
Asarnil was intending to wait for them at a border town in Ostland, as I recall.
"Oh, them. Every time I go there, Deathfang gets weird looks from a bunch of half-naked Dwarves, like they're starving dogs looking at a banquet. We'll make ourselves comfortable in Bechafen until we're needed."
Haven't we lost actions before due to lost opportunities? I mean, sure, if the Waaaghsoak had been "ours", or Panoramia actually worked for us, that would be one thing. But the action was about poking Panoramia into getting a move on with one of her projects, not asking for help with one of ours. At least, if I'm remembering that correctly. Considering she's had the things for several years, she really should have done at least a little bit more with them, especially since Boney doesn't really write a static world where everything depends on us doing stuff.Seems a trifle unfair to blame an NPC for not taking an action from the protagonist list in a PC-driven quest.
I'm fine with a bunch for Mathilde, those are (from my perspective) earned. They refer to events and deeds that we were all there for.If that bothers you, I have some bad news.
M.(istress of Mushrooms) W.(right of Way)
Part of me wishes that leaving stuff undone for too long would make someone else do it instead.Seems a trifle unfair to blame an NPC for not taking an action from the protagonist list in a PC-driven quest.
My recollection was that they were always a shared project between the two of us, I've definitely been willing to extend more credit on that basis.I mean, sure, if the Waaaghsoak had been "ours", or Panoramia actually worked for us, that would be one thing. Panoramia definitely identified them, but the framing of the follow-up action looked like one Mathilde made a note to pursue. She's also spent some time in the depths of Karag Lhune, and though she spent a great deal of time complaining that fungi and flora were supposedly as different as plants and animals, she's found a great deal to be interested in in a variety of mushrooms valued by Night Goblins for its ability to absorb ambient magical energies. The Goblins tap into those energies by consuming the mushrooms, which would be the stupidest idea you've ever heard if it weren't for a great deal of other greenskin ideas you've had the misfortune of hearing. Panoramia believes the mushroom might have non-stupid applications, and your curiosity is definitely piqued. Something to follow up after the battle.

Definitely can confirm it wasn't the intent at the time. No acronyms were harmed in the coining of the original pun.Oh! I think I see what you are saying! Like, when you line your army up in a row to get somewhere quickly? I do think that is a new one.
That, or an actual street. Rows, in particular, have continuous features.Oh! I think I see what you are saying! Like, when you line your army up in a row to get somewhere quickly? I do think that is a new one.
About Mathilde's Windsight:Was actually pulling straight from Word of God there.
EDIT: Weber'd

Deicide. Do it for morals or to get best titles...See. This is a reason to kill the horned rat. Not some Hocus pocus about morals. No. We want the best titles, so he has to go.
